Prepare rice according to package instructions.

Thinly slice the beef across the grain.

In a medium bowl, toss meat with the cornstarch. Set aside.

Coarsely chop the red onion and broccoli.

Heat half of the vegetable oil in a large wok or non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.

Bring to a boil then lower the heat to medium-low and cook until everything is heated through, about 3 minutes.

Plate the stir-fry over hot rice. Serve immediately.
