The Best Macaroni Salad Recipe

macaroni pasta

kale, (finely chopped)

bacon, (chopped)

sweet pickle relish

scallions, (chopped)

mayonnaise, (could be low fat)

apple cider vinegar

sugar

hot sauce, (I used Frank's RedHot)

garlic, (minced)

salt and pepper

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, usually 7-10 minutes. Then drain and rinse with cold water.

In a medium bowl mix the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, hot sauce, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper.

Pour the macaroni in a large bowl. Pour the dressing over the top. Then add the chopped roasted red peppers, kale, bacon, pickle relish, and scallions.

Toss well to coat. Then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Korean Macaroni Salad

elbow macaroni ((7 ounces))

cucumber

tsp fine sea salt

g corn kernel ((from tin), drained, (1.7 ounces))

g red bell pepper

mayonnaise ((whole egg))

Tbsp sugar

Tbsp honey

lemon juice

tsp fine sea salt (, adjust to your taste)

black pepper

tsp dijon mustard ((optional))

Cook the macaroni pasta following the package instructions. (If the package does not suggest, I would recommend adding some fine sea salt while boiling the pasta.) Drain and cool down for 2 mins.

While the pasta is cooking, combine the salad dressing in a separate bowl. Also, separately, combine the cucumber and the salt (1/2 tsp) in a small bowl. Mix them well and set it aside until the remaining ingredients are ready. When ready, gently squeeze the water out of the cucumber. 

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 mins to develop the flavor. Serve.

lb. elbow macaroni noodles (uncooked)

red onion

red bell pepper

peas

distilled vinegar

Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse with cool water. I like to add a few ice cubes to the noodles while running cool water over them to help cool the noodles faster. Drain and add pasta to a large bowl.

Add in the diced celery, red onion, red bell pepper, peas and cheese.

Whisk together the dressing ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.

Pour the dressing into the large bowl and stir to coat evenly. Keep the salad covered and refrigerated until ready to serve. Enjoy!

This classic macaroni salad recipe is ultra creamy and tangy. It&#x27;s guaranteed to be devoured at all your summer BBQs, parties, and potlucks!

How to Make Macaroni Salad

Macaroni Pasta

Red Onion (, minced)

Green Bell Pepper (, minced)

Red Bell Pepper (, minced)

Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Cups Mayonnaise

Cup Granulated Sugar

Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

Teaspoon Salt

Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper

Dijon Mustard ((or yellow mustard))

Heat a pot of water over medium high heat with a teaspoon or two of kosher salt.

Once boiling, add the pasta and cook PAST al dente. See blog post above for tips.

Drain and completely cool the pasta in the fridge.

In a bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients, do not scrape the sweetened condensed milk out, just dump it.

In a large bowl, mix together the veggies and dressing. Add the cooled pasta and toss to coat.

Set in the fridge for up to 3 hours, covered with plastic wrap. Stir before serving and adding additional seasoning if needed.

Cook pasta in salted water according to box instructions.

Drain cooked pasta and let it cook until no longer scalding hot.

Dice all vegetables and herbs while pasta is cooking and whisk all ingredients for the dressing in a separate bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, combine pasta vegetables, and herbs and mix.

Pour dressing into the bowl with the pasta and mix everything together until dressing is evenly incorporated throughout.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salad into a food storage container with a lid. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions.

Drain and rinse under cold water.

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, tomatoes (and any juice from the tomato), olives, onion, garlic powder, oregano salt and pepper. Mix well.

Add elbows and mix well.

Vintage Macaroni Salad

lb Macaroni elbow pasta, dry

Eggs,

Mayonnaise

Onion, fine mince

Celery,

Dill pickle relish dill pickles

Vinegar, white distilled

Mustard, classic yellow

Sugar, white granulated

Salt

Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water until cool. Drain and set aside.

In large salad bowl, make dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt, and fresh cracked pepper to taste. When well combined, add dill pickle relish and minced onion; stir well. Allow dressing to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes for flavors to develop.

Add cooked and cooled macaroni to salad bowl. Toss thoroughly in dressing until evenly coated.

Add diced celery and stir until evenly distributed.

Carefully stir in diced hard boiled egg until evenly distributed.

Sprinkle top of macaroni salad with paprika and fresh cracked pepper to taste.

Traditional Hawaiian Macaroni Salad.  Oh YUM!  I love to goto a Hawaiian BBQ and have a bowl full of this Macaroni Salad.  It compliments the many Hawaiian dishes and is a perfect balance to a meal.

Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

oz Macaroni Pasta

water

Carrot slivered (about 1/4 cup)

Cup Mayonnaise

Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar

Tbs Milk

Tbs Sugar

tsp crushed garlic *optional

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instant Pot Directions

Pour water or broth in Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and add macaroni making sure to spread the pasta evenly on bottom.

Close lid and set to Manual (Pressure Cook) high for 4 minutes with a 4 minute Natural Release (NR) and then Quick Release (QR) the remaining pressure

Rinse pasta under cool water and drain

Add slivered carrots and Apple Cider Vinegar to pasta and toss.  Place in refrigerator for 1 hour.

In a separate bowl combine mayonnaise, sugar and milk. Whisk to combine.

Pour over cooled pasta.

Add garlic if desired

Toss to coat. Allow to marinate for 4 hours or overnight.

Add additional 1-2 Tbs Milk if needed for desired consistency

Stove Directions:

Cook noodles according to package directions

Rinse Pasta and drain.  Add Carrot slivers and Apple Cider Vinegar and toss to coat.  Place in refrigerator to cool for 1 hour

Serve Cold

I use the classic short macaroni noodles in this macaroni salad, but a shell or elbow noodle will work equally as well. Be sure to rinse the noodles under cold water and drain well to remove any excess water so your salad doesn't become soupy.

How to Make Classic Macaroni Salad

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package directions, Drain in a colander and rinse under cold water until cooled. Shake the colander to toss the pasta, and drain for about 5 minutes, tossing occasionally.

Transfer the drained pasta to a large bowl. Add the eggs, celery, red bell pepper, red onion and sweet pickles. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, pickle juice, sugar, and Dijon mustard; season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add to the macaroni and toss until evenly coated. Season with more salt and pepper to taste then refrigerate for 1 hour before serving. Sprinkle with chopped parsley to add a little color if desired.
