Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a medium bowl, mash bananas well. Add in egg and whisk together. Mix in butter, vanilla and brown sugar until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and baking powder. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and stir.
Step 4
Fold in 2/3 c chocolate chips and 2/3 c of the almonds.
Step 5
Pour batter into a well greased or parchment lined bread pan and top with remaining chocolate chips and almonds.
Step 6
Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, gently covered with foil until a toothpick comes out clean. You can fold the foil in half to make it tent like if you are worried about the top sticking to it.
