Crush cornflakes: Pour cornflakes into a gallon size resealable bag, seal bag and then use a rolling pin to crush cornflakes to small bits.

Saute cornflakes and cinnamon in butter: Melt butter in a nonstick 10-inch fry pan over medium heat. Stir in crushed corn flakes and cinnamon and increase heat slightly.&nbsp;

Cook mixture, stirring constantly until golden brown and fragrant (color will deepen and begin to smell lightly toasty and corn flakes should be crisp), about 2 minutes.&nbsp;

Let mixture cool: Remove from heat, pour mixture in a shallow dish and allow to cool.

Shape ice cream: Remove ice cream from freezer, scoop out desired serving size (you should be able to get about 8 individual servings, or 4 big restaurant size sharing servings) and shape into a ball with clean hands.&nbsp;

Roll ice cream in cornflake mixture: Immediately drop shaped ice cream ball into corn flake mixture and roll to evenly coat, while pressing corn flake mixture around outer surface for a thicker coating.

Let set: Freeze for 10 - 15 minutes to re-solidify ice cream, keep frozen until ready to serve. Add toppings just before serving.

No Fry Fried Ice Cream

(3 ounces 90 grams) Corn Flake cereal, crushed

(4 ounces 120 grams) Butter

Line a small tray with parchment paper.

Pre-scoop and form ice cream into approx 2 1/2″ balls

Place in the freezer to firm up while making the corn flake mixture.

Pulse corn flakes in food processor to crush into fine crumbs.

Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat, then stir in crushed corn flakes and cinnamon and cook stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from heat and stir in the sugar.

Transfer the corn flake crumbs into a shallow dish and allow to cool.

Once cooled place ice cream ball into mixture and roll to evenly coat.

Press corn flake mixture around outer surface if a thicker coating is desired.

Garnish with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and cherries.

Return to freezer until ready to serve

To serve, add whip cream, chocolate, and cherry, if desired

Tempura ice cream is a Japanese dessert with the perfect balance between hot and cold. Frozen ice cream balls are covered in tempura batter, then fried until golden brown and crispy.

Crispy Tempura Ice Cream

Using an ice cream scoop or spoon, scoop out balls of ice cream and lay them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate. Place them in your freezer to harden for about 30 minutes.

In the meantime, cut the crusts off the pieces of bread. With a rolling pin, flatten each one as much as you can.

Once the ice cream balls are hard, add one to a slice of bread and wrap it around tightly. If one piece doesn&rsquo;t cover the ball fully, wrap another piece around.

Cover with aluminum foil or cling wrap, and twist it closed until it is tight. Place back in your freezer for a minimum of 1 hour, or overnight.

Mix the flour, corn starch, and cold water in a shallow bowl and add panko crumbs to a separate bowl.

Remove one ball at a time and unwrap it. Dip the ball in the bowl of batter and roll it around until fully coated. Transfer it to the bowl of panko crumbs and roll it until fully coated. Place it back in the freezer while you repeat the same steps for the rest.

Cook the ice cream balls for about 60-70 seconds each, or until the outside layer appears golden. Transfer to a wire cooling rack over a baking sheet to get rid of excess oil. Serve immediately while hot with garnishes of choice. Happy eating!
