Easy Buffalo Cauliflower is baked - not fried - and delivers all of the flavor of fried buffalo chicken wings in a lighter, but equally tasty appetizer or main dish!

Easy Buffalo Cauliflower

cauliflower,

salt

garlic powder

onion powder

smoked paprika

black pepper

milk

buffalo wing sauce

butter

honey

ranch or blue cheese dressing

Preheat oven to 450 degrees and grease a baking sheet.

Stir together salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Stir in milk.

Dip cauliflower in the milk mixture, turning to coat completely, shake off excess and arrange in a single layer on prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes, use a fork to turn over cauliflower pieces, and bake another 10 minutes.

While cauliflower is baking, combine buffalo wing sauce, butter, and honey in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cook 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Brush buffalo sauce all over the baked cauliflower, bake another 10 minutes (I like to broil it for the last 2-3 minutes).

Serve fresh with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Cauliflower (Gobi)

Greek Yogurt (or thick yogurt)

Gram flour (Besan)

Ginger Garlic (paste)

Salt

Garam Masala

Cayenne Chili powder

Ground Turmeric (Haldi powder)

Chaat Masala

Fenugreek leaves (Kasoori Methi) ((optional))

Ground Cumin (Jeera powder) ((optional))

Carom seeds (Ajwain) ((optional))

Oil (for brushing)

Cut cauliflower into equal size florets. &nbsp;Wash under running water and pat dry.&nbsp;

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except cauliflower to get a smooth paste like consistency. &nbsp;

Add the cauliflower florets and mix well so they get coated with the marinade.&nbsp;

Add the cauliflower florets to the air fryer basket. Brush with oil and bake at 360°F (or 180℃) for 18 mins.  Shake in between at 10 minutes. &nbsp;You might have to use a fork. (Note: Check after 16 minutes and adjust cooking time as needed)

When done, remove to a serving bowl and sprinkle juice of a lemon. &nbsp;

Korean Baked Cauliflower

-sized cauliflower,

all purpose flour

potato starch (substitute: corn starch)

almonds

breadcrumbs

white sesame seeds, to finish

non-dairy milk, I used almond milk

lemon juice

cayenne pepper

white pepper

ginger powder

fine sea salt

sesame oil

ginger, grated

garlic, finely minced

ketchup

mirin

sriracha

tamari soy sauce (low sodium)

maple syrup

rice wine vinegar

chili paste

gochugaru, or korean chili pepper flakes

Brine the Cauliflower. Place all cauliflower florets in a large bowl. Add all the Vegan Buttermilk ingredients into the bowl (non-dairy milk last) and toss to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 45 minutes to an hour.

Prepare Coatings. In a food processor, blitz the raw almonds until they're crushed but NOT resembling almond meal, around 6-10 pulses. In a bowl, combine almonds with panko breadcrumbs (See notes). In a separate bowl, mix together all purpose flour and potato starch. Set aside.

Make the Sauce. In a non-stick pan, heat sesame oil on medium heat and fry ginger and garlic until aromatic, about 1 minute. Add in all the remaining ingredients, combine well, and bring to a boil. Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency (for me, this usually takes no reduction at all), taste for seasoning and remove off the heat. Set aside.

Bread the Cauliflower. Pre-heat the oven to 420 degrees F (215 C). Once the cauliflower has brined long enough, separate the cauliflower florets from the buttermilk brine. Set up four separate stations: 1) cauliflower florets. 2) buttermilk brine. 3) panko breadcrumbs & almonds. 4) all purpose flour & potato starch. The breading is a double coat, as follows: dip each cauliflower floret into the flour & potato starch mixture, shake off excess, dip into the buttermilk brine again, shake off excess, and then into the panko & almond mixture. Be sure to fully coat the cauliflower! Repeat for all florets, and set them onto a parchment-lined baking tray. Optional: drizzling with ~1 tablespoon of olive oil helps them crisp up.

Bake & Finish. Bake for around 30 minutes, or until lightly golden brown & crispy. When the cauliflower is almost done baking, re-heat the sauce (the sauce should be warm/hot, so the cauliflower won't turn soggy). Toss the baked cauliflower in sauce right after it comes out of the oven. Sprinkle with white sesame seeds. Serve warm.

This recipe is the BEST macaroni and cheese replacement. Despite using 6 tbsp butter which was way too much. I’m making it again this evening for the 2nd time and plan to use about 1/2 the amount of butter. I highly recommend whether you’re on Keto or not.

This is very good and although I love butter this recipe has too much in my opinion.  I used 6 T.  Will definitely use less butter next time.

This dish was delish!  I used almond flour instead of regular (daughter has gluten allergy) and almond milk instead of whole milk. I didn’t blanch the cauliflower but I did have to bake it about 50 minutes to absorb the liquid. It was worth the wait!

Made it keto and delicious.  Substituted flour with almond flour and milk with almond milk.  You could also use cornstarch instead of flour. Shredded my own cheese to cut the carbs from pre-shredded, packaged cheese. If you're craving macaroni and cheese, this is a great lower carb substitute. Measure your ingredients to get the nutritional values if needed. This recipe is versatile, so ignore the negative reviews and make it work for you!

Made this for the family and my hubby who doesn't eat veggies at it! I used cream instead of milk and almond flour. I agree this is barley enough for 4 people, none the less this will be a side for Thanksgiving.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees ( 232 degrees C). Drizzle tablespoon of oil over the metal baking sheet. Bang Bang Cauliflower

flour (can sub gluten-free flour)

almond milk

tsp salt

tsp pepper

panko

sweet chili sauce

tsp sriracha

tsp soy sauce

tsp lime juice

garlic cloves, finely chopped

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

Mix the flour, almond milk, salt and pepper together in a bowl until smooth.

Toss the cauliflower florets into the batter, then dip each piece of cauliflower into a bowl of Panko breadcrumbs, making sure each piece is evenly coated.

Bake for 22-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl. Toss the cauliflower and sauce together.

Yum - just tried this in a smaller portion - using just the 50/50 mix of flour and milk and was quite worried.

However, instead of making a sauce I used Wagamama's fire cracker sauce with a tiny drop of hoisin and some soy and a little MSG.

The flavor is amazing so giving it five stars because I’m thinking I may have had some user error going on. When I tossed the cauliflower in the sauce after it had baked, all the breading fell off so I was left with baked cauliflower and a bunch of tasty breading on the side. So I just ate it with a spoon. 🤣

How to make perfect Roasted Cauliflower that&#39;s crispy outside, tender inside and not soggy. A simple side dish that goes with everything!

Depending upon the size of your pan, coat 1 or 2 rimmed baking sheets with nonstick spray. You need enough pan surface area to hold all of the florets in a single layer without touching. Position a rack in the center of the oven (if using 1 baking sheet) or the upper and lower thirds (if using 2 baking sheets) and preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Cut off the stem end of the cauliflower head so that you have a flat base.

Slice

Stand it up on the base then cut it into four even wedges, slicing from the top of the head down through the stem. Trim away the inner core areas, leaving most of the wedge intact.

Next, starting at one of the flat sides, cut the wedge into ½ inch “steaks” so that you have maximum flat surface area. Some of the florets will fall away. With the knife or your fingers, break up any remaining florets that are stuck together. If any florets are wider than 1 1/2 inches, slice them in half again (the goal is to maximize flat surface area, for the best caramelization).

Toss

Transfer the florets to a baking sheet. Drizzle with the oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper and the paprika and/or Italian seasoning (if using). Toss to evenly coat. Spread the florets into a single layer, dividing them evenly between the two pans if needed. For max caramelization, flip the florets so that the widest, flattest sides are touching the surface of the pan.

Roast

Roast the cauliflower until it is dark and crispy at the ends and caramelized in the center, about 22 to 30 minutes, depending upon your oven&#39;s power and how closely the florets are spaced on the pan. Halfway through the baking time, toss the florets and spread them back into a single layer, rotate the baking sheet(s) 180 degrees F, and (if using 2 pans) switch their positions on the upper and lower racks. Sprinkle with parmesan (if using) and additional salt to taste. Inhale immediately.
