Step 1

Soak the dates in a bowl of hot water for 15 minutes and then drain them. In another bowl, mix chia seeds with the given water and let them soak for 10 minutes.

Blitz the dates, black beans, oat milk, and vanilla extract in a blender until creamy.

Step 3

Combine the bean dough with chia seeds, peanut butter, cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Then, stir in melted chocolate and hemp seeds.

Step 4

Transfer the brownie dough into a 20 cm (8 inches) square baking tin lined with parchment paper.

Step 5

Bake the slab for 35 minutes at 200°C (390°F) and let it cool down completely before cutting it into squares.
