I've now made this a few times in my house. Even with doubling the recipe, I still have no left overs.

Was looking for easy crockpot recipes as I don't like to cook. This was easy and delicious. Will definitely be keeping this recipe to make over and over.

Great flavor.  A little thinner than I'd prefer but otherwise loved it.

I made a roux instead of adding the flour to the soup. It came out amazing. My version was more fattening though

This is SOO easy to throw together, and is hands down the best soup I have ever had! The chicken really adds a savory depth to the typical broccoli cheese soup. For the broth, I prepared it using "Better than bouillon" which we love. I added a dash of garlic and onion powders (my picky eaters wont eat actual onion, so I substitute powder for the flavor), but otherwise did everything As recipe indicated. This is a total keeper!!!

i can't afford to use cream because i wouldn't use the leftovers in anything so I'm using half and half, hopefully it doesn't detract from it

I made this the other night and everyone loved it!

I made this soup the other night and it was amazing!! Even my picky "non-soup" eating kids tried and liked it. This is definitely a recipe I will keep on hand and make again. The worst part of it however, was that there was no left overs since we ate it all that night haha. Like I said, its amazing and sooooo delicious!!!! 5 stars all the way!!!

The soup was super good, but for next time I will definitely add more heavy cream and flour. I just prefer my soup more thick. Following this recipe it will come out super runny BUT still has great flavor.

This delicious and hearty soup recipe is the perfect way to use up your leftover ham!

Slow Cooker Ham and Noodle Soup

ham,

onions, quartered

carrots

celery

bay leaf

salt

oregano

water

pasta

parsley

Add all the ingredients except the pasta and the 1 pound of ham to a slow cooker.

Just add enough water to cover the ham bone, too much water will make a weaker stock. We used approximately 8 cups of water for this size ham bone. Set on high and cook for 6-8 hours

Remove and discard the ham bone and the onion quarters.

Taste the stock for seasonings, then add in the pound of reserved ham and pasta.

Stir, cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.

Garnish with the chopped parsley if desired.

Very good recipe, made it as written once and once altered it. Both ways were very tasty. Works great in Instapot too. If you really don't have a ham bone here is a little trick. Put in 3 tablespoons of powdered Consomme and several good shakes of liquid smoke. This is almost the same but it's probably more likely you have a ham bone than those things anyway lol.

Used our leftover ham from Sunday dinner to make this soup. Very delicious and easy to make!

Excellent taste. We used ditalini pasta. It soaked up almost all of the liquid and the kids were claiming leftovers for lunch before the meal was over.

Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken

(, skinless chicken thighs*)

garlic (, minced)

Arrange chicken thighs on the bottom of your slow cooker; set aside. (please look at the notes section)

In a mixing bowl, combine garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, oregano and parsley; whisk until thoroughly combined.

Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs. Close with a lid and cook for 4 to 5 hours on LOW, or 3 to 4 hours on HIGH.** (please look at the notes section)

Remove lid and transfer chicken to a serving plate.

Spoon the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Soup

28-ounces can diced tomatoes, (undrained)

vegetable broth

corn kernels

dill or parsley, (finely chopped, for garnish)

lemon juice, (for serving)

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add onions, carrots, and celery; cook for 4 minutes.

Stir in garlic and fresh parsley and cook for 30 seconds.

Remove from heat and transfer to the pot of your 6-quart, or larger, slow cooker.

To the slow cooker add diced tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, tomato paste, bay leaves, smoked paprika, salt, thyme, basil, oregano, pepper, and vegetable broth; gently stir until everything is well combined.

Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 hours.

Add corn the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Ladle into bowls; garnish with fresh dill or parsley, plus a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

This was absolutely fabulous! I only made a few minor adjustments: 3 cups of heavy cream, 5 tbsp butter, 1 tsp garlic powder, penne rigate instead of rigatoni, 1.5 cups parmigiana-reggiano (incl. some on top just before I served up). The result was magnificent. An easy-to-prepare meal that tasted like I'd slaved over it. My husband must've complimented me 10x during this meal. Thank you for this. Looking forward to checking out your other recipes... especially for the crockpot (my go-to during heat waves).

Wow this is amazing! Very good! Will turn this is into a monthly thing. I did a few things different (from reading the comments) I did exactly what it said, but when I added the pasta I added half a cup more of heavy cream. I also did half a cup of parm chz instead of 1/3 a cup, and when the pasta was half way through cooking I added 1/4 cup more of parm chz. (It made the sauce thick and creamy). The pasta had  to cook longer than recommended (about 30-35 mins). I also did a teaspoon of garlic powder & Italian seasoning instead of half a teaspoon! Also, seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper, a little of garlic powder before cooking. 20/10. Yummy!

Just made this and was amazed how it came together so easily. I cooked the pasta separately, but followed everything else to a tee. The chicken came out perfect- absorbed a lot of the spices and the sauce was surprisingly flavorful. Tastes like restaurant quality easily- and only took like 20 mins of actual cooking. Thank you!

I don't know what I did wrong, but it was not very good. The noodles weren't cooked enough and it was soupy.

The consistency was like soup. And the sauce was not appealing.

Olive Garden has nothing on me!  I followed the instructions but also followed other reviews to increase the heavy cream and the Parmesan.  My husband and I loved it and is now our new favorite meal. Super quick for a slow cooker.

Great dish! Two things I recommend; 1) just cut up/cube the chicken before hand and remove with a slotted spoon when the recipe calls for it. No need to do whole and then shred later, saves time! 2) About 10 minutes after adding the pasta, add another 1/3-1/2 a cup of cheese (your choice depending on the flavor you want in the end) and the sauce thickens well. Also, between taking the chicken out and adding the everything else, stir the sauce well!!! Tasted great and came out delicious!!!

Love this recipe!!! First because it doesn't require a lot of effort. I don't have to stand over the stove constantly stirring, etc. I followed the advice of one of the prior reviews by adding an extra 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1 full cup of the Parmesan cheese. So delicious!! I've shared the recipe with a few family members and friends.

This turned out amazing. Things I did differently:
Substitute 3 to 4 garlic cloves for garlic powder. Mince them and add in with the chicken at the beginning.
Add another quarter cup to a half cup of heavy cream.
When you add the rigatoni, add another 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan and cook it for 30 minutes instead of 25. Also, when you add the rigatoni, add in some sauteed mushroom as well. It's amazing. Better than just about any restaurant I've ever ordered it from.

I leave my noodles to soak for a bit extra before eating. I felt that 30 minutes wasn't nearly enough time and the rigatoni came out tough and rubbery. If you find your noodles are too tough, let them soak longer until they're at the desired, or try a smaller noodle than rigatoni

This was so easy and delicious. Mine was not runny or soup like at all. Maybe people didn’t put the pasta in raw? The raw pasta soaked up  the creamy sauce as t cooked. I made extra Alfredo sauce on the side as I doubled everything for a large group. We needed the extra sauce to pour over it before serving. Add a toss salad and garlic bread  and TA-da  it was better then Olive Garden. Highly recommend. I adjusted cooking time for my slow cooker as I cooked a large amount.

I used this receipe many time, but instead of the noodle they suggest I put tortellini in it. I also have used Italian style cheese (I had run out of parmesan) and it had the same taste. I also add cayenne pepper spice to give it a little kick! Over all this is wonderful recipe and my whole family has enjoyed it!

I love this recipe but I have 2 suggestions. Firstly, cook it for 4-5 hours on low instead of 2 on high. I feel like it makes the chicken way better. Second, you might need to pre cook the pasta a little bit, or at least leave it in for longer. I've made this, exactly as described, and the pasta came out undercooked.

Yummy and so easy!  I did use penne pasta and cooked it for about 40 minutes since I live in the south and like my pasta softer. I sautés fresh mushrooms in butter and chicken broth and added those. I did add about 1/2 cup chicken broth to thin out the sauce. I’ve saved this to make again. I also cooked it 4 hours in low instead of high. Read the positive comments for variations!

You Can Cook Chicken Alfredo (From Start To Finish) In Your Slow Cooker

Crock-Pot Lasagna

(16-oz.) box lasagna noodles, unboiled

Loved this!  I have made many lasagnas but this was my first in a slow cooker .  Excellent results!  It even produced the slightly crunchy  Cheesy edges like in a baked lasagna.  I’ll definitely make this again but will add a layer of fresh spinach the next time around as we all love that in our lasagna.

Best lasagna I’ve ever made!  No need to grease the crock pot.  In addition to ground beef (yes you need to remove grease once meat is brown). I also included 2 links, Italian sweet sausage sliced and browned. Cooked on low for 3.5 hours and lasagna noodles were perfect. Added a splash of red wine to meat and pasta sauce before layering into pot. I am amazed on how good this was.  Never going back to traditional method.

We've tried this with ground beef, a mixture of beef & italian sausage, and most recently with ground green onion venison/pork mixture and it has been a crowd pleaser every single time. I've come back to this page several times over the years and now I kind of know it by heart. One of our family's favorites for sure.

I would like to note that after making this several times, you can tweak to your liking and it will always turn out awesome. We use 5 cheese italian blend along with ricotta. We double the cheese every time, still turns out fine. YOU DO NOT NEED oven ready lasagna noodles, they'll turn into pudding anyway. Cut out the problem of having to find them by using regular lasagna noodles (dry) and incorporating about 1/2 cup of water to your sauce before layering(rinsing out your jars will do nicely). 

Don't be afraid to experiment.

I've been creating lasagna this way for several years. I usually use italian sausage rather than beef  and an italian blend for the cheese rather than plain mozzarella. I've used small curd cottage cheese a few times (cheaper than riccota), but ricotta is so much better. You don't need to use the no-boil noodles as some have suggested. Regular dry lasagna noodles are fine. In fact they work better in this recipe (the no-boil noodles turn into a pastey mush). It will never beat the flavor and consistency of lasagna baked in an oven, but it's close, and an excellent substitute when you need an easy middle of the week meal.

Made this once, family loved it. Tonight I’m making it again. We had no working oven for MONTHS, so this was a nice change in the repeated meals

Made this the other day, I seemed to mis-measure the sauce because I ran out near the last later.  I will have to plan it better next time.  I also think 4 hours was a bit much, the edges were burnt crusty and not just well done crusty.  I will do 3.5 hours next time and maybe overlap the noodles a little better.  Over all it was good and eaten for the most part, but the hard crusty edges made the outer layer a bit much to eat.

I made this last night for my family and it was a hit! I used cottage cheese instead because I don't care for ricotta. I cooked mine about 4 1/2 hours and that was almost too long. I'll cook it 4 hours next time. I'm a vegetarian, so I didn't eat any, but I'll be using veggie meat when I make it next time!

Absolutely delicious! My entire family loves this dish and constantly asks me to make it. I followed all the instructions and have tried this with both sausage and ground beef and either still tastes amazing!

Your favorite chicken and rice casserole prepared in the crock pot! Made with brown rice, tomatoes, and chicken, this is a healthy, delicious, and easy slow cooker recipe perfect for those busy weeknights.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Recipe

olive oil, divided

yellow onions, thinly sliced

garlic,

(14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes

(or to taste) ground cumin

salt and fresh ground pepper

brown rice

salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat.

Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes.

Stir in garlic and continue to cook and stir for 30 seconds.

Add diced tomatoes with the liquid, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; continue to cook for 3 minutes, or until tender and heated through.

Layer rice on the bottom of your slow cooker.

Stir prepared tomatoes mixture into the rice; add chicken broth and set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in the skillet over medium heat.

Season chicken with paprika, salt, and pepper.

Add chicken pieces to the pan and brown on each side, about 2 to 3 minutes per side, depending on the cut of chicken.

Transfer chicken pieces to the slow cooker and arrange over the rice and tomatoes.

Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 3.5 hours.&nbsp;

Fluff the rice before serving and garnish with dried parsley.
