I must say this was very delicious. Great recipe and I will definitely make this a lot more. Instead of using crushed tomatoes I used store bought 0 calorie tomato sauce. It was so good. I also added zucchini noodles!!

I only use my homemade tomatoes that I can every year, so no sugar added.  Love these and especially the sauce.

Meatballs didn't know they could be this good, and the sauce is fresh tasting! I added some Worcestershire to the meat (cause beef and Worcestershire) I made them in the Ninja Foodie--Air Crisped a double-layer at 375 for 10 minutes, then finished everything in pot on saute. This is the perfect bring-a-dish...dish!

these are so much tastier than store bought frozen meatballs. My husband thought these were great too.

I am not the best cook, but this was a VERY good and easy recipe. Loved all of the natural ingredients, and it ended up tasting very authentic. Everyone in our family thought it tasted great, and it allowed me to continue my eating plan and the kids still got to eat something they enjoy too (we threw the meatballs in hot dog buns with mozzarella on top in oven).

These meatballs were yummy I used ground venison in place of beef . Super good and I am not really a venison fan

This recipe is excellent!! I made this tonight and it was enjoyed by all. I subbed the mozz for pepper jack, but other than that I followed the recipe to the T. For those worried about carbs just don't plate it with sauce. Eat them only with the sauce that's on the surface of the meatball. No extra sauce will make a huge difference since it's the tomatoes and onions that are the culprits. You won't be sorry 😊

OMG, I just made these meatballs. Tried them. They are the most flavorful meatballs I have ever eattenand I haven't  even tried to make the sauce yet. I will be making these again and freezing them to pop put of the freezer as needed.

You can also used ground pork rinds to bind instead of the mozzarella cheese. Works like breadcrumbs

The delightful part of this recipe is the blackened, burnt cheese crust that forms on the bottom of the skillet as your meatballs disintegrate into mush because the cheese has melted.  Might as well plan on a new skillet because no amount of deglazing is gonna clean that up.

Do you eat it by itself or serve it with something? I’m literally just starting keto now because my adult son just started having seizures and needs to go on the keto diet to help reduce or prevent seizures. This looks good btw.

Was agonizing over several recipes.  Sometimes I don't care for almond flour substitue recipes, but I kept thinking it made sense to replace the breadcrumbs.  I have also made meatballs that end up greasy, or and odd texture, when NOT dieting, so had worries.  I  saw a few recipes with heavy whipping cream, of course that sounded tasty, but maybe juicy.  Finally settled on these.  PERFECT!  I made 2 lbs., warmed half with marinara and served with steamed broccoli.  For sure a new go-to!

Thank you to the person who created the recipe and the person who said this would be good for meatloaf! I followed recipe exactly except for a few drops of Worcestershire sauce (heinz as no carb, no sugar Worcestershire). Cooked for 35 min, sauted some garlic, onions and mushrooms then put on top of meatloaf for 10 more min, fantastic!!! Served with sauteed garlic and baby spinach

These became an instant hit from the first making.  Easy to do.  I did add a bit of onion powder, and Italian seasonings.  2nd time I did not have enough mozzarella (seems my kids got into the cheeses) so I did half mozzarella and half cheddar. WOW so good!

These were so easy to make and made such amount! Really great taste. I added in extra chili to make it a little spicy. Enjoyed this with mayo and hot sauce! Willing be using this recipe over and over again!

Cheesy Keto Meatballs are low-carb and Keto friendly. An easy dinner that the whole family loves! Traditional meatballs have breadcrumbs in them but these are gluten-free!

beef ((80/20 mix is good))

lb ground bulk Italian pork sausage

mozzarella cheese, divided

Parmesan cheese

eggs

garlic cloves

onion powder

Italian seasonings

pepper

red pepper flakes

marinara

basil

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and spray a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the beef, pork, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, eggs, spices, garlic, and salt and pepper.

Using a scoop, make 20 meatballs and place in the casserole dish.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink in the middle. Remove pan from the oven and drain the grease.

Spoon the marinara sauce on top of each meatball and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top. Bake for 5-10 minutes or untll the cheese is nice and melted. Garnish with basil and parsley if desired and serve.

These keto General Tso's Meatballs have all of the flavors and textures of the classic Chinese takeout favorite! Low carb and gluten free, there are also Paleo substitutions available. 

General Tso’s Meatballs (Low Carb &amp; Gluten Free)

lb turkey

ginger

scallions, chopped

almond flour

sesame oil

rice wine vinegar (unseasoned and sugar free)

3 tablespoons soy sauce (tamari based for GF, or coconut aminos for Paleo)

3 tablespoons sugar substitute (I like Swerve for keto, honey

xanthan gum (or arrowroot powder)

– 5 small dried chilies, seeded and chopped

Combine all of the meatball ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Form into 16 balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Fry in hot oil over medium heat until cooked through and crispy.

To make the meatballs:

Combine the sesame oil, vinegar, GF soy sauce, water, sugar substitute, and xanthan gum in a small saucepan and whisk until combined.

Add the scallions and chili pepper and bring to a boil.

Simmer for five minutes or until thickened, and remove from heat.

To make the sauce:

Add the cooked meatballs to the thickened sauce and stir to coat.

Garnish with more chopped scallions and chilis if desired.

To serve:

This is so yummy! Adding it to my menu rotation!

Thai Baked Turkey Meatballs

turkey ((or chicken))

scallions

garlic, (minced)

fish sauce ((paleo))

lemongrass ((fresh, paste, or freeze-dried))

red pepper

coconut oil ((or olive oil))

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Set out a large mixing bowl. Add the ground turkey, almond flour, eggs, scallions, basil, garlic, fish sauce, lemongrass, and crushed red pepper. Mix until well combined with a smooth texture.

Use a 1.5 tablespoon scoop to portion out balls. Gently roll the balls and lay them on a baking sheet. The meat mixture will be very soft and sticky, so try not to roll the balls too much.

Once all the balls are formed. Warm the coconut oil, then drizzle it over the tops of the meatballs.&nbsp;

Place the meatballs in the oven for 10 minutes. Then flip each meatballs and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Serve warm.

Thai Baked Turkey Meatballs Recipe - Easy Paleo Meatballs that are both healthy and delicious! These tender meatballs can be made with chicken or beef, and fit into a keto diet as well!

These Mediterranean meatballs are about flavor, comfort, and ease. Plus they&#039;re perfectly tender and also get a 5-star freezer rating!

Mediterranean Meatballs

onion (roughly diced)

garlic

parsley leaves only

beef (80/20 (note 1))

Prep. Preheat oven to 400 F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Food processor. Toss onion (1) and garlic (6 cloves) in a food processor and pulse using 1 second intervals. You&#39;ll want to pause the processor and scrape down the sides occasionally to incorporate everything. When the onion is &quot;minced&quot; add the parsley and continue to pulse everything together until everything is minced.

Combine + shape. Add parlsey (1/2 cup), onion and garlic to a large bowl together with the beef (2 pounds), pepper (1 teaspoon), salt (2 teaspoons), cumin (2 teaspoons), oregano (2 teaspoons), and cinnamon (1/4 teaspoons), and combine using your hands. Shape into 32 golf ball sized meatballs.

Bake in the preheated oven until cooked through, about 18-22 minutes.

These Keto Shepherd's Pie Meatballs contain all of the comforting flavors of the classic shepherd's pie, in a fun new low carb meatball format!

Put all of the meatball ingredients (except for the oil) into a medium-sized bowl.  Mix well with your hands, and then form into 18 meatballs, about 2 inches in diameter. 

Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes, or until the oil is shimmering.  

Add the meatballs and cook for about 3 minutes, then turn over with tongs and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until golden brown.  

Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.  

Add all of the sauce ingredients to the same skillet you cooked the meatballs in and stir well.

Bring the sauce to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and add the meatballs back to the pan and stir to coat in the sauce.  

Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, or until it has thickened and reduced by about one third, and the meatballs are cooked through.

Serve hot, preferably over a serving of Keto Cheddar Leek Cauliflower Mash.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Lamb in any form costs an arm and a leg here so I subbed ground turkey. This is probably my favorite meal that I've made from your blog. I could put this sauce on anything.

I’m not a fan of lamb, so I just used 2lbs of ground beef, and this was a delicious recipe. I’ve been looking to get away from my normal rotation and this was a great break away.

We LOVE lamb, but for reasons that matter not, we didn’t have any.  I used 2 pounds of a beef, pork, veal mixture.  Made the leek Cali mash.  Doubled the sauce.  OUTSTANDING!!!  Honestly, people need to follow your way of making cauliflower mashed potatoes.... you have it down to a science!

I love this recipe.  I typically don't have lamp on hand and use all beef instead and it's still delicious.  Love it with the Cauliflower Mash with Leeks.

Winner winner, meatball dinner!!  One of the best meatball recipes I have tried in a very long time.  Very tender and so flavourful.  I served it with your Keto Cheddar Leek Cauliflower Mash using Kerrygold sharp aged cheddar and green onions instead of leeks because I couldn't find any decent leeks.
