Step 1

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar, sugar and garlic powder.

Step 2

Add in the softened butter and stir with a fork until it is flaky.

Step 3

Stir in the shredded cheese and the milk, until it forms into a dough.

Step 4

Scoop or spoon a small amount of the dough into the basket, lined with parchment paper with holes in it, or a lightly sprayed with olive oil.

Step 5

Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit if using a smaller basket for 5 minutes. If cooking more biscuits at a time in a larger basket, cook for 8 min.

Step 6

Melt together the butter with garlic, garlic powder and parsley, and brush on the tops of the cooked biscuits. Serve warm.
