These healthy brownies have it all – the luscious fudgy texture, the intense chocolate flavour and they’re easy to make! Plus, they’re gluten, grain and dairy free, as well as paleo.

Super Fudgy Healthy Brownies (Gluten Free, Grain Free, Dairy Free, Paleo)

oz (125 g) 80%+ dark chocolate, chopped

(50 g) coconut oil, softened at room temperature ((but not melted))

eggs, room temperature

almond flour

(30 g) cocoa powder

salt

dark chocolate chunks and chips ((optional))

Pre-heat the oven to 355 ºF (180 ºC) and line an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with greaseproof/baking paper.

In a heat-proof bowl above a pot of simmering water, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together. Set aside.

Using a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, or a hand mixer with the double beater attachments, whisk the eggs and coconut sugar until pale, fluffy and tripled in volume. This will take about 5 - 7 minutes.

Slowly drizzle in the melted chocolate while whisking on low speed. Whisk until the chocolate is fully incorporated.

Sift the almond flour, cocoa powder and salt into the egg-chocolate mixture, and gently fold in the dry ingredients (using a spatula) until no clumps remain.

Stir most of the chocolate chunks and chips into the brownie batter, then transfer the batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth out the top, and sprinkle over the rest of the chocolate chunks and chips.

Bake in the pre-heated oven at 355 ºF (180 ºC) for 18 - 20 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached (for fudgy brownies) or even with some half-baked batter attached (for gooey brownies).

Serve the brownies either still warm or once cooled.

The healthy brownies keep well in a cool dry place in a closed container for 3 - 4 days.

Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper so that two sides overhang like handles. Lightly coat with nonstick spray.

In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade, place the avocado, eggs, coconut sugar, maple syrup, butter, and vanilla. Process until it’s completely smooth and combined, stopping to scrape down the bowl a few times as needed so that no chunks of avocado remain.

To the food processor, add the cocoa powder, almond flour, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt. Process until smooth. Add 1/4 cup chocolate chips and pulse a few times so that the chips are roughly incorporated.

Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle over the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out mostly clean with just a few moist crumbs clinging to it. Place the pan on a wire cooling rack and let the brownies cool for 30 minutes. With the parchment paper handles, lift the brownies from the pan and place them on the rack to cool completely. If time allows, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. (I find that these taste their best and fudgiest the next day.) Slice and serve.

Healthy Brownies With Dark Chocolate & Avocado

all-purpose flour

These super fudgy and moist brownies are made with just cocoa powder and bananas! No flour, butter, eggs or additional sugar needed.

2 Ingredient Healthy Brownies

overripe bananas

tbsp coconut oil (melted)

unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Mash bananas until they become a puree consistency and no banana chunks remain. You can mash by hand with a fork or spoon or use a blender or food processor. Whisk in the cocoa powder until a smooth batter forms.

Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Use spatula to spread the batter evenly across the pan. Tap the bottom of the pan a few times against your counter to remove any air bubbles.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes. When the brownies are done, the surface should look dry and dark in color and the center should not be jiggly. However, the center should also not be completely set (i.e., a toothpick inserted will come up wet and if you press your finger gently on the surface you should feel that the center is still soft). Let brownies cool in pan. Then place into the fridge for 1-2 hours or until brownies are firm enough to cut.

To make the frosting, add oil and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth and completely combined. Your mixture should look like melted chocolate. Add in maple syrup. (Do not add maple syrup until the end. The maple syrup will thicken the mixture. If you add it with the other ingredients, it will make it very difficult to mix.) Whisk until smooth frosting forms. Spread frosting over the surface of brownies after they are set.

Preheat oven to 375F and line an 8&#215;8 baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large food processor, puree mashed sweet potato.

Add in cacao powder, nut/coconut butter, coconut oil, flaxseed eggs, coconut/cassava flour, maple syrup, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until smooth.

Pour batter into baking pan and place in the oven.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Flourless Zucchini Brownies 

Nonstick cooking spray

almond meal (such

unprocessed raw honey

(2 1/2 oz total) grated zucchini (not squeezed)

chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Prepare a nonstick 9 x 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Cut a sheet of parchment paper about 9 inches wide, and long enough to form a sling so you can easily remove the brownies once cooked. Place into the baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk the egg whites.

In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Add the zucchini and egg whites and stir with a spatula. Add the honey and vanilla and stir with the spatula until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let cool about 30 minutes. Cut into 12 squares and serve.

Flourless Chocolate Zucchini Brownies are so decadent, with no oil or butter in them!

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a square baking dish (I used 8&#8243;x8&#8243;).

Combine all ingredients into a food processor or a blender, and blend until smooth (about 1 minute).

Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 9 large squares. YAHM.

These were not good.  I am highly disappointed.  My entire family hated them and spat them out.

These absolutely need some more sweetener, but the consistency is pretty right on, so thanks for the recipe. I made one batch exactly as directed, tasted them, and threw them straight in the compost bin. I'm guessing everyone who is saying they are delicious are diet ladies who never eat anything sweet. I tried a second batch with some agave, chocolate chips and a little almond flour and those were much better. I'll gladly double my calories on a 50 cal brownie to have it taste a little bit sweet.

Well I ate one warm with halo top ice cream and I managed to get through it.  Everyone else in my family was a “no thanks”.  I’d probably eat them again myself but the yogurt gave them a sort of sour taste and there was a bit of diet aftertaste from the sweetener.  Mine came out to 45 calories each.  There are definitely I rely days when a mediocre brownie that’s super low in calories is a gamble worth taking.

Brownies weren't bad. I don't see the point of the egg and baking powder as the brownies don't expand. You can substitute an egg white for lower calories.

Also, half a cup of cocoa powder and oats, jesus, someone likes going to the bathroom.

I was pleasantly surprised at the texture and taste. I baked in a 6x8 pan so my brownies wouldn't be thin and put my 1/4 cup chips on top of brownies as soon as they came out of the oven. I spread melted chips with knife to give myself an iced brownie.

The batter was VERY liquid, recipe says 15 mins in the oven and they took closer to 45mins before a knife came out clean not sure what happened there maybe my yogurt was tooooo liquid, the taste was alright but texture wasnt really there.

Loved these! Instead of normal tangy greek yogurt I used Okios Triple Zero Vanilla and instead of Truvia baking blend I used 1/2 cup Erythritol. All the substitutions worked out great (the whole recipe is about 400 cal and 38 grams of protein)!!!

Healthy Greek Yogurt Brownies

almond flour (or oat four*)

sea salt

bittersweet chocolate, chopped ((4 oz))

TBS butter (or coconut oil, melted)

sugar

Vanilla Greek yogurt**

chocolate chips (to mix in)

½ cup 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped

heavy cream (or coconut cream, or half & half)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees grease a 9x9” baking pan and set aside.

Mix almond flour, cocoa powder and sea salt in a small bowl; set aside.

Melt chocolate &amp; coconut oil/butter together in the microwave. Mix until completely melted.

Mix in sugar, Greek yogurt and vanilla.

Mix in eggs, one at a time until the batter is completely smooth.

Add dry ingredients, whisk until just incorporated.

Add chocolate chips!

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the top is just barely set and the edges are slightly pulling away from the sides of the pan. (20 = gooier brownies)

When brownies are finished baking, place the pan on a wire rack and cool.

While the brownies are baking, make the ganache.

Add heavy cream to a small saucepan and warm over medium-high heat until it just begins to bubble. Do NOT let it boil.

Turn off heat and whisk in chopped chocolate and vanilla until the mixture is dark and smooth.

Remove from warm burner and let cool slightly. The ganache thickens as it cools.

Make the Ganache:

Once the ganache is slightly cooled, pour it over your cooling brownies.

Let the ganache firm up at room temperature or place in the refrigerator to speed up the process.

Remove from refrigerator, cut and serve at room temperature, or serve cold!

We made these high-protein hemp seed brownies with black beans, peanut butter, and chia seeds. They're vegan and sugar-free, yet so chocolaty and fudgy.

High-Protein Hemp Brownies

Pitted Dates

tbsp of Chia Seeds

Water

Dark Chocolate 85%

480 g of Canned Black Beans

120 mL of Oat Milk (or hemp, soy, almond)

Vanilla Extract

Peanut Butter

Cocoa

Baking Powder

Shelled Hemp Seeds

Soak the dates in a bowl of hot water for 15 minutes and then drain them. In another bowl, mix chia seeds with the given water and let them soak for 10 minutes.

Blitz the dates, black beans, oat milk, and vanilla extract in a blender until creamy.

Combine the bean dough with chia seeds, peanut butter, cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Then, stir in melted chocolate and hemp seeds.

Transfer the brownie dough into a 20 cm (8 inches) square baking tin lined with parchment paper.

Bake the slab for 35 minutes at 200°C (390°F) and let it cool down completely before cutting it into squares.
