Ensure you have all your ingredients ready: chicken thighs, garlic cloves, butter, salt, black pepper, and fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels, then generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt a knob of butter. Once sizzling, place the chicken thighs skin-side down into the pan.
