Remove the peels from the bananas and slice them 1/2" inch thick.

Set a nonstick skillet over medium to medium high heat** and add the oil or butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.

Add the banana slices, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and caramelized. Be sure to watch the heat and turn it down if it browns too quickly. You want enough heat to caramelize and brown the slices, but you don’t want them to burn.

Once the bananas are cooked you can enjoy them as is, or with marshmallow creme and peanut butter in a sandwich, with Bananas Foster French Toast, in oatmeal or yogurt, over ice cream, and more. Enjoy!

Homemade Baked Banana Chips Recipe

Preheat oven to 200F.

Cover a sheet pan with foil and lightly grease with cooking spray.

Toss the bananas in lemon juice.

Arrange the bananas in a single layer on prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 1 hour; check to see if the tops are firm and starting to turn color. If so, flip the slices with a metal spatula, and continue to bake for 1 hour longer, or until desired crispness. Check on the banana slices from time to time - oven temperatures do vary. The thickness of the slices also matters.

Also, if you find the bananas are sticking and not able to easily flip, keep baking for another 20 to 30 minutes before flipping.

Remove from oven and transfer the chips to a wire rack.

Cool completely. The longer they cool, the crunchier they will get.

Thermomix Banana Pancakes Recipe

g butter (plus extra for greasing the frying pan)

g banana ((approx 2 medium))

tsp vanilla extract

milk

eggs

flour

cinnamon

Place the butter into your Thermomix bowl and cook for 2 minutes, 60 degrees, Speed 2 to melt.

Add the banana and vanilla extract and mix for 10 seconds, speed 6.

Add the milk, eggs, self raising flour and cinnamon and mix for 10 seconds speed 4.

Scrape down the sides of the Thermomix bowl and mix for a further 5 seconds, speed 4.

Preheat a non-stick frying pan on medium heat.  Using a 1/4 measuring cup, pour mixture into pan.

Cook each pancake for approximately 2 minutes, until they start to bubble, before flipping over and cooking for a further 1 minute.

Place the cooked pancakes into a Thermoserver to keep warm or onto a plate. Repeat until all of the mixture is used.

These easy Banana Pikelets make a great breakfast or lunch box snack. Both regular and Thermomix instructions included.

Banana Pikelets Recipe

self raising flour (200 grams)

tbsp caster sugar (optional)

bananas (approximately 3 medium sized bananas)

milk (200 grams)

Butter (to grease the frying pan)

Place the bananas in a bowl and mash with a fork. Set aside until needed

Sift the self raising flour into a large bowl. Add the caster sugar and stir through to create a well in the centre.

In a large jug, add the eggs, milk and vanilla essence and stir to combine. Add the combined liquids along with the mashed banana to the sifted flour mixture and stir with a large metal spoon to combine.

Add a little butter to a non stick frying pan and heat over a medium heat. Use a large spoon to scoop up the pikelet mixture and pour into the heated frying pan. Repeat until you have four pikelets in your frying pan.

Cook each pikelet for approximately one minute, or until they begin to bubble on the surface. Carefully flip each pikelet over with an egg flip and cook for a further minute. Transfer the pikelets to a plate. Cover with foil to keep warm.

Repeat the above step until you have used all of the mixture.

Serve pikelets immediately with your favourite topping.

Preheat your frying pan with a little bit of butter over a medium high heat and add tablespoon amounts of the banana pikelet mixture.

When bubbles begin to appear on the surface, carefully flip them over and cook for a further 30 seconds on the other side before transferring to a Thermoserver or plate covered with foil to keep warm.

Continue until you have used all of the mixture.
