Cucumber Cream Cheese Toasts Appetizer

baguette, sliced

cucumbers, sliced ((peeling is optional))

cream cheese (at room temp.)

mayonnaise

Italian dressing mix*

tbsp dill (fresh

Cut baguette into no more than 1/2-inch thick slices. If you want to toast the bread ahead of time (not necessary but delicious!), toast your baguette slices in an oven set to broil or 500 F for about five minutes, or until lightly golden.

In a large bowl, mix your cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Italian season until everything is well-incorporated

Spread about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mix onto each piece of baguette. If you bake the baguette first, let it cool before adding the cream cheese mix.

Add a slice of cucumber to each piece, and finish with a generous sprinkling of dill on the bread/cucumber/cream cheese combo.

Serve and enjoy!Keep leftovers in the fridge.

This Classic Cheese Ball recipe makes the perfect party appetizer. A cheese ball made with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, green onion and spices, and coated in chopped pecans.

Classic Cheeseball

cream cheese (, softened)

cheddar cheese ((avoid pre-shredded cheese))

green onion (, chopped)

Worcestershire sauce

hot pepper sauce

parsley flakes

garlic powder

oregano leaves

black pepper

pecans (, finely chopped)

Place cream cheese in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Add cheese, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, parley, garlic powder, oregano and pepper and mix well to combine.&nbsp;

Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl and gather the mixture into one lump. Lightly grease your hands and form the mixture into a round ball. 

Place the pecans on a plate. Hold the cheese ball in one hand and use the other hand to scoop the pecans onto the outside of the ball, pressing them in gently and turning the ball to coat all sides. 

Cover the cheeseball in cling wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour to allow it to firm up.  Take it out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving to allow it to soften just slightly.  Serve with crackers, pretzels, vegetables or anything else you&#x27;d love to dip in cheese!

This cheese ball has all the flavors of a jalapeno popper and makes a great party appetizer.

Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball

Slices of Bacon, cooked & chopped

Cup Green Onions, sliced

Jalapenos

8 oz Cream Cheese Blocks (softened)

Cup Sour Cream

Cups Cheddar Cheese, freshly shredded (divided)

tsp Garlic Powder

tsp Onion Powder

Salt

Cook the bacon until it is crispy. Place on a paper towel lined plate or on a cooling rack over a pan to drain and cool. Once cool, chop the bacon. Place half in an airtight container and refrigerate until later. Set the other half aside for now.

Slice the green onions. Dice the jalapenos &#8211; be sure to remove the seeds unless you like it extra spicy. Place half of each together in an airtight container and store in the fridge.

Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer to beat the cream cheese and sour cream together with the salt and garlic and onion powder until smooth.

Add the jalapenos, bacon, and green onion we set aside as well as 1.5 cups of the cheddar cheese. Mix on low until just combined.

Lay down some plastic wrap on your counter and spoon in the cheese ball mixture. Wrap it up, carefully forming it into a ball shape. Store in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

Remove the cheese ball from your refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving time.  Place the reserved bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions in a single layer on a plate or cutting board. Unwrap the cheese ball and gently roll it into the toppings until it is covered.

Serve with a butter or cheese knife and crackers.

This was a huge hit at our football party! Will definitely make again.

This a great recipe!! I did use the cheat of buying the premade empanada discs.

Thanks so much for the recipe! Liked that it was mainly tasty beef and cheese - even my picky eater at home enjoyed these! Never thought I'd be able to make empanadas from scratch :) Didn't have tomato paste but I added a bit more oregano and garlic powder to taste. Soo delicious!

Never made dough from scratch but it was super easy. I forgot the cheese ( I know how does someone forget the cheese) but added it on top before the oven. Came out very tasty

This was the worse online recipe ive ever used. The dough was soup. I had to add 5 more cups of flour. 

I had just enough butter or I would have thrown it away and looked for anither recipe.

These where so good! I was out of oregano but I used dried parsley and they were still great!!! I also added some chili powder to my meat.

I used a 3-inch biscuit cutter so there wasn't much room for filling.  Next time I will cut the circles much bigger so I can have more filling.  The filling was good, we just wanted more.  I also cut the jalapenos to 1/4 cup to cut down on the spiciness.

ok, for those wondering how to actually do this..
I used 2 fresh diced jalapenos with the seeds removed. add about 1 tbsp of the mixture to the wonton and wrap around it. use a little water to keep the folds together.

Very good! I got the recipe from the actual cook book, which calls for 2 jalapeños finely chopped.

Rating it a 1 because the written recipe is not only incomplete but COMPLETELY different than the video. It has no jalepenos and the video has dough, not wonton wrappers. Maybe post the correct recipe and video next time.

I made these out of the cookbook and they are tasty. Not quite as spicy as I hoped so I may serve with hot sauce. The photos on this post are of a similar recipe using crescent rolls. The photos in the cookbook are more accurate. Overall will make again.

No Mayo Deviled Eggs

plain Greek yogurt

white vinegar

yellow mustard

salt

sugar

Paprika

Chives, chopped (optional)

Place the yolks from the hard boiled eggs in the bowl of a food processor. Add remaining ingredients (Greek yogurt through sugar) and process until smooth.

Scoop or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg whites, filling each one evenly. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika and some chives, if desired.

Devilled eggs are ALWAYS a hit. I love eating them, and they are the first item to fly off the party platter. Using yogurt instead of mayo is a great idea.

I've never been a big mayo fan for the deviled eggs. I need to try the Greek yogurt method. Thanks!

These looked great! I wish I could have yogurt but I can't have dairy/milk products.....So I did everything minus the yogurt and used apple cider vinegar instead of white.... they came out yummy! I live delighted l deviled eggs! ‍♀️

These Slow-Cooker Party Meatballs Will Save You So Much Time, and Get You all the Compliments.

375 g plain flour,

g butter,

garlic, crushed

beef mince

100 g chopped tomatoes

g Cheddar

g Monterey Jack

coriander,

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut butter into flour using your hands or a pastry cutter until pea-sized. Add water and egg and mix until a dough forms. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes.&nbsp;

Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.&nbsp;

Make Dough

Preheat oven to 200°C (180ºC fan) and line two large baking trays with parchment paper.

In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes, then add garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute more. Add beef and cook, breaking meat up with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, 5 minutes. Drain fat.

Return pan to medium heat, and stir tomato paste into beef. Add oregano, cumin, and paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Add tomatoes and jalapeños and cook until warmed through, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Place dough on a lightly floured surface and divide in half.&nbsp; Roll one half out to half centimetre&nbsp;thick. Using an 11cm round cookie cutter, cut out rounds. Repeat with remaining dough. Reroll scraps once to cut out more rounds.&nbsp;

Lightly moisten outer edge of a dough round with water and place about 2 tablespoons filling in centre and top with cheddar and Monterey. Fold dough in half over filling. Use a fork to crimp edges together. Repeat with remaining filling and dough.&nbsp;

Place empanadas on prepared baking trays and brush with egg wash. Bake until golden and filling is warmed through, about 25 minutes.&nbsp;

Garnish with coriander and serve with sour cream.

For Oven

Cheesy Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles

asparagus, woody ends trimmed off

puff pastry, thawed

oz Gruyere cheese, grated

thyme

egg, beaten

salt and black pepper,

Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll puff pastry sheets out and cut each rectangle into 6 squares.

Toss trimmed asparagus in olive oil, thyme, and salt and pepper. Set aside.

On each square of puff pastry, arrange a slice of prosciutto (folded in half if needed), 3-4 spears of asparagus, and about 2 tablespoons of cheese.

Wrap bundle by lifting two opposite corners of the puff pastry and wrapping them around the asparagus. Press to seal.

Brush puff pastry with beaten egg, sprinkle with more salt and pepper, and bake until golden and puffed, 12-15 minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
