Most definitely the best BNB ever! I used 1/4C butter and 1/4C oil. Also used 1/2C granulated sugar and 1/2C dark brown sugar. It did require an additional 10 minutes of cooking time. Well worth the wait!!

You were right! This is the only recipe I need. I think my family and I became addictive to banana bread after I tried this recipe. It's super easy to make and it's delicious! I should add that I tweaked this recipe just a little by adding 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon and reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup (vs 1 cup) 🙂.

I was trying to find the best banana bread recipe and I can confirm this is definitely the best! I didn’t have any sour cream so I had to sub with milk and a little vinegar, which I saw some people do in the comments. I also didn’t have an extra egg yolk (I’ve been baking too much oops haha). I read every single review and all of them say they had a success which a great. My family loved it, they said it wasn’t too sweet but a little dry which could be from subbing it with milk and not using the extra egg yolk, but overall for my first time making banana bread tbh i think I did pretty good. It’s a simple delicious recipe and if your a beginner you should be fine as long as you follow everything correctly. Definitely will be making this again when I get more ripe bananas! (and get sour cream and add the extra egg yolk lol)

I made this banana bread today. It is so good. I did a few things different. I used 2 eggs, I did not use parchment paper but I did oil the bottom of the pan and up the sides for 1 inch. After the bread cooled ten minutes I went around the pan with a knife then put the bread pan on its side and slipped it out onto a chopping board then I transferred to the wire rack to cool although someone was dropping something by and wanted some so I had to cut into it warm.

This recipe is awesome, I finally made the most perfect banana bread. I have fail so many times trying other recipe before. This is a keeper, I m loving it. Thanks.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray or grease with butter and set aside.

Add the stick of butter to a large bowl and microwave for 1 minute, or until melted.

Add the bananas to the same bowl and mash with a fork.

Add the vanilla extract and egg to the bowl and use the same fork to mash and stir until no yellow streaks of egg remain.

In a second large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix together with a spatula just until combined.

Pour the batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease well 9&#215;5 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, sugar and salt.

In a medium bowl mix together mashed bananas, eggs, vanilla, oil and Greek yogurt.  Now add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir just until combined.

Whisk together flour and baking soda in a large bowl and set aside.  Combine melted butter, sugar, sour cream, eggs, bananas and vanilla extract.  Stir together with a spoon.  Add to flour mixture and mix well with spoon.  Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray and add batter to pan. Add swirl.

Combine and spread on top of the banana batter.  Take a knife and swirl into batter. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 65 to 70 minutes checking until done as ovens vary. It took mine 70 minutes to cook. Remove from oven and let cool. Drizzle on topping below.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking loaf pan with parchment paper and spray.

Using a stand mixer fitted with the flat beater or paddle attachment, combine the butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, beating until smooth. Such a dependable recipe.  Baked mine in a Farberware 9x5 rose gold metal pan for exactly 60 mins at 325 and it turned out perfect.  I have made 6 of these breads since Thanksgiving....beautiful every single time.

This is a great butterless banana bread recipe and like a foundation for endless improvisation and reworking. I included some whole wheat flour, chocolate chunks, walnuts, flax seeds and an extra egg yolk. The combinations are endless. Maybe never two banana breads alike. Banana Bread Recipe

unsalted butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray with nonstick cooking spray or grease and flour the bottom and sides of an 8½ x 4½ inch loaf pan. (Can also butter pan and sprinkle with sugar or a combination of sugar and cinnamon.) Set aside.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

Mash bananas in a large bowl using a potato masher, fork, or a mixer. There can be some small chunks remaining, it doesn&#039;t have to be completely smooth.

Whisk in sugar, eggs, melted butter, sour cream and vanilla extract.

Add flour mixture and stir in gently just until combined. Transfer to the prepared loaf pan and use the spatula to smooth the top.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. If bread starts to get too brown on top, tent with foil for the last 10 minutes.

Let bread cool on cooling rack in loaf pan for 15 to 20 minutes. Invert the loaf pan and carefully remove banana bread. Let bread continue to cool on the rack for another hour or more. Slice and serve.
