Serve this delicious cheese spread on crostini. Remember to start draining the yogurt the day before blending the cheese.

Herbed Yogurt Cheese

yogurt cheese, (see Tip)

scallions,

parsley,

basil,

garlic,

salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Blend together yogurt cheese, scallions, parsley, basil, garlic, salt and pepper with a wooden spoon in a medium bowl. Garnish with parsley leaves and serve.


This was really good! It should be pointed out that all ingredients need to be fresh for it to be truly good (e.g., freshly ground black pepper).
One big plea: don't just drain the whey into the sink! You can drink it (maybe 50/50 with milk), use it in oatmeal / cereal or instead of water when baking.


My husband &amp; I really enjoyed this;It is a very light cheese,it reminds me of Ricotta Cheese, I spread it on some sandwiches &amp; I'm going to make homemade Ravioli &amp; try it in the filling:)
