Drain 1 can of peaches; reserve the syrup from the other. Place the butter in a 9- by 12-inch ovenproof baking dish. Heat the butter on the stove or in the oven until it's melted. In a medium bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Stir in the milk and the reserved syrup. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Arrange the peaches over the batter. Bake for 1 hour. The cobbler is done when the batter rises around the peaches and the crust is thick and golden brown. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream

Chill a large metal mixing bowl and the wire beater attachment in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Pour the chilled cream and sugar into the cold mixing bowl and beat until it forms soft peaks, about 5 minutes. The mixture should hold its shape when dropped from a spoon. Don't overbeat or you'll have sweetened butter! 

The textures of this peach cobbler are fantastic! This is definitely an easy recipe I'll revisit many times!

Turned out terrible. Not sure if I did anything wrong, but it was blah, chewy and you could tell it was canned peaches.

Place the peaches in a 9-by-9-inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, 3/4 cup of the sugar, the baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of the salt. Add the milk and melted butter and mix well. Pour the batter evenly over the peaches.

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, the cornstarch and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt. Sprinkle the mixture over the batter. Evenly pour the boiling water all over.

This recipe never fails me. It is my go to recipe for peach cobbler. I have made this over 20 times, and every time I make it, people rave about how delicious it is. Everyone wants to know what recipe I am using. I tell them that it’s a family secret. Shhhh...

This is the best peach cobbler ever. I did bake it a little longer than the recipe said to. It was yummy. I love the crisp crust created by the addition of the corn starch. So good!  

I agree with the other reviewers who recommended baking this at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. Use your judgment and bake it until it looks nice and golden. I also used a 13x9 baking dish. It came out great - the crust was crisp and the peaches were juicy! A great recipe to utilize fresh summer peaches!

This was delicious and easy! I liked the simple ingredients and process. I used 3 peaches so I halved the recipe and used an 8x8 baking dish. I probably still baked it for about 50 mins and it was perfect! Also replaced sugar with brown sugar so it’s a little “healthier” :)

This old-fashioned peach cobbler is a classic Southern dessert made with fresh peaches and a sweet crust.

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Spray a 9x13 deep-sided baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.

In a large bowl combine the peaches, lemon juice, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Stir well to coat all peaches.

Pour peach mixture into the bottom of your greased 9x13 baking dish. Place in the oven to bake peaches for about 10 minutes while you make the crust and cinnamon sugar topping.

In a separate medium bowl combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and grated butter. Stir to combine. Pour hot water into a bowl and mix until a dough mixture forms.

In a separate small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon, stir well.

Remove your peaches from the oven and drop spoonfuls of the crust topping mixture on top of the peaches. Use a spoon or spatula to spread out the crust topping mixture so it’s evenly covering the peaches. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar topping evenly over the top of the crust topping.

Place back in the oven and let cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust topping is browned and the peach juices are bubbling up on the sides of the cobbler.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Blueberry Peach Cobbler

old-fashioned oats or quick cooking oats

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine flour, sugars, and cinnamon in a bowl; cut in the butter with a pastry blender/cutter until butter is the size of small peas. This can also be done by pulsing in a food processor or using your fingers to press the butter into the flour until the mixture is crumbly. I like to use my fingers because the warmth of your fingers soften the butter just enough to bring the mixture together somewhere between a ball of dough and dry and crumbly. (I don’t add the oats until after this step because it cuts the oats into tiny bits.)

Stir in oats. I used quick cooking oats in this photo because I had it on hand but I prefer the look and texture of old-fashioned oats.

Combine all the ingredients for filling in a large bowl and stir gently to coat the fruit. Frozen fruit can also be used but be sure to pat dry with paper towels to remove water when they thaw. Spoon filling into a greased 9-inch square baking dish or 2-quart casserole. Spoon, sprinkle, or dollop the topping mixture onto the filling and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Just like Grandma used to make! Tender biscuits top a bubbly peach filling.

Heat oven to 400°F. In 4-quart saucepan, mix 1/3 cup sugar, the cornstarch and cinnamon. Stir in peaches, water and lemon juice. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 8- or 9-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish.

In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon of the sugar, the milk and melted butter until soft dough forms.

Drop dough by 6 tablespoonfuls onto hot peach mixture. Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon sugar over dough.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9-1/2 x 13-inch baking pan.

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and Xanthan gum (if you are using it) together in a medium bowl.

Add the milk, peach syrup, and Grand Marier and mix lightly.

Add the melted butter (slightly cooled) and mix until just incorporated. 

Place the peaches evenly on top of the batter BUT DO NOT MIX THEM IN. Arrange the peach slices however you want but resist the urge to stir everything together. Sprinkle the lemon zest over peach slices.

Bake until the batter rises slightly around the peaches and the crust is golden brown.

You can use fresh peaches or frozen peaches if you wish. You will need approximately 2 cups. See below for tips on peeling fresh peaches.

This sweet and juicy peach and blueberry cobbler is made entirely from scratch and is the perfect simple summer dessert.

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Add the cubed butter to a 9 x 13 inch baking dish or pan. Place the dish in the oven for a few minutes until the butter is melted.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.

Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the pan (do not stir!). The melted butter will rise up over the batter.

Toss the peach slices and blueberries with the lemon juice and spread them evenly over the batter (again, do not stir).

Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top and and bake 40-50 minutes until the top is golden brown. Allow the cobbler to cool a few minutes before serving.

Followed the recipe almost to the t but I split peaches and nectarines for the fruit. It gave the sweet and tart that we were looking for. Fantastic recipe.

I've been looking for a cobbler just right for my family.  This is it.  It's titled an "easy" cobbler, and may be, but it's the tastiest I've made (and I've baked quite a few).  This is now my "go to".  It is not overly sweet but still is a great &amp; pleasing dessert.  The baked top is crunchy, the bottom nice and fruity.  I did make one addition of my own.   Before baking I added a sprinkle of sugar followed by a spritz of water on top.  This helps it have a sugar crunch up there.

In a bowl, mix together peaches, cinnamon, and brown sugar, until all the peaches are coated.

Dump peaches into slow cooker.

Sprinkle yellow cake mix over peaches, covering all the peaches. Use the entire box of cake mix (make sure you are using the dry cake mix - don&#39;t follow the instructions on the box to make cake batter).

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Butter a 9 by 13 inch glass baking dish and set aside.

Combine strawberries, sugar, tapioca, and lemon juice. Stir to combine and spread in a glass baking dish.

Prepare the topping by combining flour, baking powder, granulated and brown sugar. Cut cold butter into flour/sugar mixture using a fork or pastry blender until the mixture forms small pea-size pieces.

Pour heavy cream into the topping mixture and stir just until combined.

Scoop piles of the topping over the strawberry mixture in the baking dish.

Sprinkle coarse sugar over the cobbler topping if desired.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Butter a baking dish.

For the fruit: In a bowl, combine the peaches, sugar, flour, lemon juice and salt. Stir and set aside.

For the topping: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir together. Add the butter and shortening, and then cut together with a pastry cutter. Beat the milk and eggs together. Pour into the flour mixture and stir with a fork until just combined. 

Pour the peaches into the prepared baking dish. Tear off pinches of the dough topping and drop it onto the surface of the fruit, creating a "cobbled" texture. Sprinkle additional sugar over the top.

Bake until golden brown and bubbly, 30 to 35 minutes. Allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. If the cobbler is too juicy, use a turkey baster to remove a little of the juice (or spoon the juice over ice cream). Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.

AWFUL! Way too watery and bland. For the love of God please add your own flavoring! Big waste of time and money 

I followed this recipe exactly and it was pretty good. The peach filling is really yummy and it wasn’t too juicy for me. My peaches were definitely frozen when I made this. The cobbler topping was a bit bland as some people have said - it’s almost like a biscuit. And I did have to cook it an additional 15-20 minutes to really get that topping cooked through. Cooked in a ceramic 9x13 pan. 

It's just okay. Had to put in 15 mins longer than the suggested time. Pretty bland overall which is surprising because I usually love Rae's recipes.

My family loved this peach cobbler!  I made it for our small family gathering for the 4th of July. I did bake it an extra 10 minutes so the pastry could brown a little more.  The peaches were tender and the syrup was thick and delicious.  Very easy to make. A new family favorite. 

Followed the directions.  The dough didn’t finish correctly.  Need at least 15 min more at 400; but I thought that would overcook the dough, dropped it to 350.  <div>I used fresh peaches not frozen.  The peaches gen’d a lot of juice which got absorbed into the wonderful crust.  I used lard instead of shortening.  Not sure what people did wrong with their pastry dough, but you have to cut the cold butter and lard into the flour mixture.  And then blend the eggs and whole milk together.  My dough is wonderful great ratio of peaches, juice and pastry.  </div>

This is fairly easy recipe! I am 12 and I made it all by myself. The only things where that the when I took it out the dough was a little raw and the peaches where extremely juicy. Other then that I loved it and so did my family!

Super simple but wish it added more spices like cinnamon or something a little extra to make it more sophisticated. Just a little twist to make it special
