Step 1
Boil potatoes and dice into cubes. I have used frozen peas. If using frozen peas defrost it and set aside.
Step 2
Heat a pan and add oil. Once the oil gets heated add mustard seeds, chana dal. Let it crackle.
Step 3
Now add onion, curry leaves, and a little salt. Saute until the onion turns translucent.
Step 4
Now add turmeric powder and saute well. Then add peas and cook for 5 mins.
Step 5
Then add diced potatoes, chili powder, sambar powder, adjust salt and mix well. If required sprinkle little water.
Step 6
Cook until the potato turns crispy or to the required consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves.
