These Turkey Burgers are juicy, flavorful and so easy to make. Cook these homemade turkey burgers on the grill, on the stove or in the oven. Then load them up with your favorite toppings and devour!

Turkey Burger Recipe

egg (lightly beaten)

onion

parsley

garlic (minced)

Worcestershire sauce (optional)

salt

pepper

turkey

olive oil

burger buns, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado

Place egg, onion, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix with a fork to combine.

Add the ground turkey to the bowl and mix gently with the fork until just combined, being careful to not overwork the meat.

Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into patties that are about 1/2-inch thick. (See the trick in the post above for an easy way to shape round patties.) Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each patty to keep the burgers from doming up in the center.

Freeze turkey burger patties for 20 minutes to help them hold together on the grill.

Meanwhile, heat an outdoor grill with clean grill grates to medium-high heat. Oil the grill grates well to keep the burgers from sticking.

Cook burgers about 5 minutes per side until cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Do not flip the burgers too early when cooking on the first side or they may fall apart.

To Cook Turkey Burgers on the Grill:

Heat a grill pan or skillet, such as a cast iron skillet, over medium heat. Add about 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan and spread it around.

When the pan is hot, place the turkey burger patties in the pan. Cook about 5 minutes per side, until cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. The burgers should release fairly easily from the pan when they are ready to flip to the second side.

To Cook Turkey Burgers on the Stove:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and place turkey burger patties on the pan.

Bake for about 20 minutes, flipping once after 10 minutes. Turkey burgers are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

The Juiciest Turkey Burgers

lb turkey (93/7)

salt & pepper (to taste)

poultry seasoning

milk

butter

American cheese

any other burger toppings: pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, etc (as desired)

sesame burger buns

Place turkey into a large bowl with egg, salt, pepper, parsley, poultry seasoning and milk. Stir to combine. {Mixture may seem a little wet, but once it starts cooking, the egg will help hold it's shape together.}

Preheat indoor griddle to medium-medium high heat.

Divide meat into 4 even patties. Cut butter into skinny half tablespoon pats. Press butter into the center of each patty forming the meat around it.

Spray griddle pan with nonstick cooking spray and place each burger down onto the griddle. Cook about 4 minutes per side or until browned and completely cooked. Feel free to melt cheese on top of each burger. {Place cheese onto cooked side of the burger and cover with a large pot lid or foil for 1 minute to melt cheese.}

Remove burgers and place onto buns. Top with any desired toppings and condiments and serve.

Thai Turkey Burgers infused with lemongrass, ginger and basil, served with a Crunchy Asian Slaw and Spicy Aioli. Serve this on a tasty bun, in a lettuce wrap or over grains and greens for healthy bowl.

Thai Turkey Burgers with Crunchy Asian Slaw 

lb turkey

½ teaspoon fresh grated, or chopped ginger

garlic cloves-

lemongrass

basil

lime zest

scallion, chopped

fish sauce (or sub soy sauce)

sugar

pepper–

carrots

purple cabbage

scallion, thinly sliced

lime juice

salt and pepper

mayo, vegan mayo or tarter sauce

sriracha or chili garlic sauce

Preheat grill to medium-high. ( see notes to pan-sear)

Combine all the burger ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well using hands. With wet hands, shape into 3 burgers, 1-inch thick. Place on a plate in the fridge.

Toss the slaw ingredients together in a medium bowl.

Mix the spicy aioli ingredients together in a small bowl.

Grill patties on a well-greased, pre-heated grill 4-5 minutes each side until golden and cooked through.

Spread aioli on the bottom bun, top with the patty, then the slaw, cucumber ribbons (optional) , more aioli, then the top bun. Enjoy!!

My family loved this recipe!  That says a lot because my husband is a real red meat guy and I just didn't mention what we would be having for dinner before we actually sat down and ate. I never rate recipes but I don't like turkey burgers...this was AMAZING!! I've sent the recipe to all my friends and insist that they make it...I took me forever to prep because I didn't know how to cut lemongrass or julienne carrots...but it was so worth it. next time I anticipate it going much faster but ahhh so good!! Make it and don't leave any ingredients out! I can't eat Thai food because of the cross contamination with my nut allergy and I was so excited to try this because it tasted exactly like all the aromas from my husband's thai dishes!!

This was a really delicious way to use turkey burger. I didn't have lemon grass so I substituted lemon zest. They turned out great! I'm excited to eat the left overs for lunch. I have a feeling they will taste even better the next day 😁

SO good and packs an awesome punch. I made this with both turkey and a separate batch with beyond meat for my boyfriend (he LOVED it). We almost went without the sriracha mayo and SO glad we didn’t skip it. Once you have the more obscure ingredients (I would try not to sub things out if you can - it’s perfect with these exact flavors) it’s so simple with the best flavors. There used to be a restaurant in my neighborhood with an amazing turkey burger. Ever since it closed two years ago I’ve been looking for a good turkey burger, and this is better. It’s great as is, but I’d recommend using sesame instead of olive oil. Also, a slice of grilled pineapple is killer!

I followed this recipe subsituting chicken for beef. Result was simply delicious. Among the best burgers I havet ever eaten, and the best I ever made.

We had these last night and WOW were they delicious! All three components worked beautifully together.  There were no leftovers (which was rather sad today...), but a definite reflection of how much my family loved these burgers.

THIS IS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!! And trust me, I LOVE food and fine dining. This is Sylvia’s third recipe I’ve tried and my mouth is watering just thinking about the incredible food I made last night. These were unbelievably delicious! I can’t even describe. MAKE IT NOW!!!!!!!!! 

I used brioche buns from Trader Joe’s and grilled them on both sides. I also made homemade mayonnaise with Tapatio hot sauce, and spread that on the bun, put the burger on then added more mayo, put the coleslaw then added the other bun with the mayo spread on that. I forgot to add the cucumber and I also purposefully didn’t add any sugar. It was INCREDIBLE. Wow wow WOW!!! This recipe as well as the other recipes on here have upped my game. I feel like a chef. Can’t wait to make more of these recipes! The miso mushroom bowl is up next!!!!

These Turkey Burgers have tons of flavor and are quick to make. They're a healthy and delicious option for a weeknight meal!

Turkey Burgers with Feta and Basil

feta cheese crumbles

tbsp packed chopped fresh basil

tsp worcestershire sauce

tsp salt*

tsp black pepper

hamburger buns

garlic fries

zucchini salad

Gently mix together the ground turkey, feta crumbles, chopped basil, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper with your fingertips. Make sure not to overwork the meat, but rather to think of distributing the ingredients evenly.&nbsp;

Form the meat mixture into 4 patties, keeping in mind that the burger will shrink up during cooking. For this reason, I usually make them flatter than I ultimately want, and a little bit wider than the bun. Don’t make the patties too thick or they’ll take too long to cook.

To cook on the stove, heat up a cast iron skillet over medium high heat for a couple minutes. Once the pan is hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 3 minutes on each side. Time will vary depending on how hot your pan is and how thick your patties are, but you want the center of the turkey burger to read at 165 degrees F. If you find that the burgers are browning too much before the interior is cooking through, you can put a lid on the pan, or pop the burgers into a hot oven for a few minutes to finish cooking.&nbsp;

You may also grill the burgers either on an indoor or outdoor grill. About 3 minutes on each side as well, depending on how intense the heat is. Check for doneness using a thermometer, aiming for 165F.

Serve the turkey burgers with any accompaniments you want, and enjoy!

In a large bowl add ground turkey, almond flour, dried parsley, red onion, garlic and black pepper.

Next Level Turkey Burgers with Caramelized Onions and Aioli

sesame seed or onion hamburger rolls

turkey (93% lean)

kosher salt

garlic powder

mayonnaise

eggs, beaten

Garlic Aioli:

garlic

dijon mustard

Worcestershire sauce

Onions:

Start the caramelized onions by adding the butter and oil to a large skillet over medium low heat. Once the butter is melted add the onions and stir to coat in the butter and oil.

Season the onions with the salt and pepper and cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring often so that the onions don&#8217;t burn. The onions are done when they are golden brown and caramelized. Add the onions to a bowl and cover until ready to use.

While the onions are cooking you can make the aioli by adding all the ingredients to a small bowl and stirring to combine. Let the aioli sit at room temperature until you&#8217;re ready to add it to the turkey burgers.

Mix the ingredients together for the turkey burgers and divide into 6 large or 8 smaller patties. Spray a large skillet with non stick cooking pray and cook the turkey burgers over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side until the turkey is no longer pink inside.

Serve the burgers by adding a patty to each bun, topping with the garlic aioli and then with some caramelized onions.

OM friggin G!!!!! All hail turkey burger god! Listen, you killed this recipe! I have never had a juicier turkey burger than the one that I made, following your recipe, this past Friday night. I wanted to slap myself and then you because it is the absolute BOMB! (I wouldn’t really slap you it’s just a saying that we say when something taste that good..lol) I can’t wait to make it again. I toasted the bun on my grill for my son and placed the aioli on it with Romain lettuce and provolone cheese and the onions and gave it to my fussy son and then I waited for his reaction. He took a bite and then looked at me, nodded his head and gave me a high five! Lol! I’m doing keto so I had mine on top of the romaine lettuce and each bite was better than the first. I will forever be using your recipe as it is hands down pure perfection. Not one thing wouldn’t add or take anything away from it. Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!!

Looks could kill when I said turkey burgers were for dinner. Luckily, my husband &amp; I had just made up after a “discussion” so he wasn’t going to argue -and I promised my boys Freddy’s if it all went to hell on the grill. This was my first go ever at a turkey burger (never had one either) so I was skeptical as I was forming the patties...first bites &amp; a chorus of “umm-hmm” erupted with wide eyes &amp; nodding heads. 8 turkey burger converts: hallelujah!

This was delicious!! Followed the recipe exactly, only issue I had was it was VERY wet and I had a hard time shaping them.  I sprayed cooking spray on my hands as you suggest, but still hard to form the burger.
This however will not deter me from making them again because they were delicious!!
Any suggestions for forming burger would be helpful.

I am also skeptical when making turkey burgers, always worried they will taste dry and boring.  These were awesome!!!  Question, I am doing beach body with low healthy fats (not mayo), would you try making these with Greek yogurt as a substitute for the mayo?  Thank you for sharing!

I did these on the foreman grill and was probably a little light of 2lb on the turkey, so mine were VERY wet.  The first batch I just lumped on there as best as I could and the 2nd batch I just used a cooking spoon to lump em on like you would a pancake and both turned out great.  Not sure if it was just the onions and aioli or the actual burger itself but whatever it was this was a winner - delicious!

Air Fryer Turkey Burgers

turkey chicken

bread crumbs

green onions (chopped)

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.

Gently form 4 equal size burger patties.

Preheat Air Fryer to 360 degrees.  Place burgers in basket and cook for 8 minutes.

Turn and cook an additional 6-8 minutes or until burgers reach 165 degrees internally.

Serve with or without a bun and all your favorite burger condiments!
