These chipotle bourbon pulled pork sliders are perfect for summer parties or a weeknight dinner!

Chipotle Bourbon Barbecue Pulled Pork Sliders

bourbon ((I used Knob Creek))

extra virgin olive oil

yellow onion, (chopped)

garlic, (minced)

red wine vinegar

(14.5 ounce) can whole tomatoes,

chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

ketchup

Worcestershire sauce

dijon mustard

honey

molasses

Sriracha hot sauce

brown sugar

pork shoulder, loin, tenderloin

Slider buns

In a small saucepan on medium-high heat, reduce the bourbon to 1/2 cup. Set aside.

Heat up the olive oil in a Dutch oven or large saucepan. Over medium-low heat, sweat the onions and garlic for several minutes until translucent. Add the red wine vinegar and stir, allowing the liquid to reduce until it's almost gone.

Add the pureed tomatoes, chipotle peppers, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, honey, molasses, Sriracha and brown sugar. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 35 minutes.

Puree the sauce in a blender. Return to the Dutch oven and add the reduced bourbon. Stir and cook on medium-high heat for another 5 minutes until the sauce has reduced slightly.

Place the pork in a slow cooker along with 1 cup of the sauce. Cook on the low setting for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Use two forks to shred the pork.

Toss with more of the sauce (the slow cooker sauce will have lost much of its flavor) and serve over warmed slider buns.

Easy Pulled Pork Sliders

In a large mixing bowl, stir together mayo, mustard, apple cider vinegar, onion powder and sea salt. Toss in the coleslaw mix. Stir everything together until the slaw is completely coated in the dressing. I like to make this a couple of hours before serving, so the flavors have time to marinate together.

For coleslaw:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Slice the slider buns in half and remove the top of the buns and set aside.

Place the bottom half of the buns in a 9x13 dish. Layer the pulled pork over the the buns, top with BBQ sauce, if desired, and replace the top of the buns.

In a small microwave safe bowl, add butter, Worcestershire sauce, onion salt and poppy seeds. Microwave for 30-60 seconds, or until completely melted.

Slowly pour the butter mixture over the top of the buns. Alternatively, use a spoon to spoon out melted butter to ensure poppy seeds cover the bun tops. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

If using slaw, once sliders have cooled a few minutes, remove the bun tops, add a spoonful of slaw and replace tops. Enjoy!

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sliders

Mix together onion powder, garlic powder, dried mustard, dried thyme, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl and rub all over the entire pork shoulder to season it.

Place chicken broth in the bottom of a slow cooker and add the seasoned pork shoulder. 

Cover and let cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours until tender and easily shredded.

Remove cooked pork shoulder and place on a cutting board. Shred the pork with kitchen tongs or forks into small pieces. 

Drain the liquid from the slow cooker and add the shredded pork back into it. 

Pour the banana pepper mustard over the shredded pork and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low.

Serve pulled pork on slider buns, topped with pickles.

Instant Pot Pulled Pork Sliders

pork loin roast (or pork shoulder)

lemon juice

soy sauce

marsala wine (or other dry white wine)

tsp kosher salt

Combine the cooking sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly to combine. Set aside.

Place pork in the Instant Pot and pour cooking sauce over. Close lid and venting valve, then press meat setting to start cooking.

When meat is done, release vent valve and open lid. Shred pork using 2 forks, discarding any large pieces of fat. Cover with lid to keep warm.

In a saucepan, place sugar, orange juice, zest, cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, red pepper flakes and ground cloves. Turn heat to medium and cook, stirring often, until thickened. The sauce should be a thick amber to almost clear color at this point. 

Serve sauce over pulled pork on slider buns.

Build the sliders from the bottom up in assembly-line fashion.

Start with the slider bottom, and layer upwards with mayo, bbq sauce, pork, more bbq sauce, coleslaw, pickles, French fried onions, more bbq sauce, and the slider top.

Serve immediately.

Pulled Pork Sliders is an Instant Pot pulled pork recipe for tender, juicy pork butt cooked in root beer! This is a great game day recipe!

Combine salt, chili powder, black pepper, garlic salt, dry mustard, and onion powder in a small bowl.

Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the top, bottom, and sides of the pork roast and rub into the roast.

In the pot of an Instant Pot pressure cooker, heat the oil using the saute setting. Brown the roast on all sides in the oil. (If the roast does not fit into the instant pot, it can be cut into 3-4 larger pieces).

Meanwhile, whisk together 1 cup of BBQ sauce, brown sugar, root beer and pickle juice or vinegar. Pour sauce over the browned roast in the instant pot.

Secure the lid of the instant pot and cook on the manual setting for 60 minutes (additional time required for the pot to pressurize).

Carefully release the pressure from the instant pot and remove the lid.

Lift the roast from the liquid in the pot. Shred the meat of the roast (it should fall apart easily) using two forks. If there are large pieces of fat, discard them.

Remove oil/fat and about half of the liquid from the instant pot. Add the remaining cup of BBQ sauce.

Dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water. Turn the instant pot back on to the saute setting and bring the liquid to a simmer. Whisk the cornstarch mixture into the sauce in the pot and continue cooking and whisking until the sauce thickens.Return the shredded meat to the thickened sauce.

Mound meat onto slider buns. Top with a large scoop of coleslaw and dill pickles.Serve immediately

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a baking sheet with butter (or cover it with parchment paper).

If the pulled pork isn’t warm, transfer it to a microwave-safe dish or saucepan. Add the barbecue sauce to the pork and mix well. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes until warm. (Or on the stove over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.)

Halve the slider buns and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon a generous amount of warm pulled pork onto each. Top that with a spoonful of coleslaw.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the coleslaw. Add any additional toppings of your choice.

Place the top halves of the slider buns over the fillings.

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, and poppy seeds (if using). Brush the butter mixture over the tops of the buns.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. (Or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.)

Remove the sliders from the oven and serve immediately. Serve extra barbecue sauce on the side for those who want more.

Prepare your pork butt or pork shoulder to an internal temperature of 200 °F. Shred it warm and set aside or refrigerate up to three days in advance.

Set your oven to 375° F and prepare a 9×13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Heat olive oil over medium heat and add the half slices of onion. Stirring frequently cook them down until they become soft and translucent, about 10 minutes. Add a tablespoon of worcestershire sauce to deglaze the pan, scraping up all the brown bits on the bottom. Cook for another 5 minutes and remove from the heat. Set aside.

In a small bowl mix together the BBQ sauce and prepared pulled pork. Set aside.

Place the bottom half of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish.

Top the bottom half of the buns with BBQ pulled pork, sauteed onion, Swiss cheese, and top half of the slider buns.

In a small bowl mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, poppy seeds. Evenly brush the top of the sliders with the mixture.

Bake the sliders uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until heated through, the cheese is melted, and tops of the sliders are browned.

Moist and tender pulled pork, topped with barbecue sauce and coleslaw, and sandwiched between soft Hawaiian rolls! Everyone LOVES these EASY juicy sliders that are finger lickin&#x27; good! PERFECT for game days, casual entertaining, backyard barbecues, graduation and Father&#x27;s Day celebrations.

12-count package King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls (halved and separated)

Separate the buns and place them on a large cutting board or serving platter. Baking Tips - If you plan on baking the sliders which is optional, preheat the oven to 350F, line a and spray a 9 x 13&quot; baking dish or metal baking pan with cooking spray. If you&#x27;re using a metal baking pan, I like to line my pan with nonstick foil for easier cleanup. Slice the slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the baking pan.

Evenly divide the 3 cups of pulled pork between the 12 rolls, placing a small mound on the bottom half of the rolls.

Evenly top with barbecue sauce; set aside.

Make the coleslaw by combining all the remaining ingredients (except pickles) in a medium bowl, stir well to combine, taste, and make any necessary flavor or seasoning adjustments. Tips - Buy a bag of &quot;coleslaw mix&quot; from the bagged salad mix area of your grocery store to save time. The coleslaw will get juicier as it sits as the salt draw the natural water and moisture from the cabbage. So if it&#x27;s a bit dry at first, let it sit 10 minutes and it&#x27;ll be juicier. Add more mayo at that point if it&#x27;s not quite juicy enough for your liking. Alternatively, you can buy premade coleslaw and use that instead of making your own.

Evenly add the coleslaw over the top of the barbecue sauce and pork.

Baking Tips - If you want to bake the sliders, brush about 2 to 4 tablespoons softened unsalted butter evenly over the tops of the buns, cover the pan with foil, bake covered for 15 minutes at 350F, uncover and bake for 5 minutes, or until as golden browned as desired before serving.

In a crockpot, place your pork in the insert and pour the soda or beer over top of the pork.

Set your crockpot on low and cook for 6 hours.

After 6 hours, place pork on large cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes. You can discard any liquid inside the crockpot insert.

Using a fork or tongs, shred the pork and place back into the crockpot insert.

Pour BBQ sauce on top of shredded pork and toss to coat completely.

Serve on toasted slider buns.
