Step 1
In a shallow bowl, combine the egg and the lemon juice.

In another shallow bowl, combine the flour, the cornmeal, the Cajun seasoning, the garlic powder, and the salt.

Dip the catfish fillets into the egg mixture and then into the cornmeal mixture.
Step 4
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
Step 5
Fry the fish, two at a time, just until the fillets begin to flake easily with a fork and it reaches 145 degrees F internally, about 5-6 minutes per side.
