Cheesy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake

penne (or another similar shape)

chicken

butter

all-purpose flour

garlic (minced)

half & half

Italian seasoning

chicken bouillon

mozzarella cheese (divided)

parmesan

Parsley

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Set out a 9X13 inch baking dish.

Set a large pot of salted water over high heat. Once boiling, stir in the penne and cook according to the package instructions. Then drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water for later use.

Meanwhile, set a second large sauce pot over medium heat. Add the butter. Once melted, whisk in the flour. Then whisk in the minced garlic. Continue to whisk for 1-2 minutes until the roux is golden in color.

Stir in the half &amp; half, Italian seasoning, and bouillon. Once the mixture is hot, stir in 1 cup shredded mozzarella, and 1 cup parmesan cheese. Stir and simmer until the cheese is well incorporated.

The sauce should be thick, but still saucy, not like gravy. If it seems too thick, mix in ½ to 1 cup pasta water. Then mix in the cooked pasta and chicken pieces.

Pour the pasta mix into the baking dish. Spread out evenly. Then sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of mozzarella cheese over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the sides are bubbling and the cheese on top is melted with crispy edges. Serve warm.

These Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Roll Ups are all of the flavors of classic Chicken Alfredo rolled up into lasagna noodles to make easy lasagna rolls. A simple weeknight dinner recipe that the whole family will love.

Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Roll Ups

Lasagna Noodles

Chicken (cooked and shredded)

Ricotta Cheese

Salt

Italian Seasoning

Onion powder

Garlic powder

Alfredo Sauce (jarred)

Mozzarella (shredded)

Parmesan (shredded)

Bring a pot of water to a boil.

Add lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

Drain water from the pot and place noodles on a flat surface. (I suggest using a piece of parchment paper).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl combine shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

With the lasagna noodles on a flat surface spread 3 ounces of the chicken mixture on each noodle. Leave 1/3 of the noodle bare.

Top the chicken mixture with 1-2 tablespoons of Alfredo sauce.

Starting at the end of the noodle roll it up, rolling towards the bare end of the noodle.

Add 1/4 cup of Alfredo sauce to the bottom of a casserole dish.

Place each lasagna roll up into the casserole dish.

Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the lasagna roll ups.

Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes remove the aluminum foil and continue to bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Had a great flavor.  I should have cooked the noodles in the sauce ,as stated, because it was too thin cooking separately, but my pot was too small.   Definitely make again.

I used baked chicken leg & breast meat.  I pulled the meat apart with fork.  I also added the chicken to the fettuccine while it was cooking. I also added butter to milk mixture.  My hubby loved it.

Didn't go well with my children. my youngest refused to eat it, my oldest is crying (and is now late for hockey practice) because she helped make it and it turned out awful. instructions were unclear as to when to cook the noodles and the whole thing turned to soup. i do not suggest adding chicken broth. Thank you for making my children upset and late for practice where she will now be benched for her next game. Overall just an awful recipe that i will tell my friends to avoid at the next P.T.A. meeting. Glad my husband wasn't home for this meal, i would have been embarrassed. ONE STAR!

/ 10 oz fettuccine ((Note 1))

/ 2 tbsp butter (, separated)

chicken breasts (, cut in half horizontally)

salt and pepper

garlic (, minced)

(125 milliliters) dry white wine ((sub more chicken broth))

(315 milliliters) cream

(75 grams) parmesan (, finely shredded (Note 3))

baby spinach

bacon (, cooked and crumbled)

Parsley (, for garnish (optional))

Chicken Pasta recipe of your dreams!

Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for time per packet minus 1 1/2 minutes.

Just before draining, scoop out a mugful of pasta cooking water. Then drain pasta.

Sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt and pepper.

Melt half the butter in a large skillet over hig heat.

Add chicken and cook for 2 minutes on each side until deep golden.

Remove chicken onto plate, rest for a few minutes then shred with 2 forks.

Chicken:

Turn down heat to medium high. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic.

Cook garlic for 30 seconds until golden, then add wine.

Simmer rapidly, stirring to scrape the brown bits off the bottom of the pan. Once mostly evaporated, add chicken broth, cream, parmesan and sun dried tomato.

Simmer on medium for 3 - 5 minutes, stirring leisurely, until it reduces and thickens.

Alfredo Sauce:

Add spinach, chicken and cooked pasta.

Toss for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes on the stove, until sauce thickens and coats the pasta strands (see VIDEO). Use pasta cooking water if needed if it gets too thick.

Serve immediately with parmesan, crumbled bacon and parsley (if desired).

broccoli

unsalted butter

heavy whipping cream

milk

parmesan cheese

egg yolks (, beaten)

salt and black pepper (, to taste)

Cook pasta according to package instructions, just until al dente. Drain from water and lay out on a large dish to cool, so that they don't stick together.

Combine butter, garlic, heavy cream and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer.&nbsp;

Beat egg yolks in a small bowl. Add a spoonful of the hot milk mixture to the eggs, stirring to temper the eggs. Repeat with several more spoonfuls.&nbsp;

Slowly add the egg mixture to the saucepan and stir to combine. Remove from heat.&nbsp;

Stir in Parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

In a large mixing bowl, add chicken, broccoli, and 1/2 cup alfredo sauce.&nbsp; Toss to combine.&nbsp;

Add a spoonful of alfredo sauce to the bottom of a 9x13'' pan. Fill shells with a large spoonful of chicken and broccoli mixture and place in prepared pan.

Pour remaining alfredo sauce evenly over the shells. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 25 minutes or until warm and bubbly.

Next time try lasagna stuffed shells or pizza stuffed shells!

I used jumbo shells and added about two heaping tablespoons of minced red onion to the garlic stage. I added about 5 oz frozen chopped spinach -drained and added the chicken to the sauce.  After cooking for 30 min I broiled in high for 3 min to crisp the top.   I also reserved some of the sauce before I put the chicken  in to drizzle on top before baking.  Delicious!

This is seriously the best Alfredo sauce I have ever had! It’s a new regular in our household. We double the recipe and the leftovers are even better if that’s possible. We play around with the types of noodles and add extra Parmesan but this is a must try!

Don’t get me wrong, I could lick cream cheese off of a spoon I like it so much, but it definitely cheapened this sauce. I happened to taste the sauce after adding everything except the cream cheese, then after. I was absolutely loving it before adding it, then after adding it I could definitely tell it tasted more like a homemade sauce rather than restaurant-quality Alfredo. Instant regret. Also there was either too much flour or not enough milk.

my family loves these. I find they do need extra sauce so I make extra. Another option is to add a package of Birds Eye creamed spinach...just divide between the portions.

Loved the recipe, but I also reserved some sauce for the top and put the chicken in the rest.  Only problem was the edges of the noodles dried out because it didn’t say to cover with foil.  Bummer.

Delicious recipe!  I used imitation crab meat instead of chicken.  I used a double batch of sauce and put Old Bay and Italian seasoning in the sauce. Turned out perfect. Recommend this recipe

Made this tonight.  Looks a little dry.  Should have set a side some of the pasta water  to thin the sauce.  But the sauce did taste good.  Maybe it should have been covered with foil to bake.

The flavor of the alfredo sauce is delicious, and I will make this again. I also agree that mixing the chicken in with the  sauce, like you would if you were making enchiladas, is a smart shortcut. I think next time I'll try this using jumbo pasta shells rather than rolling lasagna noodles, since the chicken mixture tends to fall out the sides of the lasagna rollups.

Slow Cooker Cajun Chicken Alfredo

smoked sausage, sliced into 1 inch pieces

chicken broth

cajun seasoning

hot water + 2 tablespoons water, separated

cornstarch

mozzarella cheese

garlic powder

Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat oil over high heat and quickly sear chicken breasts on both sides.

Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker, along with sausage, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, cajun seasoning, and a sprinkle of salt &amp; pepper.

Cook on low for about 4 hours (or high for 2-3 hours), until chicken has reached 165 degrees. Remove chicken from slow cooker and set aside to cool and slice.

Stir in 1/2 cup of hot water and uncooked penne pasta. Cover and cook on high for about 30 minutes, until pasta is tender.

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water until combined. Pour into the slow cooker and stir to thicken up the sauce. Let cook for a few more minutes until thick.

Stir in parmesan and mozzerella cheese and sliced chicken. Top with a little bit of cajun seasoning and fresh parsley for garnish and serve up hot!

Steam the cauliflower. Place cut cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl with 1 cup of water. Cover with a damp paper towel and microwave on high for approximately 3-5 minutes or until the cauliflower is fork tender. Don’t overcook!

Drain the cauliflower pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside.

Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and sprinkle with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

In a skillet over medium high heat add your olive oil and the cubed chicken. Cook for approximately 10 minute, or until chicken is cooked through. Set aside.

In a small pot heat the keto alfredo sauce over medium low heat. When it is hot add 3 ounces of mozzarella cheese to the sauce and stir until it is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Sprinkle 4.5 ounces of mozzarella on top.

Repeat steps using the remaining cauliflower and chicken to make a layer, followed by the remaining keto alfredo sauce, and topped with the last of the mozzarella cheese.

Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is warmed through and the cheese is fully melted.
