This adult ButterBeer is a butterbeer recipe that has alcohol. This cocktail is a butterscotch schnapps drink version of the Harry Potter-inspired drink. This Harry Potter drink is sweet and yummy, perfect for an adult Halloween Party or Harry Potter themed food.

(Adult) ButterBeer

My version of Weasleys Dragon Roasted Nuts may not gain their heat from a real dragon, they contain a blend of spices that are both fiery and sweet.

Weasleys' Dragon Roasted Nuts

(about 1/2 cup) honey

tsp Kosher salt

tsp cumin

cinnamon

tsp chili powder

tsp red pepper flakes

tsp cayenne pepper

tsp black pepper

tsp ground ginger

cloves

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F (120 C). Line a large baking sheet with a silicone liner or parchment paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, whip the egg white until frothy. Add mixed nuts to egg whites and toss to coat.

Add the honey to your nuts as well as all of the spices and seasonings (If your honey is firm, 10-15 seconds in the microwave should be plenty of time to liquify it). Mix nuts to coat evenly.

Transfer the nut mixture onto the baking sheet and place in the oven. Roast for 45-60 minutes, turning the nuts with a wooden spoon or spatula every 15 minutes to make sure that they toast evenly, until the nuts are lightly browned and glossy.

Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes and then break apart into chunks. Cashews, especially, have an odd, somewhat soft texture when they first come out of the oven. But once cooled, they are perfectly crunchy. This nut mixture can be stored in an airtight container in a cool dry place for around 2 weeks.

Deathly Hallows Cheese Board.

gorgonzola cheese (crumbled)

fig preserves

pistachios (chopped)

salt + pepper (to taste)

poppy seeds (for coating the hat)

pomegranate arils (for the rim of the hat)

(8 ounce) jar green martini olives (drained)

thyme + rosemary

red pepper flakes

olive oil (enough

(11 ounce) bag caramel bits

heavy cream

honeycrisp apples

cheddar cheese cracker crumbs

Ritz Crackers

peanut butter

mini pretzel sticks

cheddar cheese

butter (melted)

black lava salt (or poppy seeds, for sprinkling)

cranberries

(8 ounce) wheel brie

pomegranate or cranberry juice

honey

pomegranate

apples

peanut butter (for spreading)

almonds (for the teeth)

cranberries (for the fangs)

sweet potato chips

figs (grapes + pomegranates)

pretzels

prosciutto

Combine the cream cheese, gorgonzola cheese, sage, roasted garlic cloves and salt + pepper in a bowl. Beat together using an electric mixer until combined and whipped. Fold in the fig preserves and pistachios. Divide the mixture in half and shape into balls. Place each ball on a piece of plastic wrap. Fold the wrap around the balls.

Shape one ball into a 6 inch, flat circle and place on a plate. Place the remaining balls in the center of the circle. Shape the balls into a cone to form the top of the witch's hat. I found that using plastic wrap while shaping each piece was very helpful.

Place the plate in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.

After 2 hours, remove the plastic wrap and position the cheese cone in the center of the circle. Cover the entire hat in poppy seeds. I recommend doing this on a clean counter so you can save any poppy seeds that fall. Line the rim of the hat with pomegranate arils. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.

The Witch's Cheese Hat

Place the mozzarella balls and the olive in a large glass jar, layering the cheese + olives with the fresh herbs, salt and pepper as you go. Pour the olive oil over top to cover. Allow the cheese to marinate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days. Serve with forks and crackers.

Marinated Mozzarella Eyeballs

Stick twigs into the top of each apple and add the cheddar cracker crumbs to a shallow bowl.

Prepare the caramel as directed on the bag of caramel bits. Dip each apple in caramel and allow any excess to drip off. Working quickly, roll each apple in the cheese cheese crackers and then place on a serving plate. Repeat with the remaining apples. Let the apples sit 30 minutes before serving or store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Cheddar Cheese Caramel Apples

Spread the peanut butter on the bottom side of the Ritz Crackers. Break the pretzels in half and and place 3 pretzel pieces on either side of the cracker, sicking the pretzels into the peanut butter to adhere. Place a piece of cheddar on top and then spread the remaining bottoms of the Ritz Crackers with just a little peanut butter and place peanut butter side down onto the cheese. You should now have a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining crackers.

Brush the tops of each sandwich with melted butter and then sprinkle with black lava salt (or poppy seeds OR black sesame seeds). Place a little peanut butter on each of the cranberries and stick two cranberries on the crackers to look like eyes. Place on a serving plate. Cover and store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Peanut Butter + Cheddar Black Spiders

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Place the wheel of brie on a piece of parchment paper and place in a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is warm and gooey.

Meanwhile, combine the pomegranate juice and honey in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil, boil until thickened and syrupy, 8-10 minutes. If the sauce gets too thick, just add more juice to thin.

Carefully slide the brie off the parchment paper and onto a serving plate. Drizzle the pomegranate glaze over top and then top with pomegranate arils. Enjoy warm.

Bloody Pomegranate Baked Brie

Slice the apples so you have triangular wedges. Now cut a smaller triangular wedge out of those wedges (see photos for example). Spread the inside of the apple with peanut butter. Stick two cranberries on the outer edge of the mouth for the fang and then stick 4 slivered almonds (break them into smaller pieces if needed) in between the fangs for teeth. Serve within a few hours of making as the apples can get a little discolored. NOTE: I wrapped my apples in plastic wrap overnight and the color was still fine the next day.

Vampire Teeth Apples

Place the witch's hat, caramel apples, cheese eyes, black spiders, bloody brie and vampire teeth all on a table or very large cutting/cheese board. Add the sweet potatoes rounds, figs, grapes, pomegranates, pretzels/crackers and prosciutto as desired. BOOOO!

The Tastiest Butterscotch Moonshine Recipe

water

brandy

tsp Butterscotch extract

Place your pot on your heat source. Add the sugar and the water into the pot.

Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Keep a close eye on your pot so the sugar does not burn.

Once the sugar is completely dissolved, remove the pot from heat and allow it to cool completely.

These steps have made a ‘simple syrup’.

Once your simple syrup has cooled completely, you can add food coloring to give it its rich brown coloring if you used regular sugar. If you used raw sugar, your syrup will already be a nice brown hue.

Once your syrup has cooled completely you are ready to assemble the rest of the ingredients.

Fill a clean mason jar with your moonshine.

Add your simple syrup.

Add ½ cup of brandy

Add 1 tsp butterscotch extract.

Once all the ingredients have been added to the jar, place the lid on securely and shake for about 30 seconds. Allow the moonshine to sit for about 48 hours and you are ready to enjoy!

Pour chilled butter beer into large mugs or glasses.  Make sure the cream soda is nice and chilled before making the butter beer!

Add 1 tablespoon of butterscotch syrup into each glass.

Add 1 teaspoon of butter extract into each glass.  Feel free to use more if you like a lot of butter flavor!

Whisk together the ingredients in the glasses until fully mixed.

Top with whipped cream, and drizzle more butterscotch on top if desired!

Whipped cream

Pour one can of cream soda into ice cube trays and freeze at least 4 hours

Once the cream soda is frozen, measure 2 cups of cream soda ice cubes and place in blender

Add in ice cream, imitation butter extract, rum extract, 1 cup of cream soda, butterscotch topping, salt and blend until smooth

Pour into your favorite frosted mug

Add whipped cream and drizzle with butterscotch topping
