This brisket rub is a blend of barbecue spices that pairs perfectly with beef, as well as chicken, pork and fish. It’s great for grilled, roasted, braised or smoked brisket, and you can even use it on vegetables and potatoes.

Brisket Rub Recipe

brown sugar

paprika

smoked paprika

black pepper (freshly ground)

salt

cayenne pepper

Mix all of the ingredients together. Stir in an airtight container until ready to use.

Brisket rub keeps for up to 4 months in an airtight container when stored in a cool, dry place.

Beef Brisket Rub

This is the perfect beef dry rub recipe, creating a rich, flavorful, crunchy crust, called the bark or Mrs. Brown on brisket, beef ribs, steak, and more.

Prep. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl.

If your meat has not been pre-salted, shoot for about 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt per pound of meat and apply it heavier on thick spots. Storing the rub. If you are not using it immediately, store the rub in a tightly sealed bottle in a dark place. It will slowly start to decline in quality but should be fine up to a year later. Taste it first.

Can Coca Cola

Cup Beef Broth

Tbsp Jack Daniels

Worcestershire Sauce

Tsp Garlic Powder

Trim some of the fat off of your Brisket I do leave most of the fat on the bottom to allow that to help keep the meat juicy.  I had a 15lb Brisket this time, you order one from Snake River Farms or Omaha Steaks if you can&#039;t find brisket locally.

Since I use Better Than Beef Bouillon my beef broth was a bit warm still so the powders dissolved fast!

In a bowl or Pyrex glass measuring cup mix the beef broth, Jack Daniels, Coca-Cola, Worcestershire Sauce, and Garlic Powder.

If you are using a Pit Boss set your smoke setting at P4, I started mine at 8 am in the morning with the smoke setting.  For pellets, I used a Fruit Blend, but this would also be good with Mesquite pellets.

Turn up your smoker to 200 degrees 3 hours later, you can use a basting mop to mop your brisket more with Coca-Cola

4 hours later I turned the heat up to 225 for an hour and a half and then removed the brisket.

Allow to rest and then slice and serve!

How To Smoke Coca-Cola And Jack Daniels Smoked Brisket

Brisket Rub

Tablespoons coarse Kosher salt

Tablespoon smoked paprika

In a bowl start to layer in your seasonings and mix the seasonings well with a fork or a small whisk or fork.

How To Smoke A Brisket With Dry Rub:

At least a day before you are ready to smoke your beef brisket trim the fat off of your Brisket.

Store your rubbed brisket in the fridge in an airtight container until the day of smoking.

Remove your brisket a couple of hours before starting to smoke to allow the meat temperature to rise to room temperature.

Get your smoker ready to go and once its rolling smoke in the smoker then set your meat in the smoker.

When your smoker is at temp and smoking place your meat in your smoker.  I used Apple Pellets to smoke my meat but you could use any flavor.

I recommend a low and slow smoke for 6 to 8 hours since I had issues with it getting too hot I ended up being about a 3-hour smoke.

I cooked my beef brisket to an internal temperature to 150 and allow it to rest for about an hour.
