Heat oil in large frying pan on medium heat.

Add rice and cook until golden brown.

Add 1 chicken flavored bouillon cube to 4 cups water and microwave for 3 minutes.

When rice is brown, add water, tomato sauce, salt, garlic, cumin and garlic pepper to pan.

Stir and cover pan. Let simmer for 30-40 minutes or until all is cooked and there is no liquid left. Fluff before serving and ENJOY.

Set a medium saucepot over medium heat. Add the butter to the pot. Once melted, add the rice, ground cumin, and 1 teaspoon salt.

Sauté the rice for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat all the grains in melted butter.

Add the salsa to the pot. Then fill the salsa jar with water and pour the water into the pot. Stir well.

Cover the top with a tight lid. Bring to a boil. Then stir the rice, lower the heat to simmer on low, and cover the pot again.

Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir the rice again to make sure it doesn&#039;t stick to the bottom of the pot. Then cover and simmer another 5-10 minutes until the liquid has absorbed and there are vent holes in the top of the rice.

Remove the pot from heat and allow the rice to sit and steam another 5 minutes. Then fluff with a fork and serve warm.

This restaurant-style Spanish Rice is easily made right at home using the Instant Pot. Loaded with the authentic flavor of your favorite Spanish Rice, this will quickly become a family favorite side dish for just about any meal.

Instant Pot Spanish Rice

Rinse the rice under cool water until the water runs clear. Set aside to dry while preparing the other ingredients.

Toast Rice:  Set the Instant Pot to &#x27;Sauté&#x27; and, using the &#x27;Adjust&#x27; button, set the heat level to &#x27;More&#x27;. Add the oil to the pot and allow it to heat up for a couple of minutes. Add the rice to the pot and toss until it is fully coated in oil. Cook, tossing occasionally, until some of the grains begin to brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Add Onions, Bell Peppers, and Garlic: Add the diced onions and bell peppers, sautéing with the rice until slightly tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Then add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.

Add Chicken Stock, Salsa, and Salt: Turn off the &#x27;Sauté&#x27; function and then add the chicken stock, salsa, and salt to the pot and give everything a gentle stir to combine.

3-Minute Cook Time: Close the Instant Pot, set the pressure release valve to &#x27;Sealing&#x27;, and set the pot to cook on &#x27;Manual&#x27; or &#x27;Pressure Cook&#x27;, &#x27;High Pressure&#x27; for 3 minutes.

10-Minute NPR: Once the 3-minute cooking time has completed, allow for a 10-minute natural pressure release. Release any remaining pressure once the 10-minute NPR has completed.

Fluff the Rice: Once the remaining pressure has been released and the pin has dropped, open the Instant Pot and, using a fork, fluff the rice.

This Spanish vegetable rice is perfect for those days you want to cook something fancy, but don't want to spend hours in the kitchen. It tastes like heaven!

Spanish Vegetable Rice

brown rice (100 g)

Extra virgin olive oil

garlic

red bell pepper

green beans (70 g)

beans

artichokes (70 g)

tomato

tsp sweet paprika

rosemary

thyme

tsp turmeric

Cook the rice according to package directions.

Heat some oil in a large skillet and cook the garlic and the red bell pepper for 5 minutes over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally.

Add the green beans, broad beans and artichokes and cook for 10 minutes more.

Add the tomato and cook for another 10 minutes.

Last but not least, add the rice and the rest of the ingredients (except the lemon), stir and cook for 5 minutes.

Serve and add some lemon juice on top (optional).

Rinse Rice

Place rice in a colander and rinse really well.

Heat Instant Pot

Turn Instant Pot to saute and let heat up.

Saute vegetiables

Turn Instant Pot Off

Scrape up Browned Bits

Add in stock and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom of the inner pot.

Add remaining ingredients to Instant Pot

Add in seasonings and stir well. Add in rice and gently push down with a spoon to submerge in stock. Top with tomato sauce.

Seal Instant Pot

Place lid on the Instant Pot and be sure vent knob is pointed to sealed.

Cook Rice

Cook on HIGH pressure for 3 minutes for long-grain white rice, and  22 minutes for long-grain brown rice.

Release Pressure

Let pressure release naturally all the way.

Fluff Rice

Remove lid and fluff rice with a fork, while stirring in the tomato sauce.

Stir in Butter

3.75 oz King Oscar's Brisling Sardines in Zesty Tomato Sauce

Set the Instant Pot to its Sauté&nbsp;mode. When your Instant Pot is hot, add the oil.&nbsp;Then, add the sliced garlic, diced onion, and diced bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes; stir often to prevent the garlic from burning.&nbsp;

Add the uncooked rice and stir to coat the rice in oil, mixing it well with the onion, garlic, and pepper. Transfer the vegetable broth,&nbsp;crushed tomatoes and chiles, and spices to the Instant Pot. Stir everything well to combine the ingredients.

Turn the&nbsp;Sauté function off by clicking on the Keep Warm/Cancel button.&nbsp;Place and secure/lock the lid on your Instant Pot and ensure that the pressure knob is set to the Sealing position.  

Click on the Manual button and set the Instant Pot to cook, on High Pressure, for 8 minutes. Once the 8 minutes is up and your Instant Pot starts to beep, it will start its natural release process. Let it naturally release for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, carefully move the pressure knob from sealing to venting for a quick release. Steam will spit out of the valve, so be careful. Once the steam has fully released, it's safe to remove the Instant Pot lid.

Fluff the rice with a fork. Finally, transfer the contents of the brisling sardines in tomato sauce into the Instant Pot. With a large spoon or spatula, break the sardines down into chunks and stir into the rice.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve.

MOMMA'S SPANISH RICE RECIPE

beef

(15 tomato sauce

green pepper (diced)

yellow onion, (diced)

salt and pepper, (to taste)

cheddar cheese (optional)

white rice (prepared)

In a large stock pot, add ground beef, green peppers and onion over medium high heat. Add a dash of salt and pepper to mixture.

Cook until ground beef is brown and crumbled and veggies are tender. Drain excess grease.

Put ground beef mixture back into stock pot. Add prepared rice and can of tomato sauce.

Stir until thoroughly combined and heated through. Taste and check for seasonings at this point.

Turn off heat and add cheese (if using) until melted.

Stir mixture to combine and serve.
