Avocado Toast

Toast your slice of bread until golden and firm.

Remove the pit from your avocado. Use a big spoon to scoop out the flesh. Put it in a bowl and mash it up with a fork until it&#8217;s as smooth as you like it. Mix in a pinch of salt (about 1/8 teaspoon) and add more to taste, if desired.

Spread avocado on top of your toast. Enjoy as-is or top with any extras offered in this post (I highly recommend a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt, if you have it).

I mixed with apple, cinnamon  ginger  and sweet pickles, yum.

Do you mash it up and spread it on toast? Do you slice it and put pieces on toast? Do you mash it and thin it with liquid to make it more spreadable? How much avocado do you use?  Now I know that half an avocado gets mashed first, followed by being spread on toast, and there is no need to dilute the mash to make it more spreadable.

I like to add fresh shredded Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast! They add another level  to the flavor!

I am 53 and I am eating my first ever slice of avacado toast that my husband just convinced me to try.  Omg, It is so heavenly.  Dark rye, avacado, salt and a little bit of garlic pepper.

I mashed avocado and added roasted garlic aioli to it.I spread that on top of Dave's Good Seed organic bread. I then topped it off with  scrambled eggs infused with sauteed green onions, spinach and goat cheese. Incredible culinary experience-no matter what time of the day!!

I just used what I had. Hummus, mashed advocado, slice tomato and a soft boiled egg sliced and a splash of baslamic and pepper. So good!

I didn't even think of the everything bagel seasoning. Worked lovely! Thanks for the other ideas. I see a lot of avocado toast in my future!

I made it semi-homemade with frozen and Garlic and/or Cheese thick breads toasted/mashed an avocado/a bit of salt/touch of Pico de Gallo w/cilantro. So yummy

Love avocado toast and great suggestions will try.  Everything but the bagel is my favorite cuz simple - I do use a 7 sprouted whole grain rye bread versus wheat. We buy it from a local bakery that has grown and now sells retail outside our state, Angelic Bakehouse. Check them out. I also sometimes sprinkle fresh scallions on top or stir in the fresh minced garlic paste in a tube-simple.  My other favorite toast indulgence is toasted rye with butter-again simple-but love rye.

I like to top it with pickled onion, arugula, and feta cheese.

A couple slices of bacon makes a heavenly addition.

I rarely watch cooking videos b/c they are ridiculously lengthy .... THANK YOU for a cooking video that cuts to the chase and shows me what I need to know! I will be tuning in for more!

Avocado Toast (6 Ways!)

In a toaster, heat the bread slices until golden brown. Alternatively, place the sliced bread on a baking sheet. Set the oven rack 6-inches from the top broiling element. Broil the bread until golden brown, about 1 to 3 minutes per side, keep a close eye on the color change.

Toast the bread (for all recipes)

Scoop out both sides of the avocado flesh into a small bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly mash the avocado with a fork, leaving some chunks. Divide the mixture onto the toasted bread. Drizzle some olive oil on top, season with salt, pepper, and garnish with parsley.

Simple Avocado Toast

Scoop out both sides of the avocado flesh into a small bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly mash the avocado with a fork, leaving some chunks. Spread the mixture onto the toasted bread slices. Add the tomatoes and cheese on the toast. Drizzle some olive oil and balsamic vinegar reduction on top, season with salt, pepper, and garnish with basil.

Caprese Avocado Toast

Scoop out both sides of the avocado flesh into a small bowl. Add ¼ teaspoon lime juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly mash the avocado with a fork, leaving some chunks. Spread the mixture onto the toasted bread slices. In a small bowl combine the diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapeno, and 1 teaspoon lime juice. Add the radish slices and salsa on the toast. Season with salt and pepper.

Salsa Avocado Toast

Scoop out both sides of the avocado flesh into a small bowl. Add ¼ teaspoon lime juice, salt, and pepper. Lightly mash the avocado with a fork, leaving some chunks. Spread the cream cheese over the toasted bread slices. Evenly spread the avocado mixture onto the toast. Layer slices of tomato and cucumber on top. Add pieces of smoked salmon, red onions, capers, and dill leaves. Season with black pepper.

Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast

Cook bacon in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate lined with a paper towel.

Scoop out both sides of the avocado flesh into a small bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper on top of the avocados. Lightly mash with a fork, leaving some chunks. Evenly divide the mixture onto the toast. Place 2 strips of bacon on each piece of toast.

Heat olive oil in the nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, crack the egg in the pan, cook until the white is set, about 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer egg to the toast and repeat with the other egg. Season with black pepper.

Bacon and Egg avocado toast

Cut the avocado down the center and remove the pit. Scoop out both sides of the flesh and slice into ¼-inch thick slices. Spread the cream cheese over the toasted bread slices. Layer the slices of avocado overlapping on top. In a small bowl mix together the white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, salt, garlic, and onion. Sprinkle ¼ to ½ teaspoon of the seasoning mix on top of the sliced avocado.

Everything Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast is hands down the best breakfast, lunch or dinner. It&#x27;s easy to make and with a few tips and tricks above, you&#x27;ll be set for life!

Avocado Toast (Original + 5 Creative Toppings)

Toast the piece of bread until the bread is just golden brown, about 2-3 minutes depending on the thickness of the bread.

For the halved avocado, remove the pit from the avocado and discard. Remove the avocado from the skin and place the avocado flesh into a medium bowl and mash it with a fork and a squeeze of the fresh lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper as needed.

Slater the mashed avocado on top of the toast. Add more salt and pepper is desired and serve immediately.

For a Classic Avocado Toast

Toss together the tomatoes and basil vinaigrette in a small bowl. Pile on top of the avocado toast and serve.

For the Tomato Basil Toast

Lay the smoked salmon on top of the avocado toast, followed by the red onions and serve.

Transfer the scrambled eggs on top of the avocado toast and add the bacon.

Sprinkle the goat cheese and chives on top of the avocado toast and serve.

One of life's greatest simple pleasures! I've included my favourite little trick in this Avocado Toast recipe - it gives it that extra little edge that you'll love!

avocado (ripe)

bread of choice (sourdough is my favorite)

garlic (cut in half (skin on))

Extra virgin olive oil (good quality)

Salt and pepper

lemon juice lemon

Cut avocado in half and remove seed.

Toast bread to your taste, using your method of choice.

While toast is still hot, lightly rub the surface with the cut side of the garlic clove.

Use a spoon to scoop avocado flesh out, then a fork to mush it onto the toast.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Squeeze over a bit of lemon juice, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with cilantro or parsley. Serve immediately!

In a pot of boiling water, boil the egg to your preferred level (I have tips on how to do this in the blog post above!)

Mash up the avocado and add it to the top of your toast.

In a separate dish, mix together the nasi goreng and sambal oelek. Spread this evenly over the avocado.

Top with the sliced scallions, then the egg, then the chili oil.

Serve immediately!

Halve the avocado vertically and remove the pit. Use a small knife to dice the avocado flesh while it's still inside the skin. Season the flesh with a squeeze of lemon juice and sprinkle it with sea salt.

Scoop the diced avocado flesh out of the skin and onto the toasted bread. Mash the avocado with the back of a fork and top with your desired toppings.

This avocado toast recipe has a secret ingredient that makes it rich in protein, fiber, iron, and folate. Drum roll please! ... It&#039;s chickpeas - but trust me, you&#039;d never know it! Great for vegans trying to up their protein intake or for picky eaters who hate the texture of beans! Think of this as Avocado Toast 2.0 👩🏻‍🍳

Protein Packed Avocado Toast

bread (toasted)

chickpeas

tsp white rice vinegar

maple syrup

tbsp chopped scallions

kosher salt and black pepper

Mash the avocado in a bowl and set aside.

Then rinse and drain the chickpeas and add them to the bowl with the avocado. Mash very well with a fork.

Next add the vinegar, maple, scallions, 2 big pinches of kosher salt and about 5-6 grinds of black peper. Mash again until the mixture resembles creamy guacamole. Then taste it and add more salt and pepper as needed.

Toast bread (I like to do this after making the avocado + chickpea mixture so the bread is nice and warm👩🏻‍🍳)

Top each piece of toast with the avocado mixture and whatever else you like. My favorite toppings for this recipe are pickled red onions and/or thinly sliced cucumbers. Enjoy!

Curry adds an unexpected but welcome spice to our beloved avocado toast — a tasty fried egg and fresh cilantro pull it all together. 

Curry-Avocado Crispy Egg Toast

Easy and simple avocado toast served with sunny side up fried eggs and pickled onions.

Avocado Toast with Eggs

Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Lay the bread slices and toast them until crisp and golden brown on both sides. Set aside.

Alternatively, you can toast the bread in a toaster.

To the same preheated pan, heat the oil on medium-low heat. Crack in the eggs, cook them for about 6-8 minutes, or until the whites are fully set and the yolk is cooked to your favorite doneness.

Meanwhile, to a shallow plate, mash the avocado with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

To assemble the toast, spread a spoonful of mashed avocado over the toast.

Top with 1 fried egg and season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper. Serve with pickled red onion and enjoy!

PESTO: To a food processor or small blender, add the basil, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt and blend/mix on high until a loose paste forms.

Add olive oil a little at a time (streaming in while the machine is on if possible) and scrape down sides as needed. Then add water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached — a loose, scoopable sauce that’s not too thin or watery.
