This is a great recipe: very easy to follow and it turns out delicious! Can't go wrong!
I always put in a little too much liquid, but it's great, anyway! I serve it over pasta or rice.

Delicious! I added corn and jalapeños, and for the last 30 minutes left it uncovered to thicken up :)

We altered the recipe a bit: 
Eliminated the green pepper, but added (1) zucchini, chopped, (1) yellow squash, chopped, and (1) small bag of spinach, chopped. Upped the tomato paste to a small can (6 oz), and upped the chili powder to 2 tbsp. Upped the meat to 2lbs.
Turns out thick and very colorful.

Great tasting recipe! The ratio of spices is spot on, and using only salt/pepper to cook the ground turkey lets those spices shine through the chili! My only changes were using 2 lbs of ground beef and a full 14.5 can of broth (only because I had extra and didn't want to toss either). I'm thinking of adding corn and maybe some diced jalapeños to give it a little kick next time. :)

Loved it. Since I'm the only one who eats ground turkey,  I halved the recipe and put it in a 4 quart Crockpot  I only used black beans which I happened to have on hand and added a spoonful of chipotle adobo sauce, then after 4 hours, turned it off and added 1/2 cup of frozen corn, letting the residual heat warm it through.

Great recipe, my family loves it.  I added a 16 oz. light beer and some seeded Serrano peppers for a little heat turned out great!

I used diced tomatoes (instead of chopped) and chili beans (instead of kidney beans).

BBQ Lovers: This Pulled Pork Chili Is The Only Chili You'll Ever Make Again

<p>This 30 Minute Spicy Ancho Turkey Chili is super simple to make and includes ground turkey, tomatoes, black beans, and lots of spice.</p>

30 Minute Spicy Ancho Turkey Chili

farro (another grain like brown rice

chicken broth

water, divided

red onion,

can black beans,

ancho chili powder

salt

salsa (works best with a “fresh” salsa brand like Salsa Lisa)

tomatoes

toppings (sour cream, cheese, green onions, tortilla chips)

Bring the chicken broth and 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the farro (or rice or whatever grain you&#8217;re using), cover the pot, and reduce to a simmer for about 30 minutes or until all liquid is evaporated.

While the farro is cooking, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the onions, garlic, and jalapeños and saute for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid burning the garlic. Add the turkey and cook until all the meat is browned and broken apart into &#8220;crumbles&#8221;. Add the black beans, ancho chili powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and salsa and simmer for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes and however much of the remaining 2 cups water that you feel like you need to get the right consistency. Simmer for a few minutes while the farro finishes cooking in a separate pot.

Add the cooked farro to the pot of chili and stir to combine. Top with sour cream, cheese, green onions, and tortilla chips.

Let me start by saying chili is my favorite food, I make it once a month all year round. I've made this chili for 5+ years and it's hands down my favorite recipe. I've brought it to work, parties, etc.. and everyone LOVES it 🙂

Heat the oil in large pot or Dutch oven over moderate heat. Add the onion, celery, poblanos, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft, about 8 minutes. Add the garlic, cumin, coriander and cayenne and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until the meat is no longer pink about 2 minutes. Add the white beans, broth and oregano. Cook, partially covered, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.

Add the hominy and salt and more cayenne pepper, to taste, and continue cooking, partially covered, 10 minutes longer. Ladle into individual bowls and top each serving with 1 tablespoon of yogurt and 1 1/2 teaspoons of cilantro. Garnish with a lime wedge.

I won a chili cook-off tonight with this recipe!!<div>I changed a couple of things: I used half beer and half broth, ground pork AND ground turkey, and dropped 2 smoked ham hocks into the chili.  Cooked on low for an hour and a half beyond the recipe's instruction.  The cilantro, lime juice, and yogurt (or sour cream) as garnish really makes this chili shine!  Thank you!</div>

Good recipe! I added way more spices: onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder an double the spices in the recipe. Also added a bit of flour to thicken it up. Really yummy recipe though. Hominy is my new favorite thing. Such an amazing texture

This is a wonderful chili recipe. You can add to it, adapt it in any way. As long as you stick to the core it will be wonderful. I just made it with shredded leftover Thanksgiving turkey, Yummy!!! Its one more thing to be thankful for this holiday season.

This has now become my go-to chili recipe.  I love it, my kids love it, and it's always getting requests for seconds.  And I never feel overly full after eating!  It just feels like I had a really hearty bowl of chili that also happened to be healthy!

This is absolutely Delicious as is! Just enough heat but, full of flavor. <span>I've never made a white chili and I didn't need to sprinkle cheese on it &amp; the Greek yogurt did enhance the flavor. </span>My mother isn't a fan of turkey but, I dropped her of a taste. She told me it was better than the turkey soups (even though this is a chili) the mothers at our church prepare as the first meal after fasting. I was shocked &amp; pleasantly surprised! My mom doesn't hand out compliments so, thanks for sharing this recipe.

Loved this recipe! I am a skeptic when it comes to healthy recipes, but this one had great flavor and texture. It didn’t even need the Greek yogurt. I did add some cheddar cheese over the top. It gave it the fat I needed. I think it would also be delicious with some fresh avocado!

A delicious, creamy White Bean Turkey Chili recipe made with canned white beans, ground turkey, aromatics and spices – no tomatoes!

White Bean Turkey Chili

olive oil spray

onions

green chilies

chili powder (to your taste)

red pepper flakes (to your taste)

bay leaf

sour cream or Greek yogurt

Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack Cheese (shredded)

Greek yogurt

Heat a large heavy pot or Dutch oven over medium flame. When hot, spray with oil.

Add onions and garlic, saute until soft, about 4 to 5 minutes.

Add the meat and cook, breaking it up until white and cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Add diced green chilies, salt, cumin, oregano, chili powder, red pepper flakes and cook for 2 minutes.

Pure 1 can of beans in the blender with 1 cup of the broth. Add to the pot with the remaining beans, broth and bay leaf and bring to a boil.

Cover and reduce to a simmer, about 30 to 35 minutes mixing occasionally, until thickened and the flavors meld.

Stir in sour cream and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning and salt to taste.

To serve, topped with your favorite toppings.

Slow Cooker directions: To make in the slow cooker, follow steps 1 to 5, reducing the broth to 1 1/2 cups and transfer to the slow cooker for 8 hours on low.

Instant Pot directions: To make in the Instant Pot, you will need an 8 quart IP or halve the recipe. Reduce the broth to 1 1/2 cups, cook high pressure 25 minutes.

Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

(16 oz) jar deli-sliced tamed jalapeno peppers, drained

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place turkey in the skillet, and cook until brown. Pour turkey into slow cooker.

Add the onion, peppers, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beans, jalapeños, corn, chili powder, and cumin. Stir and season with salt and pepper.

Cover and cook on High for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Serve with toppings, if desired.

Note-we use a 6 quart slow cooker.

On 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot, press Sauté and let appliance preheat until display says Hot.

Swirl a bit of oil to coat, add ground turkey and cook for 4 minutes, breaking into small pieces with spatula often. Meat doesn't have to cook through.

If you see bottom of the pot has stuck browned bits of meat, add 1/2 cup broth and deglaze the pot. If not - then it's fine. My 6 quart Instant Pot runs hotter than 8 quart.

Press Cancel and add remaining 1/2 cup (if deglazed) or 1 cup broth.

Add onion, garlic, bell pepper, corn, beans, chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Do not stir to avoid Burn.

Close the lid, set pressure vent to Sealing and press Pressure Cook on High or Manual for 15 minutes.

After release pressure using Quick Release by turning pressure valve to Venting position, which takes 2-3 minutes.

Open the lid, stir and serve hot with your favourite toppings.

Hearty, rich and well seasoned turkey chili everyone will love! It's made healthier with ground turkey in place of ground beef but it's still super delicious and perfectly satisfying on a cold day.

Turkey Chili

93% turkey

red bell pepper, (chopped (1 1/2 cups))

medium yellow onion, (chopped (1 1/2 cups))

garlic, (minced (1 Tbsp))

Salt and black pepper

(14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies

(8 tomato sauce

low-sodium chicken broth (, then another 1/2 cup if desired)

Tbsp chili powder

Tbsp ancho chili powder

tsp ground paprika ((smoked or regular sweet))

tsp coriander

Cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions

Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add turkey, season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally and breaking up turkey until cooked through. Transfer turkey to a plate.

Heat remaining 1 Tbsp olive oil in now empty pot over medium-high. Add bell pepper and onion and saute 4 minutes.

Add garlic, chili powder, ancho chili powder, cumin, paprika and coriander and saute 30 seconds longer.

Pour in tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, cooked turkey and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring to a simmer then reduce heat to low. Cover and let continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

Stir in kidney beans and more chicken broth to thin if desired and heat through, about 2 minutes. Serve warm with desired toppings.

Rockin' 5 Ingredient Sweet Potato Turkey Chili

Heat the oil over medium high heat in a heavy, deep pot. Add the onion, turkey, 1 tablespoon chili powder, and 1 tablespoon taco seasoning. Add water as needed to keep the turkey moist and moving around in the pan. When the turkey is browned and crumbled and the onions are soft, remove from the pan and set aside.
