Ajdovo moko poparimo z vrelo vodo, premešamo in pustimo, da se ohladi na sobno temperaturo. Medtem v ponvi suho prepražimo orehe. Beli moki primešamo kvas in sol in dodamo ohlajeni ajdovi moki. Prilijemo mlačno vodo in olje ter z električnim mešalnikom zgnetemo; ne gnetemo predolgo, da masa ne postane lepljiva. Malo pomokamo in pustimo, da vzhaja na dvojno količino. Dodamo prepražene orehe, premešamo, prenesemo na s peki papirjem obložen pekač, pustimo vzhajati, da hlebček naraste za polovico. Pečemo na 190 stopinjah cca. 40 minut (čas peke in temperatura sta odvisna od vrste pečice). Pečen hlebček zavijemo v suho krpo.
