Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples and place them in a large bowl. (Try and keep the slices consistent and thin. It helps them to cook evenly.)

Add in all the remaining ingredients and toss until the apples are evenly coated.

Pour the apples into a 9&#215;13 baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 40 minutes. Then, remove the foil, stir the apples, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes. The apples should be VERY fork tender and the sauce should be fairly thick and bubbly.

Serve the cinnamon baked apples plain or with a dollop of Vegan Whipped Cream.

So Easy Sliced Baked Apples

apples (about 3 cups sliced)

Place the butter or oil into a pie plate or baking dish. Warm in the oven for a few minutes to melt. Remove from oven.

Slice the apples into approximately 1/2-inch slices and discard the cores. Place into the baking dish with the oil.

Bake for 28-34 minutes, or until tender when poked with a fork.

Serve in slices or cut up into smaller pieces and serve over yogurt, oatmeal, or pancakes.

These easy Baked Apple Slices are a simple side dish for chicken, pork, and turkey, or a quick fall dessert with just 10 minutes of prep.

Baked Apple Slices

(½ stick) salted butter, melted

brown sugar

sugar

cornstarch

cloves

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a deep 8-inch or 9-inch square or round baking dish, or a 10-inch cast iron skillet. Set aside.

Place the apple slices in a large bowl.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg and salt.

Pour the butter mixture over the apples; toss to coat.

Transfer the apples and any extra sauce from the bottom of the bowl to the prepared dish.

Bake, uncovered, for about 25 minutes, or until the apples are fork-tender but not mushy. Give them a good stir to coat in the sauce, then serve warm.
