Very good, my tweaks included a half pound mild Italian sausage and some pepper flakes. Very good. But I would imagine a bit bland without the sausage and pepper flake

Great recipe and a crowd-pleaser. Much simpler than actually making stuff peppers, and we actually prefer the soup. A new member of our regular line up.

I made this soup today and it was amazing. I don't know why I never thought of turning our favourite stuffed peppers into soup before coming across this recipe. I made a few small tweaks and it turned out so good that I'm about to write it into my recipe book after making it once. I used a 28oz. can of regular diced tomatoes because I have trouble finding fire-roasted diced tomatoes at all 3 of my local grocery stores. I also substituted white rice for brown because it is what we prefer and have on hand. Lastly, the change that I believe took this recipe to the next recipe is DILL. We have always used copious amounts of dill in our stuffed peppers. Usually I will cook the rice in dill as well as add it to the browning ground beef and I add more to the entire mixture before stuffing the peppers!! It compliments the other ingredients sooo well. So, I decided to add dried dill to this soup--an overly generous amount! It's seriously so good you don't even need to add cheese and this is coming from a huge cheese lover!! I hope you all consider adding dill to your stuffed peppers and stuffed pepper soup from now on!

If you like stuffed green peppers,  you will love this soup. If you don't like the texture of cooked peppers, just puree them with some of the broth in a blender first, before adding to the soup.

Very tasty, simple, and quick. Common ingredients that one usually has on hand! I used red onion instead of yellow and it came out great still. Next time I will add a bit extra tomato paste. Tip: drizzle extra yellow mustard over your own bowl before adding the parsley and pickles, super yummy!

I made this tonight and it was good! I cut down the Italian seasoning to just over a half a teaspoon.  I didn't use the mustard, due to sodium.  Excellent recipe. Thanks!

Very tasty, but enchiladas needed a bit more enchilada sauce. I added shredded cheese to the filling, as well as on top. Love the corn and black beans combination—will make this again. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Seemed like a good recipe. Be careful what enchilada sauce you use. The kind I bought didn’t say hot or mild. But it was totally insanely hot. Otherwise it was good.

This turned out well enough in the end, but the meat mixture was far too "liquidly," contrary to what many of the comments say (that it was too dry). Maybe this is because the recipe calls for a "19 oz" can of enchilada sauce, but at least where I live, in Washington, DC, it (at least red enchilada sauce) only comes in 10 oz cans. I followed the directions and used two cans (plus a little more because of the comments) and actually had to strain the meat and vegetable mixture before putting it in the tortilla. Anyway, I tripled the amount of chili powder and topped it with habanero/jalapeno jack cheese, and it was fine.

Very simple to make and turned out tasty, I added some Franks hot sauce for added kick too.

This was pretty easy to make, and it tasted great.

Took a gamble on this recipe, and it paid off. Rave reviews from my husband and children, aged 7 and 10! Easy to make. Highly recommend.

I've made this recipe several times - both with turkey and beef. It's come out pretty well and has been popular. However, I have found it can come out a bit bland and really needs some additional flavor - more of the ones already included and I have tried others (brown sugar, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, etc). Any ideas or additions anyone has found to work well?

Very little flavor after 7 hours in a slow cooker

this recipe came out delicious the only difference was I cooked it on high in the slow cooker and it only took about 3 1/2 hrs

and added more seasoning after about 1hr 1/2

This was a hit with my kids. They don't like chili but with fritos they ate it all!

I adore this recipe. I'm in the same boat as redapple, tripling the recipe. I do leave the brown bits and deglaze, but I also triple and carmelize the onions while reducing four times the beef broth. It takes about an extra fourty minutes but it's soooo worth it. Really gives it the extra punch of flavor.

I truly enjoyed this recipe because the tomato paste made the gravy different from what I grew up with. Next time I too will add more beef broth. My husband loved it. We used frozen beef patties for burgers instead, that was the first time they were tender and juicy.

This was the first time I had homemade Salisbury steak and I was not disappointed. My fiancé gave it a 10/10 as well. We put it on top of garlic mashed potatoes. The only problem I had was the sauce got thick really fast so I improvised by adding more Beef stock and it worked out great. I highly recommend this to anyone!

This is a meal that my entire family loves!  Since I have to double, sometime triple, the recipe, I finish mine in the oven instead of on the stovetop.  Also, the last few times I haven't wiped the drippings out of the pan before starting the gravy.  It gives the gravy a little bit "extra".

Terrible recipe. Tomato paste totally took over dish, which I doubled so I could have two meals. Plus, it took much longer than directed. Complete waste of my time and money. It should be removed from your website.

I was never a fan of Salisbury steak until I made these. Recipe was delicious and so easy to make. I put it on top of mashed potatoes with a side of stove top because my boyfriend is obsessed with that. The only thing that I would change would be to add more beef stock other than that it was absolutely delicious and extremely easy

This recipe is seriously lacking. The part5ies were good, but the sauce needed considerable doctoring. Very bland, as it written. I added garlic, red wine, dijon mustard and soy sauce to make it edible.

My husband had never had anything but 'TV Dinner' Salisbury Steak. He loved this as did I. I did not wipe out the pan drippings, just removed anything that looked like it might go over into overly done. I think next time i will make them with fresh bread crumbs as it will make the patties even more tender. Loved it!

It had way too much tomato paste...I found it overpowered the dish. I added more beef stock, one cup wasn’t enough, plus I wanted to lighten up the tomato paste flavor. I’m not sure I will make this again.

Salisbury Steak Is A Weeknight Dinner Classic

Recipe VIDEO above. A fabulous quick stir fry made using beef mince (ground beef) &lt;&lt;-- No slicing meat! It's not saucy like usual stir fries, you don't need sauce because the beef mixes through the rice, and it has plenty of flavour and it's JUICY. Great recipe to add diced or julienned veggies!

Asian Beef Bowls

tbsp Hoisin Sauce ((or sub with Oyster))

tbsp Oyster Sauce ((or sub with 1 1/2 tbsp Hoisin))

tbsp

tbsp dark soy sauce ((Note 2))

tsp white sugar

tsp sesame oil

tsp white pepper ((or sub with black))

tbsp oil

garlic cloves,

500 g /1 lb beef mince (ground beef)

shallots / scallions (, sliced,

Mix Sauce together in a bowl

Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add garlic and onion, cook for 1 minute or until onion starts browning.

Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you go.

Once the beef has all changed from red to brown, add Sauce. Cook for a further 2 minutes, or until Sauce has evaporated and beef is cooked. If you want the beef cooked more, add a splash of water and keep cooking (I don't do this).

Stir through shallots, then serve over rice, garnished with more shallots and sesame seeds, if desired. Or for a low carb, low cal option, try Cauliflower Rice!

Made this the other night and it was yummy. Left out the mushrooms because I don’t like them. Added a jalapeno. Mixed the bacon back in instead of just putting it on top. Topped it with some shredded cheddar. I’ll be making this one again (several times probably) because chili is one of my favorite things. I was surprised that I didn’t even miss the tomatoes.

Delicious! This is one of my new fave recipes, its absolutely spot on! No need for beans or tomatoes (i am surprised about being ok with lack of tomatoes). I added more paprika to get that smoky, tangy, almost tomato-like taste and lime juice.

I did not like this at all.  I miss the tangy flavor  of real chili 😟

Made this today starting with frozen meat, with the help of my instant pot!  Delish! As family walked in the house they were drawn to aroma!

This Keto Chili Is The Perfect Fall Comfort Food

These Ground Beef Taco Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms have all the taco flavors you love without the tortilla!  This easy ground beef recipe cuts the carbs but is big on flavor.

Ground Beef Taco Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms

mushrooms

onion (diced)

red bell pepper (diced)

garlic

taco seasoning

tomato sauce

black beans (cooked)

cheddar cheese (grated)

salt (to taste)

pepper (to taste)

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Clean mushroom caps: Remove stems from mushrooms and use a spoon to scrape out the gills.  Arrange mushroom caps on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.  Set aside.

In a sauté pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef.  When beef is cooked, remove from pan and drain fat.

Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.  When hot, add the onions and bell peppers, season with salt and pepper.  Sauté until they have released their water and water has evaporated, and they are soft and starting to turn golden. 5-7 minutes

Add the garlic and taco seasoning, sauté for 30 seconds.  Add the corn and black beans, tomato sauce, and the cooked ground beef back into the pan, stir  to combine. Cook until 2-3 minutes or until beef is warmed through. Taste and season with more salt and pepper if needed.

Spoon taco meat mixture into the mushrooms, top with shredded cheese.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and mushrooms are tender.  Finish under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to brown cheese, if desired. Garnish with fresh herbs such as thyme and oregano if desired.

Taco Pasta

(about 5.3 ounces) uncooked medium shells pasta

lb. lean ground beef

(16 ounce) jar salsa

(10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, NOT diluted

Velveeta cheese

(4 oz) shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, cook beef in a Dutch oven over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.

Stir in the taco sauce, soup, and Velveeta cheese; heat through.

Drain pasta; stir into meat mixture. Transfer to a greased 11-in x 7-in baking dish.

Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
