4-Ingredient Golden Milk Mix

Tbsp turmeric

tsp ground ginger ((plus more to taste))

tsp ground cinnamon ((plus more to taste))

tsp black pepper ((plus more to taste))

nutmeg

clove

tsp water

To make mix, add all spices (add-ins optional) to a small jar and shake or stir thoroughly to combine. Will keep at room temperature up to 3 months. Or you can store it in the refrigerator if you prefer. Double the recipe if you intend to use it daily (it goes fast!).

To make HOT golden milk, add 1 heaped tsp Golden Milk Mix, 1-2 tsp sweetener of choice (more or less to taste), and 2 tsp water to a small saucepan. Use a spoon to mix into a loose paste (you want as few clumps as possible). Then add dairy-free milk of choice and whisk to combine. Heat over medium heat until just hot/warm (not boiling).&nbsp;

To make ICED* golden milk, add 1 heaped tsp Golden Milk Mix, 1-2 tsp sweetener of choice (more or less to taste), and 2 tsp water to a serving glass. Use a spoon to mix into a loose paste (you want as few clumps as possible). Then add several big ice cubes and top with dairy-free milk of choice. Stir to combine.

5-Minute Golden Milk

light coconut milk

almond milk

To a small saucepan, add coconut milk, almond milk, ground turmeric, ground ginger, cinnamon stick, coconut oil, black pepper, and sweetener of choice (I usually add 1 Tbsp (15 ml) maple syrup // amount as original recipe is written // adjust if altering batch size).

Whisk to combine and warm over medium heat. Heat until hot to the touch but not boiling - about 4 minutes - whisking frequently.

Turn off heat and taste to adjust flavor. Add more sweetener to taste or more turmeric or ginger for intense spice + flavor.

Serve immediately, dividing between two glasses and leaving the cinnamon stick behind. Best when fresh, though leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat on the stovetop or microwave until hot.

Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Tea Recipe (How To Make Golden Milk)

If using the paste: simply heat your milk on the stove. Remove from the heat and stir in the paste. The measurements don’t have to be exact, but generally, 1/4 teaspoon of golden milk turmeric paste to one cup of milk works perfectly. Add a few grates of fresh ginger root for extra healing properties.

If not using the paste, blend or whisk all ingredients together, then warm through on the stove over medium heat for 15 minutes. Let it very gently simmer for 15 minutes but not boil.

You can blend the ingredients manually by hand or in a high-speed blender for a frothier drink.

I made this last night and I'm now going to make it again after having a nice bath to relax even further. It's lovely! I only had  barister oat milk so Iused that. I blended all the ingredients together, minus the ginger and cardamon as I never had any and I heated it up in the microwave. It was perfect!

Pour the 2 cups of milk into a pan and warm it up.

Love your recipe. I originally printed it but went looking for it again just so I don't have to dig it out. 
I added black pepper just to up the benefits of the turmeric for absorption in order to help boost my immune system, you really don't taste it.  I have also switched out the cinnamon with cardamom sometimes to help with stomach issues  although I know that's what the ginger also does. I get a similar drink at a restaurant near me and tastes almost the exact same as your recipe but they use the cardamom instead.

This comforting Golden Milk can warm you from the inside out on those dreary grey days! Play around with the spices until you find your perfect mix!

½ cups of whole plant-based milk

maple syrup (agave will work)

vanilla extract

⅛ teaspoon of ground ginger

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, heat the plant-based milk, maple syrup (or agave), vanilla extract, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and pinch of black pepper, and whisk regularly for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and serve when it’s hot to drink but not yet boiling.

In a high speed blender, combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth. If needed, add more liquid, a tablespoon at a time, to get the blender going. I like my smoothies on the thicker side but add some milk/ water as needed.

I made this and it was delicious! Added some cinnamon and about 1/2 cup milk to blend in my Vitamix. Thank you for a delicious smoothie idea and another way to use up my frozen mango!

A creamy, coconut milk-based ice cream inspired by Golden Milk! Ground turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, and cardamom bring plenty of rich, warm flavor to this insanely delicious ice cream.

Golden Milk Ice Cream (Vegan)

coconut

The day or night before, place your ice cream churning bowl in the freezer to properly chill (see notes if you don't have an ice cream maker). Also, add coconut milk, fresh ginger, maple syrup, sea salt, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, and cardamom (optional) to a large saucepan and heat over medium heat.

Bring to a simmer (not a boil), whisking to thoroughly combine ingredients. Then, remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Whisk once more to combine.

Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding in more turmeric for intense turmeric flavor, cinnamon for warmth, maple syrup for sweetness, or salt to balance the flavors.

Transfer mixture (including the whole ginger slices) to a mixing bowl and let cool to room temperature. Then cover and chill in refrigerator overnight, or for at least 4-6 hours.

The following day, use a spoon (or strainer) to remove the ginger. At this time, you can also add olive oil for extra creaminess by whisking in thoroughly to combine (optional).

Add to ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions - about 20-30 minutes. It should look like soft serve.

While it's churning, chop up your candied ginger (optional). In the last few minutes of churning, add in the ginger to incorporate.

Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a large freezer-safe container (such as a parchment-lined loaf pan) and use a spoon to smooth the top.

Cover securely and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until firm. Set out for 10 minutes before serving to soften, and use a hot ice cream scoop (warmed in hot water) to ease scooping.

Will keep in the freezer for up to 10 days or more, though best within the first 7 days. Enjoy this as a lighter dessert with some serious health benefits!

Golden Milk - Easy Turmeric Latte (V, GF)

ginger (- sliced, about 1-inch)

vanilla pod (- sliced open)

extra virgin coconut oil

In a small saucepan, add in the water and all the spices, except the turmeric. Bring the water to a boil, then turn down the heat. Simmer, partially covered, for 15 minutes (you want the amount water to reduce to about 1/2 cup). Remove the spices.

Add in the turmeric and coconut oil, and cook, over low heat for about 5 minutes, until a paste forms. If needed, add in more water by the tablespoon.

Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.

Make the turmeric paste

Heat the milk in a small saucepan or microwave, until warmed. Whisk in your desired about of turmeric paste and coconut sugar. Dust with cinnamon on top.

Serve warm.

Make the Golden Milk

Golden Milk Turmeric Macarons

almond meal

powdered sugar

granulated sugar

cream of tartar

¼ tsp orange and yellow gel food coloring (americolor)

Turmeric powder

organic shortening

powder sugar

tsp ginger

vanilla

First things first! Wipe down the mixing bowl and whisk attachment with vinegar to remove any built up residue. This will ensure that the egg whites whisk up properly!

Prep and measure all of the ingredients using a kitchen scale.

Prep a piping bag with a round tip. I use Wilton tip 10.

Line 2 baking sheets with silpat (or parchment).

Combine measured almond meal &amp; powdered sugar together in a bowl. Sift one time to remove any lumps, discarding of them, then mix together to break up clumps.

Make a well in the center of the dry mix and pour the 41 grams of measured egg whites into the center of the dry mixture. Fold together until blended then add gel food coloring and mix well until fully incorporated. The finished mix will be paste-like. Set aside.

To make the sugar syrup, heat granulated sugar and water in a pot on medium heat with a candy thermometer attached to the side. **Be careful to make sure the thermometer is not touching the bottom of the pot**.

Once the thermometer&#8217;s temperature reaches approximately 200 degrees F, place the 45 grams of measured egg whites in the stand mixer and whisk on medium speed, to soft peaks.

Add a drop of lemon juice or dash of cream of tartar to stabilize, THEN continue whisking.

If the egg whites are at soft peaks before the syrup reaches 248 F, turn the mixer down to low speed to keep the egg whites moving.

As soon as the sugar syrup reaches 248 degrees F, remove from heat.

Quickly increase mixer speed to medium and begin slowly pouring the sugar syrup down the side of your mixing bowl into the meringue until thoroughly combined.

THEN increase the mixing speed to high and whisk sugar and meringue together until glossy and stiff peaks form and the meringue has cooled. (The meringue should keep its form.)

Gently transfer finished meringue into the almond/powdered sugar mixture in thirds, making sure that it&#8217;s fully incorporated before adding the additional 3rd of meringue.

Continue to fold the batter in a circular motion, going around the edges of the bowl, then once through the center. Repeat these steps until smooth and thick ribbons of batter run off the spatula.

You want the batter to be slightly thick, but not so thin that it does not hold the ribbon shape. Err on the side of caution.

Transfer batter to the prepped piping bag(s).

Pipe 1 1/2 inch rounds about one inch apart on the lined baking sheet.

Be sure to hold the piping bag about 1/2 inch directly above the baking sheet when piping the rounds. Continue to pipe until you&#8217;ve filled an entire baking sheet.

*Tap the macarons on the counter three times to release air bubbles.

*Pop any air bubbles that might&#8217;ve come to the surface, using a scribe or even a toothpick.

Lightly dust the resting macaron shells with turmeric powder.

Before placing the macs in the oven, allow them to rest until a proper skin has formed on the outside of the shell. This can take anywhere from 20-30 minutes. Test by touching the piped rounds to make sure they&#8217;re dry to touch and that no batter comes off on fingers.

You can easily pipe heart shaped macarons by piping batter down on a slight angle, then dragging it back upwards on the opposite side, keeping an even steady flow of batter while piping.

Once dry to touch, place the macarons in the middle rack of the oven.

Feet will form halfway through the baking process.

Remove from oven and allow 15-20 minutes to cool before attempting to remove the shells from the silpat/parchment paper.

Once macarons are completely cool, gently remove from parchment paper/silpat.

Repeat same steps to bake the remaining macaron batter.

For the macarons

Mix shortening/butter, powdered sugar, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper and vanilla in a stand mixer until incorporated.

Transfer filling to piping bag with tip of choice
