Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

Slice the bell peppers and onions.

Place the sliced vegetables onto a baking sheet and toss with the oil and seasonings.

Bake in a single layer for 20 minutes.

How to Roast Poblano Peppers in the Oven

Preheat oven to 425°F. Rub all sides of the poblano pepper generously with oil and place on a baking sheet.

Roast for 6-8 minutes on each of the three sides by carefully turning pepper over with tongs, until the skin is charred and blistered evenly around. Continue roasting for extra time as needed until all sides are well charred/blistered, as this will help the skin come off easier in the next step.

Place roasted poblano pepper in a heat-proof bowl and cover the top with a dish towel or plastic wrap. Let the pepper sit for 10-15 minutes, at which point the pepper will be deflated and the skin will appear shriveled and easily slide off.

Once the skin is removed, slice off the very top of the pepper to remove the stem. Scoop out and discard the seeds. Slice and use the roasted and peeled poblano peppers in your favorite recipes.

I've made this recipe  , no need to brown or char on a grill, you'll lose some of the tasty fat flavor. Only thing I do different is sometimes I add potatoes cut same size as sausages and add 20 minutes or so to cook time and turn cooking pan every 20 minutes. Good luck

This is a perfect way to simplify making sausage with peppers and onions. Normally I would boil the sausage to cook through, then saute in a pan to brown. I also would saute the peppers and onions separately, then add to the sausages at the end. Everything can go into the oven and presto! You are done!  So easy and my family LOVED it. Thank you!

I too substituted with Balsamic vinegar for a little more flavor.  I reduced the red pepper flakes by 1/2.  This is easy and really fine tasting.

I loved this recipe. I used Turkey sausage, sweet and felt the sausage nor the pepper overpowered the other. The basil at the end gave it an amazing flavor. Since I have basil in my garden I used a little more than the recipe called for and I also put about 1/4 cup of red wine.

This is a delicious recipe and it is so quick and easy to prepare. I loved it. I used balsamic vinegar as that is what I had. It is so awesome that the sausage browns in the oven. Kudos!

Excellent! I used malt vinegar instead of red wine, cayenne pepper for the crushed red pepper and hot Italian sausage. Do not forget to add fresh basil before serving it really enhances the flavours.

This recipe was really good in my first attempt. I used spicy Italian sausage and the red pepper and there was a fabulous kick. I found it a bit oily so next time I will adjust the amount of olive oil and probably add some grainy mustard to the mixture. This will definitely be made over and over again

I did not care for this version of sausage and peppers. Vinegar made it seem like a dressing coating the veggies and 1tsp of red pepper overwhelmed the dish. I also didn’t like how the sausage came out, rubbery and dry. I wanted to like this version, as it is much easier than sautéing everything, but it just didn’t pan out. I also noted the recipe didn’t detail how/when to use salt and pepper listed in the ingredients.

Football-Shaped Stuffed Breadsticks

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened, divided

KRAFT Classic Ranch Dressing

pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained

KRAFT Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese

(11 oz.) refrigerated thin crust pizza dough

Reserve 4 oz. cream cheese for later use. Mix remaining cream cheese with dressing and garlic powder in medium bowl until blended. Add spinach, peppers, shredded cheese and bacon; mix well.

Unroll pizza dough onto lightly floured cutting board; press into 16x14-inch rectangle. Spread cream cheese mixture into 14x8-inch oval shape on center of dough. Fold dough over cream cheese mixture to completely enclose cream cheese mixture. Press edges of dough together to seal.

Cover dough with large sheet of parchment, then baking sheet; flip over. Gently press top of dough to even out surface of football. Starting about 2 inches from both ends of football, make 2-inch-long cuts, 1 inch apart, along both long sides of dough. Gently twist dough strips. Beat egg and water until blended; brush onto dough.

Easy Oven Roasted Peppers

Slice peppers and onion into thin (about 1/4 inch) strips and place in a medium bowl.

Add olive oil and salt and pepper and use your hands to mix, being sure each piece of the veggies are thoroughly coated.

I made these peppers this evening and they were perfect. I cannot understand how Christine's were burnt. I can only assume that her cooker may be faulty or she is using the grill instead of the oven.

This arroz verde recipe is the most vibrant and flavorful green rice made with roasted poblano peppers, jalapenos and fresh cilantro. Easy to make and the perfect side dish!

Arroz Verde Recipe (Mexican Green Rice)

Set your oven to broil. Slice the poblano peppers in half lengthwise and place them on a lightly oiled baking sheet, skin sides up.

Broil

Broil the poblanos about 15 minutes, until the skins char and blacken. They should puff up.

Peel

Remove, cool slightly, then peel off the skins and discard them along with the seeds and stems.

Chop

Rough chop the poblanos and set them aside.

Roast the Poblano Peppers.

Puree

Add the roasted poblanos, jalapeno, onion, garlic, cilantro, chicken stock and salt to taste to a food processor. Process until smooth. Set Aside.

Make the Puree.

Rinse Rice

While the poblanos are roasting, rinse and drain the rice 3 times, or until the water runs clear.

Toast

Heat the oil in a large pan or pot to medium heat. Add the rice and cook, stirring, until it begins to brown, about 5 minutes.

Simmer

Pour in the reserved green puree. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Cover and simmer on low for 25 minutes, or until the rice absorbs all of the liquid, fluffing the rice a bit with a wooden spoon a few minutes before it is done.

Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat. Fluff up the rice with a fork, then garnish and serve. Great with fresh squeezed lime.

Fire Roasted Red Bell Peppers (Pimento) Recipe

Prep. There are two ways to prep the pepper: 1) Slice the peppers in half or quarters lengthwise, strip out the seeds, ribs, and stems, and rinse them. There is less waste with this method, but the pepper has a natural curve and won&#039;t lay flat. 2) Lop off the stem end and a bit off the other end, cut through on one side top to bottom, and then run your knife along the inside wall to remove the seeds and ribs. With this method you get a long strip of pepper that can lay flat.

Char. Place the pepper, skin side down, on a hot grill or over a gas stovetop burner, a little less than Warp 10, or place them skin side up on a pan under a broiler. Keep the heat on until the skin blisters and blackens, about 10 minutes, depending on your grill. For thick walled peppers you can flip them over for a few minutes until they are cooked through and limp, but don&#039;t burn the meaty side.

Steam. After charring, a lot of recipes say to seal them in a paper bag so steam can loosen the skin, but those bags are often dirty and who knows what is in the glue, so I just place them in a bowl and cover it with a plate.

After about 15 minutes, when they cool enough to handle, strip off as much of the skin as possible with your fingers, or lay them skin up and gently scrape off the skin with a knife. Discard the skin. Don&#039;t worry if a few bits of skin remain.

Use or freeze. You can use them immediately or freeze them for months. Just put them in a zipper bag, drizzle in a little olive oil, squeeze out as much of the air as possible, zip it tight, squish them around so they are more or less coated in oil, write the date on the bag, and in the freezer they go.

Optional. Smoke 'em. Instead of grilling the peppers, put them in your smoker until they are soft and pliable and you can strip off the skins. If they don't come off easily, toss them on the hot grill until they are charred.

Preheat a grill or a gas stovetop burner on high.

If using a grill, toss the bell peppers on the grill rack, directly over the heat, and cook, turning frequently with tongs, until blistered and blackened on all sides. If using a gas stovetop burner, roast a single bell pepper at a time by grasping it with tongs and holding it over the flames of a gas burner turned on high, turning occasionally, until blistered and blackened on all sides. If using a broiler, adjust the oven rack so the bell peppers are a few inches from the heating element and cook, turning frequently with tongs, until blistered and blackened on all sides.

Steam

Toss the charred bell peppers in a brown paper grocery bag and tightly close the bag by rolling the top over several times or dump the charred bell peppers in a bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let the bell peppers steam for about 10 minutes.
