This is the best way to make deviled eggs! Would recommend using less horseradish, try 1 to  2 teaspoons, tasting after adding each teaspoon.

Excellent!  I'm not fan of dill so I substituted celery seed.

I did not find the horseradish to be overpowering (2 level tablespoons), and, along with the other spices, these made for tart eggs - as deviled eggs should be! (admittedly, I do like spicy foods)  Be careful to not add too much mayonnaise (taste along the way) as the mayonnaise tends to lessen the flavor of the yolks), or alternatively, add an extra egg yolk or two. Not the absolute best I have ever tasted, but very good! I will definitely make them again!

I totally agree with you ladies. 2 Tablespoons is way too much Horseradish. I added a Teaspoon tot he mixture. Then went back for a wee bit more. Love the snap that this one offers. I also topped mine with some cooked bacon and another shake of Dill weed to finish off. Paprika right before serving. Everyone really enjoyed this Different version.TOH VFE.

The picture does not do this recipe justice.  I have been using this recipe for years and everyone that I have made them for love them. Using 2 tablespoons of horseradish would probably be a little bit much. Use 1 tablespoon  prepared horseradish  per 6 eggs.  These things are loved so much that I usually triple the recipe using 18 eggs (makes 36 completed deviled eggs),  3/4 cup of mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons horseradish,  1 1/2 teaspoons of dill weed, 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard, 1/2  teaspoon  of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper  and garnished with paprika.  I have tried adding in relish but  in my opinion, they don't turn out as good with relish.

I love this recipe! I make them every Thanksgiving.  There is a hit of spiciness with the horseradish then it is quickly cooled by the dill. I am disappointed if they all get eaten and I do not have any left overs for the next day!

When I made these I thinned the filling with sweet pickle juice, and it added another element of flavor that blended well with the current recipe.  My husband's new favorite deviled eggs

My family loved these eggs.  I had a co-worker who gave me eggs from her chickens. The eggs were super fresh; I used just 1 Tbls of the horseradish-which gave the eggs just a subtle hint of taste. Awesome recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Very Good - I used 1 tablespoon horseradish and that was plenty. These had a nice "bite" from the horseradish

Egg-cellent tip I read on Facebook: 1/2 tsp baking soda added to water while it boils will help the egg shell come right off.

Awesome!  I love them, my husband loves them, and most of the guys like them.  Some women did not like them because they thought they were too spicy.  Because the women did not care for the spiciness is the only reason the recipe didn't get five*.  Have made these three times.

I also used just 1 TB of horseradish.  It was just enough!!  They are delicious.  I will definitely make them again.

Too much dill and horseradish, even after adding a lot more mayonnaise and some cream cheese.  Next time I will try a different recipe.

Wow I really though these would be delicious after reading all the great reviews...but I was so disappointed. I only used 1 tablespoon of horseradish but it was overpowering. I added a little sweet relish to try to balance it, which helped but I will not make this one again.

First time I made them, we fell in love with them. They were going to be our go to deviled eggs. Second time, I could not remember if I used 1 or 2 T. of horseradish or horseradish sauce. I used 2 T. horseradish. All you could taste was the overwhelming horseradish and they were terrible!!! I tried to tame them down with more mayo but it did NOT work. Next time I'll try 1 T. Rule of thumb that I should have followed is start with the smallest amount. You can always add more but you can't take it out. Will also try the shelled hard boiled eggs that I saw at Costco to save time.

No one liked these. Too dry and the horseradish too overwhelming. I tossed them. Went back to my classic recipe.

For those of you who find the horseradish to over powering, try using 1-2 tbsp of horseradish mayo instead. I think you'll find it alot more pleasing.

This is now my go to recipe for deviled eggs!  Everyone said they were the best they ever had...only used 1 tablespoon of horseradish tho and they had just the right amount of tang without being overpowering!!  Taste of Home does not disappoint!!

Made these for Thanksgiving Day appetizer.  Everyone loved them - I used one tablespoon of horseradish, and it seemed to have the right amount of kick.

My family is huge deviled egg fans and these are by far our favorite!  There's no such thing as making a single batch, either!

Tried this for TG, and first time I've ever had eggs left. Horseradish way too strong of a taste for deviled eggs. No one really liked them except my husband, who likes spicy foods, so will be tossing this recipe.

Way too strong!!  I only used half the horseradish the recipe called for and it was still too much!
