Sauteed Asparagus with Garlic and Parmesan is a quick, easy, and healthy side dish recipe. The asparagus spears are fresh and flavorful and will be ready to eat in only 10 minutes.

Sauteed Asparagus with Garlic and Parmesan

olive oil

asparagus,

Parmesan cheese, shaved with a vegetable peeler

Heat a large skillet over high heat. Once it&#8217;s hot, add the oil and asparagus. Using tongs, toss the asparagus so that it cooks evenly. (Make sure the asparagus is completely dry before adding it to the pan to avoid any oil splatters)

After 3 minutes, add the garlic to the pan. Cook for 2 minutes more then remove the pan from the heat.

Add the parmesan to the pan and toss the asparagus so it&#8217;s coated in the cheese. Serve right away.

Kale Apple Salad

Crisp-tender, perfectly sautéed asparagus is topped with toasted almonds and a garlicky, lemon goat cheese sauce. A tasty Spring side-dish!

Sautéed Asparagus with Goat Cheese Sauce

⅓ cup sliced almonds, toasted

avocado oil

asparagus

garlic cloves,

Lemon juice

salt and pepper

parsley

goat

plain yogurt (full fat

garlic clove, minced

lemon juice

honey

avocado oil or olive oil

Placing a large skillet over medium heat. When the skillet is hot, add the almonds and toast, stirring often, for 6-8 minutes or until they are golden and give off a toasted aroma. Transfer the almonds to a plate to cool.

Wipe out the skillet and place over medium-high heat. When the skillet is hot, add the oil and swirl to coat the bottom. When the oil starts to shimmer, add the asparagus. Cook for 6 minutes, stirring every 1-2 minutes. Then add the garlic and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender to your liking. Once cooked, add a squeeze of lemon juice and a dash of salt and pepper to taste. Turn off heat while you prepare the Lemon Goat Cheese Sauce.

For the Lemon Goat Cheese Sauce: In a small food processor or blender combine all of the sauce ingredients. Process or blend until smooth adding extra oil if necessary to achieve a smooth consistency.

Transfer the asparagus to a serving platter and top with a drizzle of the sauce and sprinkle of the toasted almonds. Garnish with lemon zest and fresh chopped parsley, if desired.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Easy Sautéed Asparagus

Extra virgin olive oil

garlic, (minced)

shallot, (chopped)

lemon, (zested and juiced)

chile pepper flakes,

za'atar

red peppers

feta cheese, (more to your liking)

Heat up ¼ cup olive oil over medium-high heat until just shimmering.

Add the asparagus and season with kosher salt and black pepper.

Cook for a couple minutes, tossing regularly, then add the shallots and garlic and cook for another 3 minutes or until the asparagus is tender and lightly browned.

Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice, zest, spices, roasted peppers and feta cheese. Serve immediately.

Sautéed asparagus gets all dressed with some golden brown, crunchy garlic breadcrumbs! A delicious and easy vegetable side dish.

Sauteed Asparagus with Garlic Breadcrumbs

olive oil (divided)

panko breadcrumbs (I used whole wheat)

garlic (minced, divided)

salt

salt and pepper (to taste*)

Prepare a large bowl with ice water.

Bring a large saucepan of well-salted water to a boil over medium heat. Add the asparagus stalk pieces and cook for 2 minutes. Add the tips and cook for an additional minute (see Note below). Drain and immediately plunge the asparagus into the ice water to stop it from cooking further. Let the asparagus rest in the ice water while the breadcrumbs are prepared, then drain.

Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a large nonstick skillet set over medium-high heat. Add the breadcrumbs, half of the garlic and the salt. Saute, stirring occasionally, until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crunchy, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate or bowl.

Heat the remaining 2 teaspoons olive oil in the skillet, then add the remaining garlic and asparagus. Cook just to warm the asparagus, about 1 minute.

Remove from the heat and return the breadcrumbs to the pan. Toss to combine, taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve.

No blanching necessary for this quick and easy Sauteed Asparagus recipe. The addition of garlic and lemon juice creates the best asparagus recipe.

Sauteed Asparagus -the Best Recipe

asparagus (fresh, 15 spears, bottom trimmed and rinsed)

olive oil (extra virgin)

garlic

Juice and zest of ½ lemon (freshly squeezed)

Romano or Parmesan cheese (grated, optional)

Place a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the olive oil.

Add asparagus and saute for about 3-5 minutes. The total time depends on the size of the asparagus.

Taste for doneness. Should be crisp-tender.

Add chopped garlic cloves and continue to cook for about 1-2  minutes.

Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust accordingly.

Add lemon juice and saute for another 30 seconds or so.

Remove from heat.

Add lemon zest and toss to combine.

If desired, garnish with grated cheese and serve.

Garlic Asparagus Pasta Recipe

short pasta (We used Campanelle.)

asparagus (ends trimmed then cut into bite-sized pieces)

unsalted butter

Parmesan cheese (shredded off the block)

Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain, and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil, asparagus, and salt.

Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes, then add the garlic. Cook for an additional minute, and remove from heat.

Add the butter and cooked pasta. Toss to combine, then add the Parmesan cheese. Give everything a good stir.

Serve hot with extra Parmesan cheese, and freshly squeezed lemon juice if desired.

Garlic Asparagus Pasta

Add a healthy boost of nutrients to dinner with this easy recipe for Sautéed Asparagus. Flavored with lemon and parmesan, this is a tender and quick side dish that pairs well with almost anything.

Snap the ends off of the asparagus and discard them, then place the asparagus onto a plate. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper and use your hands to make sure they&#039;re completely coated.

Cook

Heat the remaining oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the asparagus in a single layer and place a lid on the skillet. Cook asparagus for 2 minutes, then remove the lid, add the lemon juice, place the lid back on and continue cooking for 1-5 minutes, tossing with kitchen tongs every minute or so or until they can easily be pierced with a fork.

Transfer asparagus to a plate and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and enjoy!

Add in the minced garlic, salt and pepper. Give it a gentle stir. Cook for another 30-45 seconds or until garlic is lightly browned (but not burned).

Transfer onto a plate and garnish with shaved parmesan cheese. Serve.
