Transfer the ground beef mixture to a casserole dish.

Add the tomatoes to the ground beef mixture and stir to combine.

Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 50 minutes.

Carefully uncover the casserole dish, sprinkle the cheese over the top of the hamburger hash, and bake until the cheese melts, about 10 minutes.
