Use this simple homemade marinara sauce for pastas, meatballs, pizza, and as a dipping sauce! This is one of the easiest sauces to make from scratch and is perfect for the freezer.

Homemade Marinara Sauce

Tablespoons Olive Oil

garlic (minced)

plum tomatoes

bay leaf

Italian seasoning

Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Blend the plum tomatoes using an immersion blender, regular blender, or food mill.

Add the tomatoes and seasonings to the pot and stir to combine.

Simmer for 15 minutes or until ready to serve.

Cubed French, sourdough, and/or pumpernickel bread

Grate all of the cheeses. In a medium bowl, combine the cheeses with the cornstarch, tossing thoroughly to coat all pieces.

In a stove-safe fondue pot or large heavy saucepan, bring the wine, garlic, and lemon juice to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add the cheeses to the simmering liquid a little at a time, stirring well between each addition to ensure a smooth fondue. Once smooth, stir in the brandy, mustard, and nutmeg.

Arrange an assortment of bite-size dipping foods on a platter. If necessary, carefully pour the fondue into a fondue pot. Serve with fondue forks or wooden skewers. Dip and enjoy!

In a medium bowl, stir together all of the ingredients: Greek yogurt, garlic, onion, dill, salt, Worcestershire, and cayenne.

Garnish with fresh chives and serve.

A rich, creamy avocado hummus without tahini! This vegan hummus is made with edamame, garlic, and lemon. Enjoy as a dip, healthy snack or sandwich spread!

Edamame Avocado Hummus

shelled edamame (thawed* (about 10 ounces))

avocado (about 8 ounces)

garlic

lemon (about 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice)

black pepper

cilantro

olive oil

Pita chips and veggies (for serving)

In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a still blade, puree the edamame, avocado, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, and cilantro until evenly blended.

With the food processor running, drizzle in the olive oil and continue blending just until combined, about 5 additional seconds. Taste and add additional salt and pepper to taste. Serve with pita chips and veggies as desired.

Simple Strawberry Brie Tartlets (Mini Tart Recipe) perfect for parties all year long, but especially berry season!

Strawberry Brie Tartlets

puff pastry, (thawed (1 box))

egg (+ 1 tablespoon water)

strawberries

soft, ripe brie

thyme

Honey (for drizzling)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Using a 2-inch cookie cutter, cut out at least 40 pieces of pastry dough and lay them on parchment paper-lined baking sheets.

Use a fork to poke holes in the center of each piece of dough to keep the centers from rising too much.

Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the egg wash over each piece of dough. Bake the dough for 8-10 minutes, until golden-brown.

Meanwhile, slice each strawberry into 4-5 thin slices. Scrape off the rind and slice the brie into thin rectangles. Pull the thyme leaves off the stems.

When the puff pastry is golden, remove it from the oven and allow the centers to collapse a little. If they don't, poke them down with a fork. Then layer a piece of brie over each pastry, followed by a strawberry slice, a few thyme leaves and a sprinkle of salt.

Bake another 2-3 minutes until the brie has melted. Drizzle with a scant amount of honey before serving. These are wonderful served warm or at room temperature!

Old El Paso Taco Sauce

Cut the tomatoes, avocado, and mozzarella ball into wedges. Place the tomatoes into a bowl and sprinkle with Old El Paso Taco Seasoning. Toss to coat. Then arrange the tomatoes, avocados, and mozzarella on a platter or large plate.

Drizzle Old El Paso Taco Sauce over the top. Then sprinkle with fresh cilantro over the caprese salad. Salt and pepper if needed.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs. Set aside. Pour the breadcrumbs into another medium bowl. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg and allow excess to drip off, and then into the breadcrumbs to coat. Transfer to a clean plate and repeat the process with all the chicken pieces.

Fill a large skillet about 1/4 inch deep with vegetable oil and heat on medium until the oil is 350°. I place the handle of a wooden spoon into the oil and if bubbles form immediately, the oil is ready. Fry the chicken in batches, about 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate.

Lightly coat an 11&#215;15 baking dish with nonstick spray. Cut the slider rolls in half, if they are not cut. Place the bottom rolls in the pan. Top rolls with 2 cups of cheese and place in the oven for 3-5 minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese. Remove the pan from the oven and spread half of the marinara sauce on top of the cheese. Place a piece of chicken on each bun. Top with the rest of the marinara and then the rest of the cheese. Place on the top buns.

In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, basil, and salt. Stir in the melted butter. Pour this mixture evenly on top of all the buns.

Cover the pan with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until all the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.2. Toss together the asparagus, olive oil, salt and pepper.&nbsp;3. Roll the pastry sheets out on a floured surface and cut into 8 squares. Place a piece of brie on each square and then add a handful of asparagus. Take 2 corners of the pastry and wrap up and over the asparagus to enclose (see above photo). Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining squares. Brush each pastry with egg.&nbsp;Transfer to the oven and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.&nbsp;4. Meanwhile, melt together the honey, butter, and thyme in a small saucepan over low heat.&nbsp;5. Serve the pastries warm, drizzled with thyme honey and crushed red pepper. Enjoy!&nbsp;

We love easy &amp; delicious pinwheel appetizers!! These Hot Ham and Cheese Pinwheels are hands down one of our favorite pinwheel recipes ever. Warm brown sugar glaze is the the ultimate topping to finish off this easy recipe!

Hot Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Pillsbury™ refrigerated Classic Pizza Crust

Swiss cheese (thinly sliced)

(8 tablespoons) butter

brown sugar

poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9&#215;13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Unroll the pizza dough onto a cutting board and press into approximately a 13&#215;18-inch rectangle. Top with ham and cheese slices. Starting on the longer side of the rectangle, roll up the edge tightly. When you reach the end, pinch the seam together and flip the roll so that the seam is face down. Cut into 12 slices, approximately 1-inch wide. Arrange in prepared baking dish.

Next combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and poppy seeds in a sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk until the butter is melted and the glaze is smooth and combined. Pour evenly over the rolls.

Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours or bake, uncovered for 25 minutes until golden and browned. Enjoy!

I stand corrected -  I am the person that wrote the negative review above not knowing how to delete it,  I wanted to make sure  everyone saw this  additional feedback.   After making this recipe,  even though I hated it and planned on throwing them out,  they were tossed in the refrig.   Long story short,  they ended up being served - COLD!     Four different people came up to me asking for the recipe!    The "mixture"   (mustard, brown sugar, butter and worcestershire  ) needs to be poured over the top - equally --- so every roll is properly covered  is the key.   Quick, easy,  can be made the day before and served cold.... a good recipe to have!

Dang! Mine came out looking so fancy! Tastes amazing to, that sauce is magic! No notes, just a new family favorite!

I've tried these before when someone else has made them and they were a hit! SO GOOD. Question though- the recipe says "on the longer side of the rectangle, roll up the edge tightly. " but in the video, you rolled from the shorter side of the rectangle. Which way is it? Thanks!!

Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Gently pat the rinsed beans and red peppers dry to remove excess moisture.

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Pinwheels – Sweet and buttery puff pastry rolled up with brie cheese, cranberries, nuts, and a drizzle of honey, and baked to perfectly flaky pinwheels. 

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Pinwheels

puff pastry, (thawed)

butter, (melted, divided)

Brie cheese, (rind mostly removed and cheese diced)

cranberries, (chopped)

walnuts

powdered sugar, (for dusting (optional))

Preheat oven to 375˚F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Unroll the puff pastry on a clean work surface and brush with about a tablespoon of melted butter.

Add the diced brie, cranberries, and nuts evenly over the pastry.

Drizzle honey over cheese, cranberries, and nuts.

Starting at the long end, roll the pastry up as tightly as possible.

Brush the roll with remaining melted butter.

Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 pinwheels.

Transfer pinwheels to previously prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pastry is golden.

Remove from oven and let stand couple minutes.

Transfer to a serving plate.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Spicy Shrimp Guacamole Bites are the perfect appetizer recipe for any party! Tortilla chips topped with guacamole and juicy roasted shrimp.

Spicy Shrimp Guacamole Bites

raw large shrimp

chili powder

cumin

smoked paprika

lime juice

cilantro (plus additional for garnish)

Bite-sized round corn tortilla chips (1 per shrimp)

feta cheese

Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the shrimp in a large mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and kosher salt. Toss to coat, then spread the shrimp on in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Roast for 4 to 6 minutes, just until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. (Do not overcook, or the shrimp will be chewy.) Set aside.

In a small bowl, combine the guacamole with the lime juice and 1 tablespoon cilantro.

To assemble the bites: Top each tortilla chip with a spoonful of the guacamole and a roasted shrimp. Garnish with additional fresh cilantro and cheese. Serve at room temperature.

Honey Garlic Crockpot Meatballs

BBQ sauce ((use your favorite brand))

oz bag pre-cooked frozen meatballs (thawed)

Lightly spray a slow cooker insert with nonstick cooking spray.

Add bbq sauce, honey, garlic, and cayenne pepper to slow cooker insert and stir to combine well.

Add thawed meatballs and stir to coat well.  																																																														Cover and cook on LOW for. 3-4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.

Stir before serving; serve hot.

Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

puff pastry (thawed overnight in the refrigerator)

Dijon mustard (divided)

thinly-sliced, good-quality deli ham (about 10 ounces)

parsley

Lay a large piece of plastic wrap on your counter (I pressed two long sheets together at the edges to create a single larger sheet). Unfold the first sheet of puff pastry in the center of the plastic, then roll it into a 10x12-inch rectangle. Spread with 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard, leaving a 1/2-inch border on all sides. Lay 6 ham slices on top, overlapping as needed. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.

Starting at the long (12-inch) edge, roll the puff pastry into a log. Trim the ends so that they are even, then tightly wrap the log with the plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry and remaining mustard, ham, and cheese. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Once the log has chilled, using a sharp, serrated knife, carefully cut each log into 1/2-inch-wide slices. (If each log is 12 inches, you will get 24 rolls from each one). Arrange the rolls 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until the puff pastry is light golden brown and the cheese is hot and bubbly, about 18 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with chopped thyme, parsley, or chives as desired. Let cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
