Step 1
Place the flour in a bowl. Season well with salt. Make a well in the centre. Add the milk, butter and egg. Stir until the mixture just comes together.
Step 2
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead until just smooth. Divide into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion until smooth.
Step 3
Place four of the dough portions into a pie maker. Flatten slightly and use a small sharp knife to score a small cross in the middle of each. Turn on the pie maker and close. Cook for 10-12 minutes, brushing with milk halfway, or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining dough portions. Serve warm.
