Boil spinach and artichokes in 1 cup of water until tender and drain. Discard liquid. Heat cream cheese in microwave for 1 minute or until hot and soft. Stir in rest of ingredients and serve hot.

I see a LOT of whining about how "bland" this is. But it's easily customizable. I add a teaspoon each of garlic powder, crushed rosemary, black pepper, crushed red pepper, Italian seasoning and a few tablespoons of grated onion. Sometimes I use a full cup of parmesan-romano cheese. Sometimes I top the dip with sliced almonds, which gives it a toasty, nutty crunch. When you consider the over-salted tortilla chips, pita chips and other delightful conveyances for this creamy dip, it's probably best to leave it somewhat "bland" and let people "doctor it up" to their own tastes. One of my all-time faves! For an interesting twist, try stuffing this dip into butterflied chicken breasts and baking it. YUM!!! :)

Good base recipe. I sauteed the spinach and artichokes with butter, red onion, minced garlic. Seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Adding this to the sour cream, Parmesan, mayo and cream cheese. I also added bacon and topped with cheddar Jack cheese and baked it. Yummy served in a bread bowl. 

Easy and delicious. Followed the recipe with two exceptions. Following the readers advice, I used one jar of marinated artichoke hearts. I left out the salt.

I wanted to use up fresh spinach, so I just chopped it, simmered it until it was completely wilted, then strained it well and mixed it into the dip. Imo it tasted just as good, if not better than the frozen. Served with pecan nut-thins, it was amazing :)

Simple, easy, and perfect.  I have made this multiple times, it's a hit every time.  I'm usually a cook that experiments, but I just don't see any reason to change this recipe at all.  It is perfect as is.  I do usually use shredded parmesan as opposed to grated though.

Ive made this recipe a few times now. I find its best with canned artichokes, frozen spinach, and ground red pepper flakes. It's absolutely delicious!!

Perfect proportions!  One FYI; if you're making it hours in advance, pulse the spinach and artichoke hearts in a processor then just throw it all in a crock pot on high and stir it once about 15 minutes later then turn it to low.  The veggies cook right in the mixture.  No need for that added step.  Recipe is good for about 10 people.  

Couldn't find frozen artichoke hearts, but used canned ones and still turned out great.

Spinach Dip Recipe

oz frozen chopped spinach (1 package)

mayonnaise or dressing (low fat

sour cream (or Greek yogurt)

dry vegetable soup mix (1.4 oz)

water chestnuts (canned, drained)

green onions (chopped)

Defrost spinach overnight in the fridge or in the microwave. Squeeze dry.

Chop water chestnuts and combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours prior to serving

Serve with bread, crackers or vegetables for dipping.

Baked Biscuit Wreath Dip

Turned out great.  My daughter-in-law liked it so much last Christmas that I'm making it again.

I used the pillsbury crescent rolls. 2 packs. Makes 16 small rolls. I would have preferred homemade rolls but I didn’t have time to make them. I cut back a little on the spinach and added some artichoke hearts to blance the mix and used cream cheese instead of ricotta as someone else suggested. These were a HIT! Amazing recipe and it can be tweaked to fit your liking.

I usually just use scissors to cut the individual biscuits & then just roll them into a ball in the palm of my hand. Such a beautiful presentation & so delicious!

Made for a holiday gathering. Excellent !!!

Simple Spinach Yogurt Dip

spinach

greek yogurt

walnuts (crushed)

Blanch the spinach until it is wilted then drain well. Finely chop the spinach leaves.

Sauté the garlic with the oil over medium-low heat. Add the spinach and stir for a few minutes. This allows more water to evaporate as you don't want it to be too mushy.

Let it cool off for a few minutes, then squeeze out any excess water.

Mix the greek yogurt with the spinach. When ready to serve this spinach dip, sprinkle with dried mint and crushed walnuts and drizzle a bit of olive oil. Add toasted pita bread. Enjoy!You can refrigerate for up to 3 days in an airtight container.

SPINACH DIP

This hot spinach dip is a blend of cooked spinach, three types of cheese and seasonings, all baked together to melted cheesy perfection. An easy make-ahead party snack that's sure to be a crowd pleaser.

cream cheese (softened)

spinach leaves

pepper

parmesan cheese

mozzarella cheese (divided use)

parsley

bread, crackers and vegetables

cooking spray

Steam or saute the spinach until wilted. Let cool, then wring out all the excess water. Coarsely chop the spinach.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a small baking dish or skillet with cooking spray.

Place the cream cheese, sour cream, cooked spinach, garlic, salt, pepper, parmesan cheese and 3/4 cup of the mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Stir until well combined.

Spread the spinach mixture into the prepared dish. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes or until dip is bubbly and cheese is melted. Turn the oven to broil and cook for 2-3 more minutes or until cheese starts to brown.&nbsp;

Sprinkle with chopped parsley then serve with bread, crackers and vegetables.

Thaw the spinach. Then use a strainer to squeeze out as much moisture as possible.

Mince the shallot. Thinly slice the green onions.

In a medium bowl, mix together the spinach, shallot and green onions with Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, dried dill, garlic powder (more or less, depending on your garlic taste), salt and pepper. Taste and add a few pinches kosher salt. Serve immediately with pita chips, or chill until serving.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 baking dish (or similar size) with cooking spray, then set aside.

In a large bowl, blend together sour cream and cream cheese until thick and smooth.

Add spinach, Monterey jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, dried chopped onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to bowl, then stir until thoroughly combined.

Transfer spinach dip to parepared baking dish and smooth it out to an even layer.

Bake spinach dip for 10 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.

Serve spinach dip immediately with cut french bread for dipping.

Spinach Artichoke Wonton Bites

garlic (minced)

oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese (softened)

fat free sour cream

Mozzarella cheese

artichoke hearts (canned without oil, diced)

wonton wrappers

Pre-heat the oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly mist the paper with cooking spray.

Lightly mist a large skillet with cooking spray and bring to medium heat. Add the spinach and cook for a couple minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is wilted, Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until garlic is fragrant.

Transfer the spinach and garlic to a mixing bowl and add the cream cheese, sour cream, Mozzarella, artichoke hearts, parmesan, pepper and red pepper flakes. Stir until well combined.

Fill a small dish with water and set it beside you on a clean, dry work surface (like a cutting mat). Lay a wonton wrapper on the mat. Scoop a tablespoon of the spinach artichoke mixture into the center of the wonton wrapper.

Dip your finger into the dish of water and run it along the entire outside edge of the wonton wrapper, corner to corner, creating a square of wet around the edge of the wrapper. Gather the four corners of the wrapper and bring them to the center, pressing them together. Use your fingers to press together all the edges of the wonton wrapper to seal the wonton bite closed. Place the finished bite onto the prepared baking sheet from step 1. Repeat with remaining ingredients to create 20 wonton bites. Mist the tops of the bites with cooking spray.

Place into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the X at the top of the wonton bites are golden. Serve warm.
