Easy Chicken Fried Rice

yellow onion, diced

tbsp minced garlic

tbsp minced ginger

jasmine rice, cooked

mixed vegetables

eggs

Sesame seeds and green onions,

To a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp of the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for one minute.

Stir in the chicken, rice, and mixed vegetables and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. To a small bowl crack the eggs and whisk until well beaten.

Push everything to one side of the pan and add the additional tablespoon of oil on the empty side of the pan. Once the oil is hot, add in the eggs and cook until scrambled. Once the eggs are scrambled, mix everything together and stir in soy sauce. Let everything cook together for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Enjoy with sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top!

If you don’t like spicy food, try making my HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN, which also takes only 20 minutes and is super delicious.

SPICY GARLIC CHICKEN

chicken thigh (boneless skin-on)

Salt and pepper

cornstarch

Garlic Chopped

Korean Chilli Paste

Honey

tbsp of Soy Sauce

tbsp of Sesame Seeds

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and coat the chicken with a thin layer of cornstarch on both sides.

In a pan, drizzle in oil and turn the heat to medium-high. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken, skin side facing down.

Pan-fry the chicken for 4 minutes on each side or until crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Pour in the sauce, Mix, and simmer for 30 seconds

Add back in the chicken and cook for 1 minute on each side on high heat.

My Secret Garlicy and savory sauce drizzled all over perfectly steamed eggplant, get your rice ready because you will be eating bowls and bowls of rice. Chinese Eggplant with Garlic Sauce is not only healthy but also incredibly delicious. If you never tried Chinese Eggplant, this is a sign to be blown away!

Chinese Eggplant with Garlic Sauce

Chinese Eggplant

Garlic minced

stocks of Green Onion chopped

Red Chili (optional)

tbsp of Vegetarian Oyster Sauce

Sugar

tbsp of Black Vinegar

tbsp of Sesame Oil

Cut the ends of the eggplant off and cut the eggplant in half. Slice the eggplant in half again and cut into 2-inch pieces

Place the eggplant skin side facing down in a bowl and steam for 5-7 minutes.

In a bowl, add vegetarian oyster sauce, soy sauce, black vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic, chopped red chili, and the white parts of the green onion.

Heat 4 tbsp of oil, and once the oil is hot, pour it over the sauces and mix.

Once the eggplant is ready, transfer it onto a new plate. Pour garlic sauce all over the eggplant and garnish with green onion.

Chicken Chow Mein

450 g of Egg Chow Mein Noodles

½ Carrot (sliced)

¼ Cabbage (sliced)

Shiitake Mushroom (sliced)

Celery

½ Large Onion (sliced)

Stalks of Green Onion (2-inch pieces)

chicken thighs (boneless and skinless)

oyster sauce

Black pepper

2.5 tbsp of Vegetarian Oyster Sauce

tsp of Black Pepper

Cut chicken thigh into bite-size pieces and marinate with soy sauce, oyster sauce, corn starch, and black pepper; set it aside while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

Blanch the chow mein noodles for 30-60 seconds, rinse with cold water, drain and set aside.

Mix soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, black vinegar, and black pepper in a bowl.

In a large pan, drizzle in a generous amount of oil and turn the heat to medium-high. Add in the chicken and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Add in sliced onions and shiitake mushroom, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Next, add in sliced carrots and celery, saute for 1-2 minutes, add in sliced cabbage, and saute for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the noodles, drizzle on the sauce, and saute on high heat for 2-3 minutes.

Finally, add in green onion and saute on high heat for 1 minute. (optional)

Think of Mala Ban as a love child between hot pot and spicy garlic noodles. The numbing and spicy sauce tastes good with literally EVERYTHING. The best part about Mala Ban is that everyone can customize their sauce and ingredients, so it is vegetarian-friendly!

MALA BAN (Spicy Mix)

garlic (minced)

Green onion (thinly sliced)

Roasted Sesame Seeds

sichuan peppercorn (adjust to your spice preference)

Korean Red Chili Flakes (adjust to your spice preference)

sea salt

Homemade Chili Oil

sesame paste

broth

Soy Sauce

Black Vinegar

Prepare by blanching any vegetable, protein, and carbs of your choice. I love napa cabbage, mushrooms, and bok choy for vegetables, fish balls, and thinly sliced meat for protein. For carbs, I usually use instant noodles.

Add garlic, green onion, roasted sesame seeds, ground Sichuan peppercorn, Korean red chili flakes, sea salt, and homemade chili oil in a bowl to make the chili sauce. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil and pour it on top of the ingredients. Mix well

Mix roasted sesame paste, soy sauce, black vinegar, and hot water for the sesame paste. Mix everything till smooth.

Combine the sesame paste and chili sauce, and that's it!

Drizzle the sauce on top of the blanched ingredients, and enjoy!

Savoury, delicious, and super affordable to make at home, Spicy Garlic Spam Fried Rice is the perfect recipe for weeknight dinners. If you don’t like spicy food, you can also skip the red chili, and it will still be super delicious.

Spicy Garlic Spam Fried Rice

Spam

green onions (chopped)

Cups of Cold Cooked Rice

seaweed

garlic (chopped)

Thai red chili (chopped)

sesame seeds

sesame oil

sugar

Mix soy sauce, garlic, red chili, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and sugar.

In a pan, turn the heat to medium-high, and add the chopped spam. No need to add any oil; pan-fry for around 4-5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

Push the spam to the side, and add white parts of the green onion and eggs. Scramble the eggs for around 2-3 minutes.

Finally, add in the rice, roasted seaweed, and green onion, and drizzle in the sauce. Saute on high heat for another 2-3 minutes.

Optional, finish off with a fried egg and enjoy!

Longevity Noodles with Taiwanese Meat Sauce

Shiitake Mushrooms (sliced)

Shallots (Medium, minced)

Garlic (minced)

lb Ground Pork

tbsp Soy Sauce

Water

pack Noodles

packs Marinated Firm Tofu (VEGETARIAN OPTION **)

Turn the heat up to medium-high, drizzle in oil, and add ground meat in a pot. Sauté together for 2-3 minutes.

*** VEGETARIAN: Replace ground meat with diced marinated firm tofu. ***

Add in shallots and garlic and sauté together for another 2-3 minutes.

Add in sliced mushroom, soy sauce, and sugar and saute together for 1-2 minutes.

Add in 2 cups of water and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the noodles.

To plate this dish, start with the noodles and pour on the meat sauce. Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.

Delicious Instant Pot Pho – Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup that will blow your mind! I make this recipe ALL THE TIME, and with an instant pot, it takes less than 1.5 hours, and you can have a homemade delicious beef broth that tastes so much better than takeout! 

Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup - Instant Pot Pho

2.5 lb Beef Bones

Onion

Ginger (thin slices)

Cinnamon

Star Anise

Coriander Seeds

tbsp Whole Cloves

tbsp Fish Sauce

Salt

Sugar Sugar

Beef

Beef Meat Balls

Thai Basil

Lime Wedges

Bean Sprouts

Green Onion

Cilantro

Thai Chili

Hoisin Sauce

Sriracha

Add beef bones to a pot and fill with water until all the beef bone is covered. Turn the heat to medium-high and let it simmer for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, rinse the bone clean, making sure to remove all the impurities from the bone, drain, and set aside.

In a pan, toast all the spices for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant. Set aside.

Cut the onion in half and toast of medium-high heat and ginger until charred or fragrant, takes 3-4 minutes.

Place ginger and all the species in a spice bag, so it’s easier to fish out after.

Add beef bones, spice bag, onion, water, fish sauce, salt, and rock sugar in the instant pot. Set the instant pot to high-pressure cook and cook for 1 hour

After 1 hour, add in beef balls, turn the setting to saute, and cook for another 10 minutes or until beef balls are cooked. Prepare noodles, garnish, and toppings in the meantime.

Start with drained rice noodles, add on thinly sliced beef, and garnish with green onion and cilantro. Pour the hot soup all over the soup and serve with all your favorite garnishments!

Back with another 20-MINUTE DINNER, Sizzling Pork Belly Plate. If you don’t have time but want a delicious and easy dinner, you must try my Sizzle Pork Belly Plate. The sauce is the perfect balance between savory and sweet and will get you craving for more. Enjoy with rice or udon noodles, plus my go-to, FRIED EGG.

Sizzling Pork Belly Plate

lb pork belly (thinly sliced)

onion (sliced)

dashi powder

honey

0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Mix soy sauce, dashi powder, honey, and black pepper.

In a pan, drizzle in oil and turn the heat to medium-high. Add sliced onion, and saute for 3-4 minutes or until translucent.

Next, add thinly sliced pork belly, and drizzle in the sauce. Turn the heat to high, and saute for 4 minutes.

Finally, add in alot of green onion, and saute on high heat for another 2-3 minutes.

Optional, make a well in the middle, add cooked rice or noodles, top with fried egg, and let it sizzle for another 2-3 minutes so the rice becomes crispy. Mix everything and enjoy!

My family loved this!I discovered it because hubby bought a pack of thin slice pork belly and I didn't really know what to do with it.  My 5 yo is normally a nightmare with anything different when it comes to food, but he devoured it and wanted more. I had no dashi powder, never heard of it but will get some for next time! I substituted with oyster sauce for umami, it worked well. Also threw it some steed veggies.  Delicious 😋

There is a way to make Chinese BBQ Pork - Char Siu Pork Rice at home in a way that is simple, mess-free, affordable, AND delicious every single time? Sweet and Savory Pork roasted to a perfect, this finger-licking good Air Fryer Char Siu Pork will taste so good you no longer need to make a trip down to Chinatown for your cravings. 

Air Fryer Char Siu - Chinese BBQ Pork

lb Boneless Pork Shoulder

4-5 tbsp LLK Char Siu Seasoning

1.5 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce

½ tbsp Five Spice Powder

Garlic

2 inch sliced Ginger

Chinese Cooking Wine (optional)

Cut the pork into 4 inches wide and 2-inch thick pieces.

Marinate the pork with LKK Char Siu Sauce, dark soy sauce, five-spice powder, garlic, Chinese cooking wine, and ginger. Massage the pork for 2-3 minutes, making sure every part of the pork is covered in the sauce; let it rest for at least 5 hours or better overnight.

Spray the net with cooking oil and put the meat into the air fryer basket. Fry it at 400F for 30 minutes.

Halfway through, flip the meat and add on more sauce.

Let the pork rest for 3-5 minutes before cutting, serve ontop a bowl of hot rice.
