Whisk together yogurt, orange juice, zest, and sugar in a mixing bowl until sugar has completely dissolved. Add lemon juice and salt in 1/4 teaspoon increments, until flavor tastes balanced between sweet and tart. Chill in an ice bath or refrigerate until yogurt registers at least 40°F on an instant-read thermometer. 

Churn yogurt in ice cream machine according to manufacturer's instructions. Transfer ice cream to airtight container and chill in freezer for at least 4 to 5 hours before serving.

Cook blueberries with lemon juice, sugar, salt, cinnamon: Place the blueberries, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium heat, stirring, until all of the sugar has dissolved.
While the mixture is heating, use a potato masher to mash up the blueberries.
 
When all of the sugar has dissolved, remove from heat. Strain out the blueberry skins and let the juicy blueberry syrup cool for 10 minutes.

Stir in yogurt, milk, then chill: Stir in the yogurt and milk until completely incorporated.

Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for several hours (or overnight) until completely cold.

Process in ice cream maker: Process the blueberry yogurt mixture in your ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions (usually about 25 minutes).
Serve immediately (it will be soft) or let it firm up a bit by freezing it for several hours.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt

qt. Plain, Whole Milk Yogurt

c. Sugar

c. Corn Syrup

tbsp. Vanilla Bean Paste

Only 5 simple ingredients stand between you and this ridiculously easy twist on frozen yogurt.  The perfect treat for the summer heat. 

No Churn Peach Frozen Yogurt

oz frozen peaches

cinnamon (divided)

vanilla extract

tub peach or vanilla yogurt

14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

heavy whipping cream

Chill 3 medium bowls and beaters in the freezer until ready to begin.

In medium pot over medium-high heat, add peaches, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, vanilla and salt, and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add peaches to a bowl to cool down, then place in the fridge. Once chilled add peaches to blender or food processor and pulse on low 6-7 times or until you achieve a chunky puree.

In the second chilled bowl mix yogurt, sweetened condensed milk &amp; ½ teaspoon of cinnamon &amp; set aside.

In the third chilled bowl blend heavy cream with a hand blender on high until you achieve stiff peaks. Fold in the whipped cream into the yoghurt mixture.

In a loaf pan layer approximately  ⅓ of peach puree followed by ⅓ of the cream mixture. Repeat until you top off with the final layer of the cream mixture. Wrap the loaf pan tightly with plastic wrap and freezer for 8 hours or overnight.

Peach Frozen Yogurt Recipe

Real California Whole Milk

granulated sugar (or 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. Truvia

Real California Yogurt (Non-Fat, Vanilla)

Real California Heavy Cream

tsp vanilla extract (optional)

peaches, pureed ((about 2 large peaches))

Using a hand mixer, mix together whole milk and sugar. Blend until the sugar is dissolved.

Stir in yogurt, cream, vanilla (if using) and pureed peaches.

If not using an ice cream maker, pour mixture into a large dish and freeze. Scoop into bowls or cones and serve. Enjoy!

Ninja Creami Frozen Yogurt

Ounces Vanilla Yogurt

Pour 16 ounces of yogurt into a Ninja Creami pint container and freeze on a level surface in a cold freezer for a full 24 hours.

After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer. Remove the lid.

Place the Ninja Creami pint into the outer bowl. Place the outer bowl with the pint in it, into the Ninja Creami machine and turn until the outer bowl locks into place. Push the LITE ICE CREAM button. During the LITE ICE CREAM function, the yogurt will mix together and become creamy. This should take approximately 2 minutes.

Once the LITE ICE CREAM function has ended, turn the outer bowl and release it from the Ninja Creami machine.

Memorial Day Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt

FOR THE FROZEN YOGURT:

bananas (sliced)

cream cheese

tbsp raw honey

tsp vanilla extract

FOR THE BLUEBERRY COMPOTE:

blueberries

chocolate

Add blueberries, raw honey, and lemon juice to small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat and bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook 5-7 minutes or until blueberries have released juices and sauce begins to thicken. While sauce is simmering, take fork and gently mash blueberries. Once cooked, remove from heat and pour into bowl, add to refrigerator or freezer to cool while you make the frozen yogurt.

Meanwhile, add frozen bananas, cream cheese, honey, lemon juice and vanilla extract to food processor. Process on high for 30 seconds, then remove and scrape down sides, before processing for another 30-60 seconds or until smooth consistency has been reached.

Pour half frozen yogurt into freezer safe container {I used a pyrex dish with rubber lid}, then drop half cooled blueberry compote in large spoonfuls over ice cream. Top with remaining ice cream, then remaining blueberries. Use a butter knife to swirl blueberry compote into ice cream.

Cover container with lid or plastic wrap and put in freezer for 8 hours or until firm enough to scoop.

Enjoy!

Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper. Stir the vanilla Greek yogurt so it is creamy and consistent. Then pour onto the parchment paper and spread evenly using an offset spatula or a spoon until the yogurt is about a quarter of an inch thick.

A day (24 hours) before you decide to make you ice cream, put your ice cream bowl in a freezer.

In a large bowl combine: yogurt, a sweetener ( I am using half of Mrs. Butterworth syrup and half of vanilla caramel skinny syrup) and vanilla extract. Mix it well.

Add instant coffee and stir well.

Taste the mixture to make sure that is sweet enough. Keep in mind that after freezing, the yogurt will lose some of the sweetness so make sure that the mixture is sweeter than you like before freezing it.

Prepare your ice cream maker. Remove the bowl from the freezer. Assemble all parts. Turn the ice cream machine on and start adding yogurt into the bowl while the bowl is turning.

Churn for 15 - 20 minutes

Add chopped chocolate and churn until incorporated

Transfer to a soring container

In mixing bowl combine the almond butter, applesauce, maple syrup, almond milk, oats, vanilla extract, and salt to make the granola mixture.

Line an 8&#215;8 baking dish with parchment paper and flatten the granola mixture into it.

Place in the freezer while you work on the other two layers.

In a small pot combine the berries, water, and maple syrup over low-medium heat.

Smash the berries and let the mixture boil for a few minutes until it thickens. Remove from the heat and place in the fridge to further thicken.

For the yogurt layer combine the greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract evenly.

Remove the granola layer from the freezer and pour the berry mixture on top. Spread evenly and place back in the freezer to set for about 30 minutes.

Remove from the freezer again and pour the yogurt layer on top. Spread evenly. (Optional: Make the swirly design with a toothpick at this point!)

Place in the freezer again to set completely for 1-2 hours or until the yogurt is solid.

Remove from the freezer, cut into bars or squares, and enjoy!

Made these with peanut butter since that is what I had at the time. I want to try them with almond butter to taste test but they were very good. The creamy yogurt with the punch if the berry layer mixed with the oats is so good! I love the texture the oats give since they are not cooked. Like I said, I will be making again but with almond butter. I love being able to have them on hand as they live in the freezer. I do recommend heating up for 10 seconds or pull one out a few minutes before enjoying it otherwise it is a little too hard.

If you’re serving this as soft serve, go ahead and serve into ice cream bowls. If you want a thicker, more traditional ice cream consistency, scoop the frozen yogurt into an airtight container or into a pan lined with parchment paper. Be sure to wrap the pan tight with plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn. Place the container in the freezer to firm up for at least 30 minutes.

Serve

Allow the frozen yogurt to thaw slightly before serving. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
