Step 1

Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and place it into a large bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients for the chicken and toss to combine and coat well. Cover with plastic wrap and set in the fridge to marinate for at least half an hour before cooking.

Step 2

Melt two tablespoons of the butter over medium high heat in a large high sided skillet on the stove. Place the marinated chicken into the skillet and cook on both sides until almost completely cooked through. Remove the chicken and keep warm.

Step 3

Add another two tablespoons of butter to the skillet, and mix in 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp cumin, 3 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp of ginger paste, and onion. Stir to combine and cook for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium and pour the crushed tomatoes and heavy whipping cream into the skillet. Simmer until the sauce has thickened.

Step 5

Add the chicken back into the skillet and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.

Step 6

Stir the remaining two tablespoons of butter into the skillet and serve.
