These Vegan chia jars are a perfect, nutritional breakfast with a simple raspberry smoothie layered on top of my classic chia pudding

Raspberry Smoothie Layered Chia Pudding Jars

almond milk (or any milk of choice)

Tbsp chia seeds

Tbsp maple syrup (or your favourite natural sweetener)

tsp vanilla extract

banana (frozen)

raspberries (frozen)

almond milk (or any liquid of choice)

Puffed quinoa with seeds and freeze dried raspberry powder

Raspberry smoothie layered Chia pudding jars

Combine the chia seeds, milk, vanilla extract/ powder and sweetener together. Mix thoroughly to avoid the seeds clumping (as this can cause them to sink in the liquid). *

Leave the chia pudding covered in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight, to thicken. This is also the time to pop your banana and raspberries in the freezer.

When you're ready to serve, then you can prepare the raspberry smoothie. Do this by blending all the smoothie ingredients, till smooth.  Using frozen bananas and raspberries will yield a thick, creamy smoothie. If you want something lighter, then you can use room-temp banana instead. 

Layer the raspberry smoothie ** over the chia pudding and add toppings. You could use fresh or frozen fruit as well as sprinkles (coconut flakes, etc.). You could also add some homemade peanut butter or almond butter for a PBJ style dish. Alternatively, you could also add some cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips.

mixed nuts (chopped)

mixed seeds

coconut

almond flour

cinnamon

fine sea salt

coconut oil (melted)

maple syrup

vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 325°F then line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

In a large bowl, combine the chopped nuts, seeds, coconut, almond flour, cinnamon and salt. Pour the melted coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract over top. Stir until everything is evenly coated with liquid.

Spread the mixture out on the baking sheet into a large rectangle. Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. The nuts should appear golden and the granola should be fragrant. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before stirring. Transfer to a sealed container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

steel cut oats

coarse flax seed meal

water

Tablespoon olive or coconut oil

onion -finely chopped

tri color sweet peppers

Jalapeño-De-seeded and chopped

curry leaves bay leaf as substitute)

Cumin Seeds

Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

ginger

lemon juiced

cashews

Salt and pepper per taste

5 Minute Pumpkin Chia Coconut Granola

oats, dry

pumpkin pie spice

butter, unsalted

maple syrup, pure

coconut flakes

pumpkin seed kernels

Mix rolled oats, chia seeds, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl.

In a skillet on medium heat, melt together butter, maple syrup, and pumpkin puree.

Once melted, add dry ingredients to the skillet. Toast over medium heat, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes.

Remove from skillet and spread in a single layer on a cookie sheet to cool.

Once cooled, add coconut and pumpkin seeds.

This Oatmeal Recipe for Baby is made with simple nutrient-dense ingredients in less than 10 minutes, and it&#039;s perfect for baby&#039;s first bite or added into their favorite fruit or veggie puree. Great for 4+ months and up. 

Oatmeal for Babies (Stage One)

old fashioned oats

tsp hemp seeds ((optional))

/2 tsp chia seeds ((optional))

Boil: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Add Oats: add in 1 cup of old-fashioned oats along with the chia seeds, hemp seeds and any spices you are using.

Cook: turn down the heat to medium-low and cook the oats for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until all of the water is gone and the oats are soft. Let cool slightly. 

Blend: transfer the oats to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes, adding water in 1/4 cup increments if needed, until completely smooth. I had to add 1/2 cup of water to my oatmeal. You will want the oat cereal to be on the thinner side so it doesn&#039;t become sticky. The oats will continue to absorb liquid as they cool, so add more water, breast milk or formula as needed.

Eat: serve to baby or freeze for later.

Chia Fresca

lime (juiced)

tsp honey (or other liquid sweetener)

pink Himalayan salt

In a large glass combine the water, chia, lime juice, honey, and salt.

Stir well to avoid clumps, and set aside for 10-15 minutes.

You will have to stir again as the chia seeds will settle with time - this is totally normal.

When the seeds are well hydrated (they should look sort of like a tomato seed with the jelly layer around it), give the glass a final stir.

Drink immediately.

Mango Chia Seeds Milk Shake - Healthy and Nutritious, this shake is perfect to start your day lite and healthy. Milk shakes are always favorite of kids, addition of Mango is like Cherry on top for all  - both kids and adult alike and Chia Seeds are my little secret to have max Health benefit too. I have added very less sugar in this shake. You can increase or skip sugar per your taste Or I suggest to add 1 tbsp of Agave Syrup instead. Mango Chia Seeds Milk Shake

Cup Milk, Almond Milk or Low fat milk

mango

tbsp Chia Seeds, Soaked overnight in 1/2 cup water

tbsp Sugar, Optional

Soak Chia Seeds overnight in 1/2 cup water.

Mix Chia seeds with 1/2 cup milk and stir well to separate all seeds ( Chia seeds tends to develop gelatinous coating and glue together).

Combine 1 and 1/2 cup milk, sugar, mango in bowl or Jar

Blend all ingredients till mango is blended well in the milk. Add Chia seed soaked in milk and stir well to combine.

Pour in glasses and garnish with mango wedges to serve this healthy and yummy Mango Milk Shake

When soaked overnight in milk, oats become tender and creamy. Unlike oatmeal, the uncooked but softened oats retain a fresh flavor and, of course, they’re delicious cold. Soaking dried fruit — use your favorite — alongside the oats sweetens the mixture nicely, but you can stir in additional sugar, maple syrup or honey to taste just before eating. Then, just before you dig in, top it with nuts for an irresistible crunch against the creamy oats.

Mix oats, dried fruit, seeds, milk and salt in a pint jar or 2-cup airtight resealable container. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or up to 5 days.

Uncover, stir well, and taste. If you prefer more sweetness, stir in some sweetener. Top with the nuts just before eating.

To begin, pour almond milk, honey, and cacao powder into the NutriBullet and blend until evenly combined.

Next, pour in the chia seeds and pulse about 5 to 6 times to distribute the seeds. Allow this mixture to sit for at least 20 to 25 minutes, but the longer the chia seeds have a chance to gel, the better. Overnight is best.

When ready to serve, simply spoon into little parfait dishes and enjoy as is or add a few mint leaves or chopped berries for a tasty and lovely garnish.
