This Cherry Dump Cake has sweet cherry pie filling, a cheesecake layer and a buttery cake mix topping.  Top with a scoop of ice cream for the easiest, yummiest dessert!!

Cherry Dump Cake

21 oz can cherry pie filling

8 oz tub whipped cream cheese

c sugar

pkg yellow cake mix

c salted butter (melted)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Dump the cherry pie filling into a 9x13 baking pan.

Microwave the cream cheese and stir until smooth.  Stir in the egg and sugar until well combined.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cherries.

Sprinkle the cake mix over the cream cheese mixture.

Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix.

Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown on top.

Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.

This Classic Cherry Delight comes together in just minutes and is made of three simple layers.  If you want a dessert that's not overly sweet yet delicious, this is it!

Classic Cherry Delight

unsalted butter

graham cracker crumbs (about 9 whole crackers)

sugar

cream cheese, softened

vanilla extract

cherry pie filling, 21 ounces

Add the butter to a medium bowl.  Microwave for 30 seconds or until melted.  Add the graham cracker crumbs and sugar and mix well to combine.  Pat the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8 x 8 baking dish.  Set aside.

CRUST

Add the cream cheese to a large bowl.  Mix with a mixer until the cream cheese of smooth and free of any lumps.  Add the powdered sugar and vanilla and mix well.  Add the cool whip and mix until the cool whip and cream cheese are combined, but don&#8217;t overmix.

Spread the filling evenly over the graham cracker crust, using a spoon or offset spatula.  Spoon the cherry pie filling over the top and carefully spread it evenly over the filling.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.  I like to leave it overnight.

Chocolate Cherry Chunk Cookies

flour

tsp baking soda

tsp salt

butter (softened)

dark brown sugar (packed)

tsp almond extract

old fashioned oats

chocolate chips (or chunks)

cherries

pecans (chopped)

Sift baking soda, salt, and flour together in a medium bowl. 

In an electric mixer, beat room temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in the egg and the vanilla and almond extract.

Turn the electric mixer to low and slowly add in the flour mixture.

Beat on low to medium, scraping down the sides and bottom of the bowl. 

Add in the chocolate chips, oats and chopped pecans and mix on low until all of the ingredients are incorporated. 

Using a cookie scooper, scoop a ball of cookie dough and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a preheated 350 degree oven, bake the chocolate cherry chunk cookies for 12-14 minutes. 

Let the cookies slightly cool on a cookie rack and serve warm and freeze the rest!

Crescent Cherry Cheesecake Bars

can Big and Buttery Crescent Rolls

cream

white granulated sugar

almond extract vanilla

cherry pie filling

quick cooking oats

brown sugar

walnut

Spray a 9 x 13 cake pan with cooking spray.  Put the crescent rolls in the bottom of the pan pressing seams together. Using a mixer blend cream cheese, white sugar, almond extract and egg yolk.

Spread over the crescent rolls.  Spread the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.  Combine the oats and brown sugar and sprinkle on top of the pie filling. Add the nuts.   Cut the butter into small pieces on top of the oats and nuts.

Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.  Remove from oven and let cool.

Make the glaze by combining powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract and mixing with a spoon.  You can add more milk if not thin enough or more sugar if too thin.  Drizzle over your cheesecake bars.

Glaze Instructions

A pretty fluted pastry shell, delicate sour cherries, and a splash of orange liqueur combine to create this delicious Sour Cherry Tart.

Sour Cherry Tart

all-purpose flour

Add the flour, powdered sugar, salt, and butter to the bowl of a food processor. Pulse a few times until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract, and heavy cream and process on low just until a dough begins to form. Empty the mixture into a gallon-size resealable plastic bag and press together to form a round disc about 1/2-inch thick.

Seal and refrigerate for 1 hour.

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to a thickness of about 1/8-inch. Lift the dough with the rolling pin and transfer gently to the tart pan, pressing into the sides and trimming any excess from the rim.

Tart Crust

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place on the bottom rack to catch and drips from the tart.

Empty the drained cherries into a large bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar, tapioca, salt and orange liqueur. Stir gently to combine, then let set for about 10 minutes.

Pour the filling into the tart crust and dot the top with the butter. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.

Cool for at least 3 hours before removing the tart pan to allow the filling to set. Slice and serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Spread crushed pineapple and pie fillings into bottom of 9x13” baking pan sprayed with cooking spray.

Stir well to combine.

Sprinkle coconut over pie fillings, then almonds.

Cover with dry yellow cake mix.

Drizzle butter over top.

Bake about 35-40 minutes at 350 until it starts to bubble around the edges.

Cool.

Serve with cool whip or ice cream, if desired.

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 15x10 baking pan with a bit of butter. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the shortening and butter for 1 minute on medium speed.

Add the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Beat together until thoroughly combined and mixture is smooth.

Add the eggs and vanilla, and beat until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Add the flour one cup at a time, mixing with the electric beater until the dough gets thick. Then, switch to a wooden spoon and stir in any remaining flour.

Reserve 1½ cups of the dough, and press the remaining dough into the prepared baking pan.

Bake for 12 minutes, then remove from oven.

Spread the cherry pie filling over the crust, then spoon small amounts of the reserved dough over the top.

Bake for 25 to 28 minutes longer, or until lightly golden brown.

Remove from oven and set on a wire rack to cool completely.

While the bars cool, prepare the icing by combining the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a small bowl, adding the milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired thickness is achieved.

Once bars have completely cooled, drizzle with icing, cut, and serve.
