This recipe for Whole30 steak bites is packed with tons of flavor and huge pops of vitamins thanks to colorful sweet potatoes and bell peppers. It's an easy, approachable weeknight dinner recipe that's ready in under 45 minutes.

Whole30 Steak Bites with Sweet Potatoes and Peppers

potato

lb flat iron steak

green onions (thinly sliced)

tbsp coconut aminos

tsp black pepper

tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

Place the diced sweet potatoes into a microwave safe bowl, then sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt. Cover with a plate and microwave on high until just barely tender, 4-6 minutes. Stir once halfway through. The potatoes are ready when you can piece one with the tip of a knife and meet just a bit of resistance. Take care not to overcook at this stage or they'll turn out mushy later.

Heat a 12” skillet over high heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and heat until shimmering. Add the steak in a single layer. Cook, turning every two minutes, until the pieces are browned and the center is medium, about 10 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet using a slotted spoon and set aside onto a plate.&nbsp;

Add the third tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Add the sweet potatoes, toss to coat in the fat and cook until browned, stirring occasionally, until browned, 3-4 minutes.

Make a well in the center of the pan and add the garlic. Sautee, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the bell pepper and scallions and toss with the potatoes. Sautee, stirring occasionally, until the peppers are bite tender, 3-4 minutes.&nbsp;

Add the steak and juices back to the pan along with the coconut aminos. Toss all ingredients and cook an additional 1- 2 minutes until the liquid has evaporated.

Add the pepper and cilantro, toss, and remove from heat. Portion onto plates, top with additional fresh cilantro if desired, and serve immediately.

These seared Garlic Butter Steak Bites pack so much flavor and are so easy to throw together! The best part? They're ready in 15 minutes!

Garlic Butter Steak Bites

tbsp parsley (fresh, chopped)

Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat. Make sure the olive oil is hot, then add the steak pieces to it. Season them generously with salt and pepper.&nbsp;

Cook for at least 2 minutes before stirring the steak pieces. You want to make sure you get a good sear on them. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes until they're golden brown. If your skillet isn't big enough, you may need to do this batches.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Transfer the steak bites to a plate and in the same skillet add the butter. Turn the heat down to a medium and after the butter has melted, add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 30 seconds while stirring, just until the garlic becomes aromatic and starts to brown.

Pour the garlic butter over the steak bites and toss well. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Easy Air Fryer Steak Bites

Sirloin Steak Bites

Steak seasoning or salt and pepper

Olive oil

Start by preheating your air fryer to 390° or 400°.

Place the steak bites in a bowl and add about a tablespoon of steak seasoning or season with salt and pepper.

Pour in a tablespoon of olive oil and toss to coat all of the steak bites.

Place the steak bites in a single layer in your air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes.

Turn the steak bites over and cook for an additional 4 minutes for medium steak. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes for medium well and a couple minutes less for medium rare.

Remove from the air fryer and allow them to rest for 5-10 minutes so the meat will retain its juices.

Enjoy in a salad or with your favorite veggies for lunch or dinner!

Try them tossed in Sesame Seeds either before or after frying for an added nutty tang.  They are particularly tasty done like this with a salad.  I too am a confirmed Air Fryer devotee - and I have 2 as well - a 10L and a 4L and they get used daily by and for my family.

Steak Bites with Garlic Butter

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the steak in the pan in a single layer; you may have to work in batches depending on the size of your pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Repeat with remaining meat if needed.

Add the butter and garlic to the pan; cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat the meat in the sauce.

Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Cooking times will vary depending on the size you cut the steak bites, how you like your steak cooked, and how hot your skillet is.
For the types of steak, use your favorite. Depending on the budget, we prefer ribeye, sirloin, tri-tip, and chuck shoulder steaks (aka London Broil steaks)

Pat dry the steak cubes.

Melt the 2 Tablespoons of butter a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear all sides on high heat until a crust forms around the steak cubes, usually about 3-5 minutes depending on size of the steak &amp; how hot the skillet is.

Add the garlic, optional Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Continue to cook steak bites to your preferred doneness, usually another minute or two. Add some chopped parsley, optional chili flakes, and more salt and/or pepper if desired. Optional - finish with a tablespoon or so more of butter melted on top of the steak bites. Serve hot.

Skillet Garlic Butter Steak Bites - So Easy & Delicious!

Tender pan seared Cajun Butter Steak Bites are full flavoured with crispy edges. Seared in Cajun seasoning and garlic butter, ready in under 10 minutes. No marinating!

Cajun Butter Steak Bites

mild paprika

garlic powder

onion powder

chili powder, (add more if you like heat)

cayenne pepper, (add more if you like heat)

black pepper (to taste)

23 oz (650 g) steak,

canola oil, (divided)

garlic (finely chopped)

Combine cajun seasoning in a shallow bowl. Add the steak bites and toss to evenly coat.

Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat until hot.

Sear the steak bites in batches for 2-3 minutes each side until edges are crispy and browned, adding extra oil as needed. Set aside.

Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and heat until melted. Sauté the chopped garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), while scraping up any browned bits from the pan.

Take the pan off the heat. Throw the steak bites back in and toss through the garlic butter to evenly coat.

Serve warm.

Soy Ginger Steak Bites

½ pounds steak (sirloin, strip loin, or ribeye)

vegetable oil

brown sugar

soy sauce

ginger (fresh, minced)

lemon juice

Combine marinade ingredients. Cut steak into bite sized pieces and add to marinade.

Refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 2 hours. Remove from marinade allowing excess to drip off. (Discard remaining marinade).

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.

Add steak in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a crust on one side. Stir and cook 1 minute more. Do not overcook.

Remove from heat, toss with butter. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.  Serve immediately

Combine cajun seasoning ingredients and toss chicken in the seasoning. Drizzle with 1/2 tablespoon of oil and rub seasoning all over to evenly coat. 

Heat remaining oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat until combined and hot.

Sear chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes each side until golden or internal temperature is 165°F / 75°C using a meat thermometer. Remove from pan; set aside to rest for 5 minutes.

While chicken is resting, make the sauce. Reduce heat to medium. Melt remaining butter in the pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), while scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Pour in the broth and let reduce for 2-3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Make the sauce. Add the lime juice, chipotle paste, garlic powder, cumin, cinnamon, and salt and pepper to a small bowl or jar and mix well to combine. Set aside.

Salt and pepper your steak. Heat a large cast-iron skillet (it needs to be large) over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and let it get hot. Add steak in a single layer and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned on the outside, flipping as needed. If needed, you may need to cook in 2 batches. Remove from the pan, leaving the juices behind.

Add 1 tablespoon oil (you may need more depending on how well seasoned your pan is). Add sweet potatoes and onions and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, cover with a lid to help speed up the process, but you don’t want them to steam too much. Add peppers and mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add steak and juices and mix well to combine. Add chipotle sauce and mix well until combined and warmed through. Top with optional toppings and enjoy!
