Coleslaw Dressing

mayonnaise (or dressing)

white vinegar

cider vinegar ((or white vinegar))

sugar

celery seeds

salt & pepper

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk.

Let sit 30 minutes before serving.

Toss with 5 cups shredded cabbage or vegetables.

Sweet Onion & Vinegar Coleslaw Dressing

This homemade Coleslaw Dressing is creamy and so easy to make from scratch with just a handful of ingredients. Toss it with fresh shredded cabbage for the best homemade coleslaw, or use it to elevate the flavor of store-bought coleslaw mix. It&#039;s also delicious with broccoli slaw or apple slaw!

mayonnaise (or plain Greek yogurt)

honey*

celery seed (optional)

salt

In a medium bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients until well combined.

Taste the dressing and add more salt and pepper as needed. If you want the dressing sweeter, add a bit more honey. If you want it tangier, add a little more apple cider vinegar.

Dressing can be used immediately or refrigerated for up to 1 week in an airtight container.

To make coleslaw, toss about ¾ of the dressing with 6 cups of shredded cabbage and carrots, or a 14 ounce bag of coleslaw mix. Add more dressing as needed until the coleslaw is as creamy as you like it. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Coleslaw is best the day it is mixed with the dressing.

Mix the Miracle Whip and sugar together.

Add vinegar and mix well.

Add cabbage to an extra-large mixing bowl. Use paper towels to squeeze out any excess moisture form shredded carrot, then add to the bowl along with green onion and toss to combine.

Dressing: whisk ingredients together in a medium bowl. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Pour dressing over veggies and toss well to coat evenly.

Refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving, for best results.

Vinegar Coleslaw is a healthy coleslaw recipe using a no mayo coleslaw dressing including vinegar, oil and salt and pepper.&nbsp;

Mix Dressing

In a small mixing bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, 3 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper and sugar until 2 tablespoons sugar and salt dissolves. This step is important so that you don&#39;t get grainy bits of undissolved sugar or salt in your coleslaw.

Toss

Pour over the 14 ounces coleslaw mix. Toss well. I find that using forks works best for coleslaw.

Chill

Cover and refrigerate for 1-24 hours. If you remember to toss it every few hours, great, if not, it will be fine.

Drain &amp; Serve

Drain excess liquid before serving. The cabbage will lose its water, so you will have more liquid than you started with. This is normal.

So simple and so good! I didn't miss the mayo at all, even though I really thought I would.  
I used half the dressing to marinade the coleslaw in the fridge and saved the rest of the dressing for sprinkling on my serving of coleslaw when I was ready to eat.
