Step 1

Heat a pan or tawa and lightly dry roast bread slice for 30 seconds on each side at low to medium flame.

Step 2

Do not brown, this step is just to remove the extra moisture from the bread. Once done remove and keep aside.

Step 3

Now add a tablespoon of ghee and a tablespoon of sugar in the same pan.

Step 4

Once the sugar is melted mix it once.

Step 5

Now place the bread over it and coat it in this mixture of melded sugar and ghee. Bread will absorb all the liquid and will turn sweet.

Step 6

Now cook it on low flame util the bread gets crisp and get caramelized.

Step 7

Once done remove and keep aside. Repeat the same process for the rest of the breads.

Step 8

Take fresh cream or malai and mix it with a tablespoon of sugar, if using.

Step 9

Cut and arrange the bread slices on a plate.

Step 10

Once you are ready to serve spread the cream over it. Make sure the bread slices are not hot when you spread the cream over it.

Step 11

Garnish with some chopped nuts of your choice and serve immediately.
