Pasta for one, in just ten minutes time! This "recipe" requires NO MEASURING, just 5 ingredients, and can easily be scaled to make more servings.

Pasta for One in 10 Minutes

Once the water is boiling, grab a handful of long noodles about the diameter of a quarter (about 1-inch) and add it to the pot. Cook the pasta until it is flexible, but not all the way to al dente.

Recipe video above. This is a great emergency meal OR carb + veg side for all those times when your cupboards are bare except for broccoli, pasta, and some kind of cheese. It&#39;s saucy without using tons of oil, and there&#39;s loads of sub options. Quick and utterly scrumptious - loaded with tons of broccoli!

Really Quick Broccoli Pasta

/ 12 oz dried short pasta ((I used small shells))

broccoli

shredded cheese (or more!)

lemon juice ((or more!))

parmesan (, finely grated)

garlic (, minced)

tsp mixed dried herbs ((or fresh!))

tsp+ red pepper flakes ((add more if you want spicy!))

salt

tsp pepper

Cook pasta: Boil a large pot of water with 2 tsp salt, add pasta.

Chop broccoli: Chop broccoli into small florets.

Cook broccoli: Add broccoli into water 1 - 2 minutes before pasta is cooked.

Sauce ingredients in jar: Place Sauce ingredients in a jar with lid.

Reserve pasta water: SCOOP OUT 1 cup pasta cooking water just before draining. Then drain and return pasta back into same pot on turned off stove.

Add pasta water into Sauce: Add 1/2 cup pasta water to Pasta Sauce jar, shake well.

Add Sauce &amp; Cheese to pasta: Pour Sauce and add cheese into pot with pasta.

Stir then serve! Stir vigorously, adding more pasta water if required. Add more salt and pepper if required. Serve immediately, garnished with parmesan.

While pasta is cooking:

Bring out the flavour of pork with fennel seeds and serve in a creamy mustard pasta sauce

Sausage, fennel & rocket fusilli

fusilli

pork sausages (pork & red onion work well)

red chilli

fennel seeds

tbsp double cream

tsp wholegrain mustard

bag rocket leaves

Cook the pasta following pack instructions. Meanwhile, squeeze the meat out of the sausage skins. Heat a frying pan over a high heat and brown the sausagemeat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon while it cooks. Once browned, push to the side of the pan.

Add the garlic, chilli and fennel seeds to the empty part of the pan and cook for 45 secs until fragrant. Stir in the sausagemeat, season and add the cream, mustard and Parmesan. Keep on a low heat until the pasta is cooked.

Drain the pasta, reserving a few tbsps of the water, then tip it back into the pan. Add the sausage sauce and mix, adding some of the pasta water if it needs it. Add the rocket, turn off the heat and spoon into bowls. Serve with extra Parmesan.

Add a few extras to a ready-made tomato sauce for a wonderfully quick and substantial pasta dish!

Three ingredients, three steps to a speedy midweek supper of trendy cacio e pepe (‘cheese and pepper’). Tangy pecorino cheese combines with the pasta cooking water to make a creamy sauce that clings to the pasta.

Indulge in this Garlic Mushroom Lemon Pasta that&#039;s flavorful, tangy, garlicky, with the perfect hint of spice. An easy pasta dish that takes only 25 minutes and is a great addition to your weeknight meal roster.

Garlic Mushroom Lemon Pasta

button mushrooms (sliced)

garlic (sliced)

Add butter to a pan over medium heat and let it melt. Add mushroom and lightly season with salt and pepper. Sauté and let it cook until it browns (3-4 minutes) and remove from the pan.

Boil pasta according to package instructions.

In the same pan that you cook the mushroom, turn heat down to medium low and add garlic and chili flakes. Let it cook and stir occasionally for at least 10 minutes until before it turns golden brown.

Turn the heat down to low and add pasta water, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt and sugar. Stir and bring to a simmer.

Add pasta and mushrooms. Mix until well combined. Serve with a parsley and parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
