A delicious recipe for Creamy Vegan Ranch Dressing that can be made without oil!  Low calorie &amp; made with silken tofu. Dairy-free, Nut-free, Gluten-Free and ZERO Cholesterol! Perfect for salads, wraps, bowls or as a veggie dip!

Creamy Vegan Ranch Dressing 

silken tofu

water

olive oil

garlic

onion powder (or a couple slices white onion)

salt

apple cider or sherry vinegar

nutritional yeast (optional)

peppercorns (or stir these in at the end)

Place ingredients in a blender and add a little water or olive oil to get the blender going. Scrape down sides as necessary.

Taste. For extra richness or creaminess, add more olive oil.  Add any extras that you like- see notes.

Store in a jar in the fridge for 7-10 days.

This recipe is surprisingly good.  There is no tofu taste, and since I love garlic I put four cloves in.  I also used dried chives rather than parsley or oregano.  Thank you!!  I used NO oil and the extra two tablespoons of water.  I also cut the salt in half.  Thank you!!!

Just made this! Added 1/4c almond meal for texture, 2T fresh dill, a dash of basil and oregano, and extra pepper. So good!

Wow, I made this without oil and it is awesome!  I'm new to plant based and when I tasted this I thought, "Wow - I might actually be able to do this."

This is delicious! Will definitely be a staple in our home. I’m wondering about the nutrition info. Yours says it’s 2T and 8 servings, but when I made it I got about 16 2 T servings.

Made this with my own ranch seasoning but the tofu-water-oil-vinegar ratio gave it the perfect consistency and tang, and I happy to report it froze wonderfully, just a quick stir when thawed! This will be my go-to for tofu when it’s got to be used or go bad.

5 Minute Vegan Ranch Dressing! This is the Best Vegan Ranch Dressing and so easy to make at home, with vegan mayonnaise and a few ingredients you have a delicious vegan salad dressing or dip, and it's ready in 5 minutes! It's creamy, tangy, dairy free and egg free!

5 Minute Vegan Ranch Dressing (or dip)

mayonnaise (I use Vegenaise)

dill dill

onion powder

1/4-1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt salt

pepper

dill pickle juice

apple cider vinegar

Add all ingredients to a small bowl ( I usually use a soup bowl) and whisk until combined.

Serve right away or let the dressing chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, so the flavours develop even more.

Enjoy as a dip with veggies, potato chips, pizza or French fries ( my favourite?). It is also delicious as a salad dressing, and sandwich spread too!

WOW!  This was awesome.  Added some nutritional yeast flakes, smoked ground chipotle and smoked paprika (for a little extra "pep").  DELICIOUS and quick vegan dip/salad dressing (which non-vegans, as well, can enjoy).  Thank you so much!

I've used this as a base lots of times. Sometimes I use banana brine instead of pickles juice. But normally bread n butter pickle juice and I add 1 tsp golden agave.

So good! Quick, easy and toddler/child approved! I didn’t have pickles around but I used pickled carrot brine instead and it was fabulous!

I added 3 tbsp vegan sour cream because I had to use a heavier oil-based mayo. Came out amazing!! The pickle juice and cider are genius!

In a high-speed blender, place the cashews, water, cucumber, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and dill and blend until completely smooth and creamy.

Season to taste with more salt, if desired. Sprinkle with fresh chives and serve.

This bright, fresh ranch dressing gets plenty of flavor from fresh cilantro and plenty of lime. Add a bit of kick with some jalapeño, or see the notes for more ideas for playing with the flavor! 

Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing (Paleo &amp; Vegan Friendly)

mayonnaise

cilantro

jalapeño (or more, to taste)

lime

salt (or less, if you prefer)

tsp pepper

tsp dried dill (or 1/2 Tbsp fresh)

Tbsp lime juice

Tbsp milk

Place all ingredients in a blender, food processor, or a tall cup for an immersion blender.

Taste and add additional salt, pepper, cilantro, jalapeño, or lime juice as desired.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

almond milk ((or sub water))

Soak cashews in very hot water for 30 minutes -1 hour (or overnight in cool water).&nbsp;While cashews are soaking, measure out almond milk and add lemon juice and set aside to curdle (this makes your vegan “buttermilk”).&nbsp;

Drain and rinse cashews several times and drain again. Then transfer to a small blender (a blender is preferred over a food processor for achieving a smooth texture) and add almond buttermilk, garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, vinegar, and maple syrup. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until very creamy and smooth. 

Add herbs and pulse several times to incorporate (you don’t want it fully puréed).&nbsp;

Taste and adjust flavor, as needed, adding more salt for saltiness, maple syrup for sweetness, lemon juice or vinegar for acidity, garlic for garlic flavor, or herbs for a more herbal flavor.

Use immediately at room temperature or refrigerate for 3-4 hours to chill. It will thicken in the refrigerator, so you can add more almond milk or water later on to thin if needed.&nbsp;

Enjoy with vegetables, salads, cauliflower wings, or pizza! Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 7-10 days. Not freezer friendly (will likely separate upon thawing).

14-oz package silken tofu (396 g)

Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (30 mL)

Tbsp apple cider vinegar (30 mL)

tsp each dried parsley, dried dill, dried chives, garlic powder, onion powder

mustard powder

Blend: Add tofu, oil, and apple cider vinegar to a blender and blitz until smooth and creamy.

Stir: Pour blended tofu into a medium mixing bowl then stir in all remaining ingredients.

Serve: Best if served chilled.

Place ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend on high until smooth dressing forms.

This Vegan Ranch Dressing tastes exactly like classic ranch and is far better than any store-bought alternative. It&#39;s creamy with layers of tangy, herby, and garlicky flavors, and takes just 5 to 10 minutes to whip up.

unsweetened plant-based milk (of choice)

apple cider vinegar*

(112 grams) vegan mayo**

lemon juice, (more as needed)

garlic cloves, (crushed with a press or grated)

Dijon mustard

chives ((or scallions))

Combine the milk and vinegar in a medium bowl, and set aside for a few minutes so it can curdle a bit (like  buttermilk).

To the bowl, add the mayo, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, onion powder, nutritional yeast, salt, several cracks of pepper, scallions, and dill. Whisk the dressing until well combined and relatively smooth.

Taste for seasonings, adding more salt or pepper as desired, or more lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for acidity. I sometimes add an extra teaspoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt.

If the dressing is too sharp for your taste, add a tablespoon of unsweetened vegan yogurt and stir to combine.

Chill the dressing (my preference), or serve now. Store leftovers in an airtight jar for a week, or longer.

Tofu Scramble Tacos

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion &amp; soyrizo and crumble it with a wooden spoon. Pour in the beans, green chiles &amp; taco seasoning. Mix until combined. Pout in 1/4 cup of water and lower heat. Simmer until ready to serve, adding more water if it dries out.

In a separate skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the tofu and crumble. Pour in the onion &amp; dry seasonings and mix to combine. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the tofu is heated through and the onion is tender. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Meanwhile, mix the ranch ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Heat the tortillas over an open flame (or in a skillet). To assemble, layer each tortilla with beans/soyrizo, tofu scramble, avocado, ranch, cilantro and red pepper flakes.

Tofu Scramble Tacos | This Savory Vegan

These Oyster Mushroom BBQ Tacos are vegan taco goals! Shredded mushrooms are tossed in BBQ sauce &amp; topped with vegan slaw &amp; avocado!

Oyster Mushroom BBQ Tacos

oyster mushrooms

red bell pepper (sliced)

smoked paprika

avocado oil (or sub olive oil)

BBQ sauce

vegan mayo

cabbage

avocados (diced)

onions

lime wedges (for serving)

Shred the mushrooms with your hands and place in a bowl with the onion, bell pepper and all of the dry seasonings. Toss to coat.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the veggies and allow to sit undisturbed for 3-5 minutes, or until the bottom layer starts to brown and the mushrooms have released their moisture. Toss and cook for another 3-5 minutes. Pour in the BBQ sauce and simmer on low for a couple more minutes. Be sure to keep the heat low so the sauce doesn&#39;t burn.

While the veggies are cooking, combine all of the slaw ingredients (except for the cabbage &amp; cilantro) in a bowl to make vegan ranch. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add the cabbage &amp; cilantro to a large bowl and toss with 3/4 of the sauce. Set aside.

Heat the tortillas over an open flame or in a skillet. To assemble, layer each tortilla with mushrooms, slaw, avocado, pickled onions and cilantro. Serve the leftover ranch and lime wedges on the side.

Oyster Mushroom BBQ Tacos | This Savory Vegan

This Buffalo Chickpea Pasta Salad is the ultimate vegan salad! Made with crispy buffalo chickpeas, dairy-free green chile ranch, pasta &amp; veggies!

Buffalo Chickpea Pasta Salad

short pasta (I used cavatappi)

bell pepper (diced)

grape tomatoes (halved)

avocados (chopped)

green onions (diced, for topping)

avocado oil

chickpeas (drained & rinsed)

buffalo sauce (I used Frank's Red Hot)

garlic (peeled)

apple cider vinegar (to taste)

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a skillet. Add the chickpeas &amp; dry seasonings and cook for 3 minutes, or until the chickpeas start to get crispy. Pour in the buffalo sauce and cook for another couple minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Add all of the ranch ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. Set aside.

To assemble, add the pasta, veggies, chickpeas and ranch to a large bowl. Toss to combine. Top with the green onions and serve.
