A delicious treat for any party. These cranberry meatballs are slow cooked in cranberry sauce. These are fantastic prepared a day ahead and reheated for your guests. Always a party favorite. A wonderful recipe that is freezer friendly to have a batch ready any time.

Crock Pot Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs

beef

milk (Note 1)

bread crumbs (Note 2)

eggs

onion powder

garlic powder

parsley

salt

black pepper

cranberry sauce

ketchup (low-salt ketchup can be used)

Dijon mustard

apple cider vinegar

Worcestershire sauce

brown sugar

fresh chopped parsley, optional garnish

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, milk, plain bread crumbs, eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, salt and pepper. Gently combine all ingredients to blend. Shape into meatballs approximately 1 inch round.

Meatballs

In the crockpot, stir together cranberry sauce, ketchup, dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.

Gently place the meatballs in the slow cooker with the prepared cranberry sauce, recipe below

Cook on low for 3 hours, check for tenderness and meat should be cooked through. Should take no more than 4 hours to complete cooking.

Ready to serve. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, optional

Meatballs can be prepared ahead and reheated. Meatballs can also be frozen and used at a later date.

Cranberry Sauce

An easy 3-ingredient appetizer recipe for cranberry bbq meatballs made with cranberry sauce, spicy bbq sauce, and fresh or frozen meatballs.

Spicy Cranberry BBQ Meatballs

spicy barbecue sauce (18-20 ounce bottle, about 2 -3 cups)

Combine sauces over medium heat in a large deep skillet and cook until bubbly.

Add meatballs in a single layer and stir to coat completely. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook until meatballs are heated through; about 15 -20 minutes for frozen, 10 minutes for fresh.

Remove cover and continue to cook for several minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is reduced and completely coating the meatballs.

Serve on their own as an appetizer, or as a main dish over rice.

For slow cooker method, stir sauces together in the pot, then add meatballs and stir to coat. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until heated through and ready to serve. Stir again just before serving.

Cranberry Meatballs

lb bag frozen pre-cooked meatballs (I recommend turkey meatballs)

chili sauce

can jellied cranberry sauce

orange juice

Place the cranberry sauce in a bowl and microwave at 45 second intervals until just melted.

Whisk in the chili sauce, orange juice and brown sugar; stir until mostly smooth.

Place the meatballs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.

Cook for 4 hours on LOW then serve, topped with parsley if desired.

Crock Pot Cranberry Meatballs

(14 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce

(12 ounce) bottle chili sauce

honey

cayenne pepper

frozen meatballs

Whisk or stir together cranberry sauce, chili sauce, honey, cayenne pepper and garlic powder in a medium bowl until smooth and combined.

Place meatballs in your slow cooker. Pour in sauce mixture and stir to coat evenly.

Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, or on high heat for 2 to 2 1/2 hours (or until meatballs are heated through).

Stir again before serving and serve warm.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Meatballs

whole cranberry sauce ((two 14-oz. cans))

ketchup

lemon juice

Pour the meatballs into the crockpot.

Add the cranberry sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and lemon juice – stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.

Spray the bottom of your slow cooker lightly with cooking spray. Add frozen meatballs to the bottom of pot. 

In a large bowl stir together cranberry sauce, cocktail sauce, brown sugar, water, and barbecue sauce and pour over meatballs.&nbsp;

Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours.&nbsp;

Serve warm garnished with chopped green onions, if desired.
