Healthy, crunchy, homemade granola that everyone will love. No need to buy the oil-laden, sugar-sweetened, overpriced stuff in the stores ever again!

Crunchy Oil-Free Granola

rolled oats (for the millet version, use 2 1/4 cups oats

maple syrup (plus an add'l 2 Tbsp

tsp sea salt

cinnamon

tsp ground ginger

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.

Combine the oats, millet, nuts and seeds in a large bowl. Whisk together the maple syrup, salt, and spices in a small bowl. Pour the maple syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is thoroughly coated.

Spread the granola onto the prepared pan and bake 30-35 minutes, stirring at the 15-minute mark. For crunchy granola, you want everything to appear fairly dry. If you check the granola around the 25- to 30-minute mark and parts are still moist, stir and bake for several more minutes.

Let the granola cool completely on the pan, then add dried fruit. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. For extended storage, granola can also be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.

This granola is fragrant with cinnamon, allspice, and spicy ginger--plus a handful of chopped crystallized ginger for more zing. It’s crunchy and crisp, nutty with cashews and sesame seeds, and full of sticky, sweet chopped dates.

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix the oats, cashews, sesame seeds, allspice, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat the coconut oil until melted, about 20 seconds. Add the maple syrup and vanilla extract. Pour the coconut oil mixture over the oat mixture and toss well to combine.

Spread on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring every 5 minutes or so, until golden brown, fragrant, and crisp, about 25 minutes.

Remove the granola from the oven and stir in the dates and crystallized ginger. Let cool completely before transferring to an airtight container for storing. Keep at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

This flavourful and aromatic easy vegan gingerbread granola is easy to make and very versatile. We love it for breakfast, but it’s also fantastic as a crumble topping, sprinkled on yogurt or, as my kids like to do, eaten dry with a spoon for a snack.&nbsp;

Easy Vegan Gingerbread Granola

coconut oil

tsp vanilla extract

160 g (2 cups) rolled oats

pecans (roughly chopped)

tbsp coconut

cranberries (chopped)

tbsp crystallised ginger (chopped finely)

½ tsp ground ginger

nutmeg

Preheat oven to 150C / 300F. Line two baking trays with baking paper.&nbsp;

In a small pan over a med/low heat, melt the maple syrup and coconut oil together. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Allow to cool slightly.&nbsp;

In a large bowl, mix the oats, pecans, coconut, seeds, cranberries, crystallised ginger and spices together. Pour in the maple syrup mixture and mix well.&nbsp;

Spread out in a thin layer on the baking sheets and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden, stirring occasionally to ensure that it cooks evenly.

Leave the granola to cool - it will harden and crisp up on the tray. Store in an airtight container.

Cannabis Granola

cannabis coconut oil

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.  Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.

Melt the Cannabis Coconut Oil. In a large bowl add the Coconut Oil, Honey, Salt, and Cinnamon and mix to combine.

Add the Oats and Almonds into the bowl and stir until the the oats are evenly coated. You can add more oats if needed, or more honey if needed!

If you are using cranberries and blueberries you can mix those in now.  If you are using any other type of dried fruit, do not add the fruit in yet.

Spread the granola onto the lined baking sheet, and cook for 10 minutes.  Remove and stir.  Cook for another 8-10 minutes or until the granola is a light golden brown.

If you did not add the fruit yet, add the fruit now. Sprinkle the fruit on top, and tamp it down into the granola.  Allow the Granola to totally cool.  Keep stored in an air tight container at room temperature. Enjoy!

Healthy Homemade Granola

oats (old fashioned or quick oats

whole wheat flour flour

melted coconut oil

cup honey

chopped nuts or seed

chocolate chips (add after it bakes and cools, and probably not more than a cup of them total)

Preheat oven to 225 degrees F. Line a big cookie sheet with parchment and grease lightly.

In a large bowl combine the oats, flour, salt, and cinnamon if using, stir to combine.

In a small bowl whisk together the coconut oil, honey, and vanilla.

Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients. Mix everything together making sure there are no dry spots.

Add any additions you would like and stir to combine.

Spread granola onto the prepared cookie sheet in an even layer. The pan will be nice and full. Bake for 1 hour.

Remove from the oven and let the granola cool, it will be a deep golden color. 

Once the granola has cooled break it into smaller pieces as you see fit (we like some chunky and eat it like a cookie and some we break up small in our bowls for cold cereal). 

Store in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge if you aren&#8217;t going through it very quickly.

Honey-Puffed Rice Granola with Cardamom

fine-cut oats, ((certified gluten-free if needed) (200 g))

puffed brown rice ((60 g))

unsweetened coconut flakes ((50 g))

almonds ((135 g))

walnuts

Preheat oven to 325°F / 160°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix together the oats, puffed rice, coconut, and nuts.

In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the coconut oil until just melted, add the honey, spices and salt. Whisk together to combine. Pour over the dry ingredients; mix well until evenly coated.

Spread the mixture evenly onto the lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until it starts to turn golden, be sure to give it a little stir near the halfway point. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool in the tray.

Stir in the raisins and chopped apples and let the granola fully cool in the tray before serving or stowing away.

To serve, combine with nut/seed milk or yoghurt and whatever fresh fruit is in season. Enjoy!

This peanut butter granola is made with just 4 ingredients, in only 10 minutes of prep time. It's crisp and lightly sweetened, with just the right amount of peanut butter flavor. You will want to eat this homemade peanut butter granola by the handful!

Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.

Place oats in a large bowl. Combine honey and peanut butter in a liquid measuring cup. Heat in the microwave for about 45 seconds, until the peanut butter starts to melt. Whisk peanut butter and honey to blend. Add in vanilla and whisk to incorporate.

Pour the peanut butter mixture over the oats and stir until well combined. Spread granola in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet (line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up). Bake for 20 minutes, stir, and then press granola into an even layer on the baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes more until granola becomes light golden brown.

Let cool completely on baking sheet. The granola will become crisp as it cools. Store granola in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Mix first 6 ingredients together. Whisk the oil and the honey together and add to oats mixture.

Spread on a baking sheet (it’s helpful if it has raised edges) and bake for 35 minutes, stirring all the way down to the bottom of the pan a few times during baking. Bake longer for more crunch, but don’t let it burn! Allow granola to cool completely after baking (this is when it clumps together). Serve with milk, yogurt, fruit, ice cream, or just plain snacking!

This Air Fryer Granola is an easy and quick recipe that&#039;s ready in just 15 minutes! It&#039;s sweet, crunchy, and made with healthy pantry ingredients!

Air Fryer Granola Recipe

Preheat your air fryer to 350ºF (180ºC) and lay a piece of parchment paper in the basket.

To a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients- oats, almonds, cinnamon, and salt.

Add coconut oil and maple syrup and mix until everything is well coated.

Transfer the granola mixture to the air fryer basket (cook in 2 batches if needed, don&#39;t overcrowd). Cook for 6-7 minutes, then stir and cook for another 7 minutes. Make sure to stir every 2 minutes towards the end to prevent burning. It&#39;s ready when it&#39;s golden brown in color.

Transfer the granola to a baking sheet or a large plate and let it cool completely. Stir in the raisins. Serve!

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and spray a large sheet pan with cooking spray, or line with parchment paper.

Mix dry ingredients: Add oats, sunflower seeds, coconut, almonds, and sesame seeds to a large bowl and stir to combine.

Make Syrup by adding butter to a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, honey and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil and once boiling, remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.

Combine: Pour syrup over the dry oat mixture and mix well until everything is evenly coated.

Bake: Pour mixture onto prepared pan and spread into an even layer. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and toss mixture, then gently press down on it with your spatula to flatten it back into the pan. Bake for another 8-12 minutes until golden brown.

Press and Cool: Remove pan from oven and use the back of a metal spatula to press the hot granola firmly down into the pan. Allow granola to cool completely in the pan before stirring or breaking it up (this will yield clusters that stick together).

I've tried several granola recipes and they've not been successful.  I was resigned to having to eat expensive store-bought granola until now. Oh my word this is the best granola recipe so easy and tastes perfect! It's an excellent base with so many add n possibilities. 

 The only fundamental change I'll make next time is to omit the 1/4 tsp of salt - with the baking soda in there it was a little on the salty side more than my liking.

So good! Nervous to try; only made granola once and it was a disaster from a woman know for "pioneering" recipes. Can't afford to throw out food, had to keep adding more ingredients to make edible. Really made me angry! So I read all your reviews first. Love how versatile your recipe is. Hate coconut so used pecans, walnuts, almonds, dried pineapple and apricots and of course oats. Used up maple flavored margarine instead of butter, thought might be too sweet so only added 1/4  cup honey. Appreciate food science of baking soda in this. It came out fabulous even though I burned it a little, more brown than golden. Still yummy. Can't wait to try again with other fruits, nuts. Thanks!!!

I've tried a lot of Granola recipes and this one has changed my world!  I didn't skimp on anything, added dried cherries, cranberries, and raisins.   I eat this as is, with chocolate chips, and in my yogurt.   Thank you for sharing this recipe!!

I’ve made this recipe for a couple years now and finally wanted to thank you for it. It has become my GoTo granola. My Son in law requests it for hunting trips, my college granddaughters NEED it for their dorms and my husband has it EVERY morning with berries and yogurt. Homemade Granola Recipe

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.  Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together honey, oil, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.

Gently fold in the oats and the nuts. Spread the mixture onto the baking sheet.  Bake for 35 to 45 minutes rotating the baking sheet half way though baking.

Starting from when you rotate the pan (around 18 minutes), keep a very close eye on your granola. Check on it every few minutes, especially as you start to smell it more. It can burn very quickly. As it starts to turn golden around the edges, it will need only a few minutes more.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Allow to cool for an hour. Break apart the granola and mix in the dried fruit. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
