No such thing as too much chocolate to chocolate lovers. I used skim milk and truvia, and dark chocolate chips and I'll say yes to this. Accidentally left out the vanilla, but it still tastes great.

WAYYYYY too much chocolate. For 2 cups of milk you should use half a cup of chocolate chips max. The cocoa powder isn't really necessary either. I added 2 dashes of cinnamon and 1 dash of chile powder or cayenne pepper. I feel bad about giving this one star but nothing about this recipe offers anything unique or even correct on making hot chocolate.

Whole milk is preferable. 

When you're drinking hot cocoa, you're most likely trying to be festive and cozy, not healthy. Go all out with whole milk. Remember, fat = flavor. If you only have skim or low-fat, don't worry. This recipe will still totally work. 

Watch the milk! 

If you walk away as it's coming to a simmer on the stovetop, it will likely boil over. Trust us, this has happened to us too many times to count. 

Use your favorite kind of chocolate. 

We're partial to semi-sweet (60% cocoa) or bittersweet (70%). But if you like your cocoa a little bit sweeter and creamier, feel free to use milk chocolate. We usually use chocolate chips because they're always in our pantry. But if you want to splurge on a nice bar of chocolate, go for it. It'll be worth it!

 I freeze them and use them as ice cubes. festive look, but no need to eat them or water down cocktail with ice. 
 kids : I keep sparkling juice but use ginger ale in place of champagne. (ginger adds great holiday flavoring ) 
 Serving EVERYONE :I make one decorative bowl of Christmas mixture with ladle. Champagne and ginger ale next to it. Pour either fizzy,top with ladle of Christmas mixture. You decide how much alcohol suits you each time and how much soda kids get (Also keeps champagne/ginger from going flat quickly) I also keep whiskey and chambord next too bowl (for those who need a swift kick )

I do them every year, but I’m replacing raspberries for the cranberries.

My daughter made these for a gathering recently, they are AWESOME!  Will be making them for the holidays to share.

grand marnier

silver tequila

agave syrup

To a large pitcher add full fat coconut milk, coconut water, grand marnier, silver tequila, lime juice and agave syrup. Using a whisk stir everything together until coconut milk no longer separates.

Garnish with fresh cranberries, lime slices and rosemary sprig.

I made this for a cookie decorating party. We drank it...because we didn’t want to waste the tequila. The flavors were not for us. Luckily, with tequila, the third drink of any mixer tends to “get better”.  Oh well, I love trying new recipes and better luck next time.

Not much coconut flavor.  Same as other reviews drinking because I dont want to waste the tequilla!.  Next time I'll try with coconut rum.

Whipped cream and Ground Cinnamon

Stir the espresso powder into the hot water and set aside.

In a glass measuring cup combine milk, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla and nutmeg; stir until thoroughly combined.

Place in Microwave and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until the milk starts to froth up.

Remove from Microwave and stir again.

Place in Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, or until the milks starts to froth up again.

Remove and, while stirring the espresso, slowly pour the milk mixture into the coffee.

Top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon.

Serve.

Tip the rosé, cranberry juice and brandy into a jug with the cinnamon stick, sugar and half the lemon slices. Put in the fridge to chill for 1 hr.

This eggnog recipe is perfect for when you want just a few servings. Morgenthaler says it serves two, but I’d say it easily serves four. It can easily be scaled up if you want to make it for a slightly larger crowd. I like to make this using a stick blender so I can blend it in the same jar I store it in for easier cleanup, but you can use a regular blender here too. Our gingerbread martini is a festive drink made with a ginger flavored simple syrup. Treat yourself or your guests to this special holiday cocktail!

Gingerbread Martini Recipe

molasses

Kahlua (coffee liqueur)

vanilla vodka

gingerbread syrup (or to taste)

In a small saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Cook over low heat until the sugar is dissolved and the ingredients are combined. Remove from heat.

Gingerbread Syrup

(Optional) Dip the rim of a martini glass into a small amount of the gingerbread syrup. Then immediately dip it into either decorating sugar or crushed cookies. Place the glass in the refrigerator to chill while you make the drink.

Place a handful of ice in a drink shaker. Add the Kahlua, Irish cream liqueur, vanilla vodka, and gingerbread syrup. Shake gently. Pour into a chilled martini glass, and serve.
